CSP Indirect Reseller Status Deactivated – Guidance Needed

Hello,

In Partner Center, our CSP Indirect Reseller status is currently showing as Deactivated. Because of this, we are unable to manage customers or subscriptions.

I would like to know:

  • What are the common reasons this Deactivation occurs?
  • What corrective actions are typically required to reactivate the reseller status?
  • Should this be handled directly with Microsoft Partner Support, or escalated through the assigned indirect provider?

Any guidance or best practices from the community would be very helpful.

Thank you.

    Hello Faizan,

Very nasty when you cannot operate as a CSP. In general there could be one- or more reasons you are no longer active. Your indirect provider should be able to support you and provide guidance based on error codes produced when you submit an order. Details on reasons/resolutions can be found at:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/customers/indirect-provider-tasks-in-partner-center#common-error-messages-and-how-to-fix-them

Your indirect provider can use the PoR API to check (supposed to be most truthful source). Or instead your disti can download a report found via Insights > Download hub > cloud performance > new report > Reseller eligibility) which contains details on any errors preventing success.

as noted the PoR API provides most current status according to Microsoft in recent calls on the subject.

    Regards,

    Martijn
