Follow me printing authentication using the Azure joined user access device.
Follow me printing authentication using the Azure joined user access device.
The only option i have is to scan the QRCode using a phone. If i am working in a secure environment i would need to give everybody corporate Azure managed phones, otherwise i would have to have a conditional access policy that allowed them to login into the Azure secure environment from a personal device which is a very bad security idea.
Is there no way to release the print job by authenticating from a user access device which sent the print job in the first place? For instance i walk up the printer with my Azure joined User access device and authenticate the print job by visiting an azure webpage?

Hi,
a real followme Print/pull print is only possible with 3rd party intergrations. these solutions get the print data from MS Uni print. and then store this. after the users login on the printer/multifucntional device, the print job can be released.
how to login, depends on the solution, mostly with IDCard/Badge, PIN, or username and password, bio metric etc.
additional feature from followme is, you have just one printer to print, but can release at all connected print devices. etc.

To check my understanding, the suggestion here is to allow the user to send a print job to printer from their laptop, walk up to the printer with their laptop, and authenticate using the laptop at the printer to trigger job release. Is that correct? If so, I'm curious if any of your users have desktop machines and whether they need to print.
Would other release methods like entering a PIN or scanning a badge at the printer address your need?
