We've recently deployed Universal Print to one of our offices and we're testing on a smaller scale in another. The company I work for is an engineering consulting firm, and our users often deal with PDFs and other documents that have various page sizes within the document itself (8.5x11 and 11x17 most commonly for example). We can print any supported document size just fine if we're printing only on letter or only on legal/tabloid, but if we try to print a document with mixed page sizes, it seems like the MS Universal Print driver prints to the smallest page size. In our case, 11x17 pages get printed on 8.5x11 instead. One user reported this, and I was able to confirm this on a different printer. Both printers are configured for Universal Print, one is connected via a Universal Print Connector, and one is directly connected to Universal Print via the printer's settings. We are able to print documents with varying page sizes successfully if we use the manufacturer's print drivers. I could be very wrong, but from what I'm able to find online from Microsoft there is no specific support for printing documents with varying page sizes just yet, and that halts our ability to transition to using Universal Print company-wide.
