A Short Story: Why Transact in Marketplace?
For anyone who is undecided a) if building a transactable offer is worth the effort or b) if leading with Marketplace is superior to legacy procurement processes: Last night while I slept, we closed an enterprise deal in Australia. Yesterday, I created a custom private offer for the customer and sent them the acceptance link with a link to the Microsoft Learn page with instructions on how they accept the offer. Woke up this morning to a Partner Center-generated message confirming the deal was won and done. Yes, we had given them a demo; and yes, we had to get stakeholder commitment . . . but: Zero haggling on price. Zero contract redlines. Zero delays with traditional vendor onboarding etc. Even better, we leveraged our Marketplace Rewards (bar none my favorite GTM program!) to amplify customer value by providing Azure Sponsorship credits to offset the deployment cost. Even more better, this deal hits three of the levers in the FY24 Transact & Grow Incentive Campaign - meaning sometime in the next ~60 days Microsoft is going to send us $40k in free money. 🙂 I share this story not to boast but to inspire and motivate. Hello Microsoft Partner Community Team, I am urgently seeking assistance with an automated enrollment block. We are trying to register our business, Connect In Cloud Ltd (UK Companies House: 09550508), for the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, but we have triggered the "Microsoft runs on trust" security block. I am completely unable to raise a standard support ticket because my Partner Center dashboard shows no active workspaces, meaning the support form will not allow me to submit a request. Furthermore, the standard business phone support lines drop the call after instructing me to use the broken portal. I need a moderator to please escalate this directly to the Vetting and Enrollment team so I can provide my business documentation, verify my identity, and have this block cleared. Hello Microsoft Community, I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar and can point me in the right direction. I have been a Microsoft Partner since 2019. This past January I renewed my Partner Success Core Benefits pack. A couple of weeks ago I noticed I had lost access to all my benefits. I opened a support case, and after going back and forth I still have no resolution. The only explanation I've received is a reference to section 4.b of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement, which states that either party can terminate the relationship with 30 days' notice and without providing a reason. No notification was ever sent to me. No 30-day notice. I simply woke up one day with no access. At one point I was told I could re-enroll under a new tenant. I tried this, and it didn't work. When I followed up, the support team went back to citing section 4.b and closed the door again. I understand I'm a small partner in Microsoft's ecosystem, but I've invested years building my business around this partnership, renewed my benefits in good faith just a few months ago, and I would love to find a constructive way forward. My questions for the community: 1. **Is there a formal escalation path** beyond standard Partner Center support cases? 2. **Has anyone successfully re-enrolled** after a suspension of this kind, and what was the process? Any guidance, shared experience, or contacts would be enormously appreciated. I am not looking to complain, I just want to understand my options and get back to serving my customers. Situation: - My verification chain is: Verification Started (OK) > Email (OK) > Identity (OK) > Employment Verification = FAILED, showing "Pending Partner Action" (estimated date 18/07/2026). Business Verification was never reached. - Overall status is "Rejected" and the banner says the application is closed with "no appeals available". - The Verification Summary is view-only and the Legal Info page has no "Resolve"/upload control, so I have literally no way in the portal to provide the action or document the Employment step is waiting for. - Trying "Get support" from Partner Center loops me between a logged-in page and a "sign in" page - I can never reach a support form. our TSP was on-boarded some months before, and it has now been more than some months since we started delivering training courses. We received the welcome email, completed all required formalities, and have delivered some trainings, and learners redeemed the achievement codes, and completed the surveys in MTM. All of these sessions appear correctly in, MTM surveys, and related dashboards. However, in Partner Center it still shows “Not Started.” Could you guys please review this and help us understand why the status has not updated? Shout out to Microsoft Marketplace for launching AUTO ACTIVATION for SaaS private offers. This has simplified our sales operations for Microsoft Marketplace private offers, as well as dramatically improved our seller and customer experience with by eliminating the #1 reason we've historically seen block customers from completing Marketplace SaaS private offer procurement. Auto activation for private offers allows customers to skip the step of going to our SaaS landing page and activate Marketplace SaaS billing by having to SSO with their AAD. The problem with this step is that most of our customers are in regulated industries, and their AAD admins do not allow SSO on SaaS landing pages without enabling profile sharing, which requires a Global Admin to enable. We've encountered far too many times where our customer is scrambling to find their Global Admin so that they can complete the final steps to finish the steps to activate Marketplace SaaS billing. This also puts our sellers in the awkward position of having to help customers diagnose and troubleshoot the situation, which as a rule they are not equipped to, or find a Microsoft resource to help. Now, with this new feature the whole SSO to our SaaS landing page and associated problems are eliminated. Ever since we started using it our customers' procurement experience has been faster and smoother. I'm looking forward to more improvements to the Marketplace experience! Below is a summary of the issue and actions we have already taken. --- Purpose We have encountered an access issue when attempting to use the Microsoft Partner Center Hardware Developer Program. We learned the very very very hard way that next-day Marketplace invoicing does NOT play nicely with Coupa. Here's what happened: Back in April, we closed a Marketplace transaction via private offer with one of our enterprise customers. Not a new customer, either - this was for a license extension with a current customer with which we'd transacted through Marketplace twice before. 30 days go by, and Partner Center still shows the invoice as 'uncollected.' 60 days go by, and Partner Center still shows the invoice as 'uncollected.' I open a ticket with Marketplace support. And kudos to them, they pick up my ticket within an hour. "Customer hasn't paid the invoice," they tell us. So now we are forced to take on the role of collections agency for a Microsoft invoice our customer hasn't paid and for which we don't know why they haven't paid. (Partner Center's Revenue reports are rather light on useful details.) Our buyer inside the customer also has no idea why the invoice wasn't paid: She sits far away from the folks who pay the Microsoft bills. Her colleague in IT who pushed the buttons to purchase the private offer likewise has no idea why the invoice wasn't paid: He too sits far away from accounts payable. We're baffled because never before have we had any delay in getting our payouts for this customer's Marketplace purchases. Our first thought is okay, maybe they now have custom net 60 payment terms with Microsoft. (A different issue we experienced on a different delayed payout back in January!) After ten days of intensive investigations involving nearly a dozen different people, we finally discover the source of the issue: The customer pays its Microsoft bills through Coupa, BUT: they did NOT know about nor integrate into Coupa workflow the (relatively new) next-day invoicing mechanism for Marketplace transactions. For their accounts payable team, if an invoice doesn't land in Coupa, it doesn't exist. The invoice for this Marketplace purchase was generated, but it got sent . . . nowhere, I guess? So in picking up my support ticket, Marketplace Support could only say "Customer hasn't paid the invoice." They probably had no way to know the correct response was "Customer hasn't received the invoice." Moral of the story: Ask your customers if they use Coupa. And if yes, prepare them for the possibility they might not receive the invoice for your software.TSP Onboarding and Partner Center Access Questions- GSI Microsoft Partner
Hi There, Quick question regarding our Microsoft TSP onboarding. We submitted our onboarding request on June 5, 2026, but did not receive any updates until today (July 2, 2026), when my Microsoft GSI Skilling Lead helped connect me with your internal team. At that point, someone confirmed that our organization has now been onboarded as a TSP. My question is: Should we expect to see any changes in Partner Center once the onboarding is completed? For example: Should a TSP section or tab become available? Should we now see an option to purchase the TSP Action Pack or is that optional? Are there any Partner Center permissions or configurations that still need to be completed on our side? Additionally, I have a team in South Africa asking me to grant them access to Partner Center so they can manage TSP-related activities and track metrics. Before I proceed, I'd like to understand whether that access is actually required and whether I'm heading in the right direction. Could someone please provide some guidance on the expected next steps and what we should be seeing in Partner Center following the onboarding? Our India entity, ConvergeSoft International Private Limited (PartnerGlobal ID: 6077036), received the following response from Microsoft support: "Microsoft runs on trust... we are unable to reactivate your access. This decision cannot be changed by opening a new support case." Our account verification status shows Authorized. We have no outstanding invoices, no history of fraudulent or abusive activity, and are a legitimate 30-person software consulting firm serving enterprise clients across custom development, Salesforce consulting, and AI solutions. We respectfully request: 1. Escalation to the Partner Vetting / Trust & Safety team for manual review 2. Dear Microsoft, dear fellow partners, Please find below first experiences with the new "incentives experience" where the annual incentives guide was replaced with a website. This fine product can be found at: https://incentiveguide.partner.microsoft.com/en-US/ Site only shows a video, no matter which link you click. We want text, not video. I want the CSP M365 incentives info, not that video overlay again. 2. Site refers to a ‘product addendum’ but no such is found in the guide itself (it is in the MCI collection on OpsReadiness luckily - https://assetsprod.microsoft.com/mpn/en-us/microsoft-commerce-incentive-product-addendum.xlsx ) 3. The MCI collection (https://partner.microsoft.com/en-US/asset/collection/microsoft-commerce-incentive-resources#/) links to various files/links.
