Customers who are using Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management apps are unable to use follow-me printing and secure printing with the Document Routing Agent (DRA) instead they have to print to PDF and then send to a printer. To support the Intune Shared PC concept where a local guest user logs on to a machine (and get their profile deleted upon logout), support for machine centric print queues would be a good addition to the feature set of Universal Print. It would be convenient and reassuring if there could be a way to monitor or set an alert to the Remaining Print Jobs value on the Usage and Reports section.     For eg. An email alert to users who are Global or Printer Administrators when 5% of the licenses remain. The ability for an admin to change the variables of recipients and threshold would also be nice in this scenario.   Another example could be setting "Remaining Print Jobs" as a get value directly from a Powershell command or other type of API call or log value which would help to integrate with other monitoring solutions.   ... There’s a disconnect when trying to use a service principle since Universal Print is technically an M365 thing. It seems that Universal Print was trying to remote workers printing to a centralized printer. However, enterprises need the ability to automate the printing jobs from software. In our case, we are printing PDFs that are generated and stored in Cosmos and trying to print them on local printers through a custom queuing process (i.e. auto insurance cards print to drawer 1 on printer A in letter, checks print to the MICR printer, etc). Our enterprise network resides behind secure firewalls. Windows universal print client tries to connect to azure servers directly and is blocked. After some testing with "netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server=" we can force and set up printers through the proxy. However this is a low level global settings we don't want to roll out enterprise wide to all our workstations.   Please make Windows Universal Print client use/accept standard windows proxy settings. Stored jobs will remain for a maximum time and then will be automatically deleted.   The user will be able to consult a history of the jobs printed in the last x Days, with accounting information of the jobs.   These service features may be available in the Microsoft Graph for device manufacturers and software developers to integrate into their systems. Many customers will support numerous printers and print queues - both printer server based and IP printing. One customer wtih 1000 users and 200 printers will potentially need to configure all of those printers by hand. A tool or feature to discover all print servers (from AD or Azure AD), discover all IP print queues (from network or from devices) would be beneficial.
