As a Microsoft Solutions Partner (approx 400 employees) we are working on creating a dashboard for managers to see how we are faring from a skilling perspective. This also helps us in the tracking and working towards retaining our specializations and designations. So far we have used the Trainings Report derived from the downloads hub to feed our database with applicable certifications that are held by our employees. That database we then used to also report on our skilling requirements for the solution area's and the specializations. Recently Microsoft introduced new specializations (Copilot) and those specializations require Applied Skills to be held by employees. These applied skills do not show in the trainings report offered by Microsoft. (E.g. APL-4002: Prepare security and compliance to support Microsoft 365 Copilot,APL-7008: Create agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio or DW-101: Copilot for Microsoft 365 Deployment Workshop ) As such we're wondering whether Microsoft is working on including these applied skills in the trainings reporting?HELP!!!! Hello, I’m reaching out with a question related to Microsoft Partners and possible ways to support an educational, non-profit initiative. I run my own IT company and work with cloud solutions professionally. In addition, I teach/lecture in education out of passion (at a university and a higher-education school). I’m also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and currently hold 9 active Microsoft certifications. Separately, I am the president of the Horyzont Wiedzy Association (https://horyzontwiedzy.edu.pl), a non-profit organization whose statutory mission is to promote IT knowledge. As part of our association, we would like to organize pro bono “AZ-900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals” classes for high-school students (IT-focused classes) in our city, including students from multiple schools where I’m not formally employed. The goal is to help students get familiar with real-world technologies used in companies and give them an accessible entry point into cloud computing. We originally planned a 2-day format rather than a 1-day session so students could spend more time working hands-on and actually experience the cloud in practice (not only through theory). For this approach, access to affordable or free lab environments would be essential. Unfortunately, purchasing labs for a non-profit association is a significant expense for us. I previously asked about using Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) resources for this initiative, but I was informed that MSLE benefits/lab environments are exclusive to accredited academic institutions—so, as an association (not a registered school), we cannot rely on MSLE for these sessions. Could you please advise whether there is any Microsoft Partner-related program/pathway that could support this kind of non-profit educational activity (e.g., lab access, Azure credits, vouchers, community/education enablement options)? Our intention is strictly non-commercial and non-profit, and we would be happy to align with any required guidelines or reporting expectations. Thank you in advance for your direction and any contact you can share.Customer CUSTOMER_NAME notified of anomalous activity in Azure subscription
How do others feel about the alerts showing up in the Partner Center? We’ve detected suspicious or malicious activity in this Azure subscription. The customer of this subscription has been notified. What suspicious or malicious activity did microsoft detect you ask? An important security update is available for your Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) resource(s). That's right, there is no suspicious or malicious activity. Microsoft wants people to install an out of band security update and thought sending a notification to all azure customers was the best way to ensure that happened. Half the clients that received this alert aren't even running windows servers! Those that are running windows servers do not have the WSUS role installed. All the clients Microsoft alerted us about to suspicious activity in their subscriptions... Don't use WSUS We did have the pleasure of manually closing every single alert as "ignore" and I'm delighted to know that these alerts didn't count towards the security requirement to have an avg response time of less than 24h. I thought the partner security alerts were to notify us of critical issues microsoft detected in azure subscriptions. This, does not appear to be that. Am I missing something? thoughts?CSP Account Verified & Authorized yet Indirect Reseller Status: SUSPENDED
Hello Partner Community Please assist any way you can... JillArmourMicrosoft is this in your wheelhouse? We are an CSP partner that is struggling to have our indirect reseller account suspension lifted even though our partner account is now fully verified and authorised. Our account was originally suspended due to a business registration vs shop location mismatch that was not resolved within a 30 day termination notification time limit. We corrected the address problem AFTER the account was suspended and although our account is now verified and authorised, the Indirect Reseller account suspension has not been automatically lifted and we are unable to contact a human representative to have it manually moved back to the Active state. We have submitted several Partner Support tickets but they do not provide actual support at all and automated responses from these tickets return a disclaimer stating the following with no further correspondence and the ticket automatically closed. Hello, Thank you for contacting Microsoft Partner support about the notice of suspension and termination proceedings. In the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement, both Microsoft and our partners reserve the right to walk away from the partner relationship by providing 30 days' notice to the other. Neither party is required to offer an explanation for the decision to terminate the partner agreement. As Microsoft is exercising its rights under this section 4.b of the Microsoft AI Cloud Program Agreement, we are unable to share an explanation or further details. Kind Regards, *Random Name* (He/Him) Support Engineer Partner Support Delivery - Program Customer Support My Working Hours: M-F 11:30 AM to 08:30 PM AEDT This lack of support is excruciatingly frustrating and terribly aggravating given that we are now subject to an indefinite period of considerable income loss with no recourse. Note that along with the suspension, emails have been sent to our customers notifying them that we are no longer qualified to act as their licensing provider which has been distressing for both our sales team and the customers. Our distributor is doing the best they can to help but they are unable to provide any real assistance and from what I hear, are unable to get any sensible advice from their Microsoft reps. Upon speaking with several other indirect resellers and distributors alike, it is my understanding that many partners are suffering the same or similar denial of service and I question whether this practice is even legal under Australian law regardless of any contractual fine print and disclaimers after the fact. This denial of support is a huge failure of Microsoft's policy makers and extremely poor business practice in general. If Microsoft wish to declare utter contempt for the small businesses that have supported them for several decades then those businesses might consider alternative platforms for their customers going forward. To conclude, I welcome any support or feedback from the community to help resolve this particular problem and help others with the same issue. Kind Regards, One very Frustrated Reseller.SolvedBoosting cloud and AI ROI: The power of Microsoft Marketplace

Unlocking growth: the channel-led Marketplace opportunity | Microsoft Community HubPrint/export private offer & terms to a PDF for customer's offline processes?
Hi all, We have a situation where a customer is asking for a 'private offer' to be published to them - which is fine, we have done that. However, their procurement processes don't appears quite up to speed with using 'digital marketplaces' and so their procurement person is asking if we can send them a PDF hardcopy of the 'private offer', so they can send it onwards internally for approvals, before clicking the 'accept and then 'purchase' buttons in Marketplace. It seems that the authority within the customer that needs to approve it, is not actually a person that uses or will log onto the Azure Portal to view and accept the offer... and that a person who will logon to the Azure Portal to 'accept' it, first needs to send a PDF/hardcopy to someone to approve it. Is there a way that we as the ISV can export the 'private offer' to PDF for them, or a way for them to view the private offer in their Azure Portal and to export that to a PDF, so they can use internally for their approval processes?Microsoft CSP - Indirect Reseller Status is Suspended and Can't Get Fixed
I am in a very bad spot with our indirect reseller Microsoft account and am hoping that maybe someone out there might be able to help me. In mid May, I placed an order with Pax8 for a new customer and the order was rejected by Microsoft with the error, "Associated partner LegalBusinessProfile NotFound." It turns out that when we moved offices and I updated our business's address at http://partner.microsoft.com, Microsoft de-authorized our partner status, which I didn't catch, and then put our Cloud Service Provider (CSP) indirect reseller program into "Suspended" status after some time. In the partner center, I was able to get our legal business profile fixed easy enough - I just had to open a ticket and send them some legal documentation. Everything under the "Partner" tab in the Partner Portal is now green checkboxes and "Authorized". Pax8 tried the provisioning again, and got the same error. It turns out that our "Indirect Reseller status" is now "Suspended" and this wasn't changed when the "Partner" status was fixed. Microsoft has a webpage that describes why this can happen and what to do to get it fixed at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/account-settings/suspended-partner-center-account . It says, "Microsoft suspends Partner Center accounts for Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program when: Significant account abuse is detected Your vetting status is Rejected for more than 30 days" We haven't had any account abuse (mercifully, our existing tenants are still operational and being billed for through Pax8), so our vetting status was almost certainly to blame. That same document says, "If you are sure that your account is compliant and should be moved back to Active state, contact https://partner.microsoft.com/dashboard/support/servicerequests/create for help with reactivating your account," so I opened a ticket with Microsoft. Actually, 3 tickets so far, because every single one has the same copy-and-paste reply: Thank you for contacting Microsoft Partner support about the suspension of the CSP account. In the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement, both Microsoft and our partners reserve the right to walk away from the partner relationship by providing 30 days' notice to the other. The notice of suspension and termination proceeding was provided April 2024. Neither party is required to offer an explanation for the decision to terminate the partner agreement. As Microsoft is exercising its rights under this section 4.b of the Microsoft AI Cloud Program Agreement, we are unable to share an explanation or further details. Thanks, I can't get anywhere with Microsoft support. We just landed a big customer and need to set up their tenant. I am afraid that if this goes on much longer or if somehow we are unable to add any more customers to our Pax8 account, that we'll lose this customer, which is large enough to really hurt the business. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to get through to someone at Microsoft that could help with this situation? Does anyone else have any other ideas on what else we could try? Some additional notes: When clicking "Agreements" in the partner portal, we get an error message, "Service unavailable. Something went wrong. Please try reloading the page, if this problem persists please contact https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=868372." Everything in Legal Info/Partner looks good. Our "Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program status" is "Active". Everything in Legal Info/Reseller looks good except that "Indirect Reseller status" shows "Suspended". Under Identifiers/Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, I have 1 PartnerGlobal ID and 2 PartnerLocation IDs, corresponding to our old and new addresses. Do I need to delete the old PartnerLocation ID? I haven't done so because it looks like this step is irreversible but I am getting desperate enough to try it. Our "Company profile" is not filled out, but the "Update" button stays grayed out after I fill in the information and it appears that I am unable to update this. I thought that maybe I just needed to sign the "Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement" again, but I can't find anywhere on the partner portal where I would do so. I went through my emails exhaustively and we did not receive a, "notice of suspension and termination proceeding" in April 2024, or any other time for that matter. I can't find a copy of the Microsoft AI Cloud Program Agreement to even see what section 4.b says. I've dealt with government bureaucracies a lot in my career, but I've never experienced a Kafkaesque situation 10% as bad as this one. This is probably the most stressful thing I've dealt with in this business in the last decade. This could destroy our business if I can't get this sorted out. Sorry for the wall of text, but I tried to include as much detail as possible and it got long. If you got to this point in my post, thank you for helping or trying to help me. I can't get my company/entity approved on the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner (PartnerCenter) because it sees another instance of my entity. Originally, I attempted to use my domain https://sivility.com but because that's hosted with Godaddy, Microsoft wouldn't allow the domain to be used to register on the PartnerCenter. So I'm now attempting to register my company under the domain http://www.sivilitysystems.com but it now gives me the error below because it see's the first attempt under the first domain I tried and failed on. So the system automatically rejects me. I need this fixed because I'm an IT Company and have lots of customers relying on me getting this resolved. {"code":2100,"description":"A legal entity matching the request payload already exists when creating the legal entity.","data":[],"source":"PartnerAccountEnrollmentApi"}SolvedUsing GDAP with Purview Roles for Search and Purge
I'm facing an issue that I believe may be related to how my current employer has set up GDAP, but I am struggling to get a solid answer on the solution to the issue as it's not clear if the problem is simply a limitation through GDAP or something not configured correctly. Scenario: We have a GDAP relationship set up with 20+ clients that provides us with Entra roles such as Security Operator, User Administrator, etc. Various Entra roles to perform common tasks as an MSP We are currently unable to perform email purges using Explorer in Defender or Purview, as the role required appears to be only assignable to a user account or group that exists in the tenant in question, and as we are acting through GDAP, there is no account or group to give that role to. On the back of this, I have several questions/requests: Should a GDAP relationship also create some group or guest/external user that roles of this nature can be assigned to? Is there something specific we need to do through our GDAP configuration to allow us to search and purge emails?Request to Connect with Microsoft Partner Manager in UAE for Co-sell Collaboration
