Looking at https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/partnership/partner-benefits-packages-benefits#tab-1 it says that Partner Launch benefits include "Microsoft 365 Business Premium - includes Copilot". I took this to mean I didn't need to buy Copilot separately to work in 365 Apps like Word. However, on trying to use it this way, it seems that the Copilot referred to here is just Copilot chat with no integration with Word, SharePoint, etc. which is pretty much available for free anyway. I raised a ticket with Partner Support (2507150010000100) and they said that Copilot functionality within 365 apps is not included. Even Copilot chat itself gives confused answers. When I ask it "Explain the Copilot inclusions (if any) in Microsoft Partner Launch. Does it include Copilot to generate content in Microsoft Word?" It says: Yes, the Microsoft Partner Launch includes Copilot capabilities, and Copilot is available for generating content in Microsoft Word. Here’s a breakdown of the key inclusions: ✅ Copilot in Microsoft Word Microsoft Copilot is now integrated into Word for both consumer and commercial users. It can: Generate polished documents from prompts (e.g., recipes, reports, letters). Assist with rewriting, summarizing, and formatting. Help brainstorm and structure content based on user input I suggest that Microsoft clarifies what "Microsoft 365 ... includes Copilot" means on pages like the linked one above to avoid others being confused like me (and Copilot chat!) Thanks, ClancyAchievement Code URL Creation Issue
Dear Team, We are unable to complete the “Learner Course & Achievement Code URL Creation” process. After generating the URL as instructed in the documentation, we do not see the “Request Achievement Code” button. We submitted the Microsoft Learn Organization Enrollment on July 8, but the issue still persists. In addition, we have already tried the troubleshooting suggestions available online, and we also attempted the enrollment process using three different email addresses — unfortunately, none of these resolved the problem. Could you please advise on what we can do next? Thank you very much for your support!REMINDER: Partner of the Year Award nominations are due July 18, 2025

A new one on me, but one to watch for if you haven't yet yourselves encountered it: Back in April, we created an Azure Marketplace private offer for an enterprise customer Customer has a MACC; but instead of their EA number, they gave us a subscription ID with the explanation they separate their internal consumption from Marketplace purchases Customer waited until 2 May to purchase their private offer Seemed innocuous at the time, but . . . the combination of purchasing under a subscription ID + waiting until early in a new month to execute the purchase = the transaction not landing on their Microsoft Azure bill until June. Which in turn means they don't have to pay Microsoft until July. Which in turn means we don't receive our payout until August. Or maybe September. Clever, eh? Good for the customer's cash flow. Less good for ours. Some customers are getting wise to the nuances of Marketplace billing and payment cycles, so be wary of the impacts on your cashflow! #MarketplaceChampions #SponsoredAZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions certificate not getting

Dear Microsoft, fellow partners, Partnercenter (benefits section / logo builder at https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/dashboard/mpn/membership/benefits/logobuilder) offers various documents partners can use to prove their status within the MCAIPP (formerly MPN). These ‘letters’ are similar in setup, but not quite and differ in important aspects which requires these letters to be generated more often that really needed… Legacy letter The legacy competency letter has no enddate (hurray!) MAF letter Valid for 3 months (90 days) Must add 1 sku (?) Requires customer details Requires tender reference Only for non-CSP authorizations/VL ? (MPSA, Enterprise Direct Advisor, EES etc) SPD letter Asks customer details (not required like with MAF) Includes ALL or None of business locations (as opposed to selection in the MAF letter) Only valid for a month (30 days) If we have requests for these letters spread evenly over the year we are required to keep generating a new letter every Q or M depending on what is asked for; while details remain unchanged (except for the date) The Microsoft partnership is renewed once a year, and valid for a year. Any SPD’s attained are also held until next renewal, so there is no apparent need to limit the validity of either proof to a period which isn’t even related to the membership year. Despite that, current properties of the letters ignore these facts leading to unnecessary burden for partners. We have the following suggestions: MAF Remove 90 day period in MAF letter / coterm with membership year* Remove need to add a sku Remove need for adding customer details Remove need for tender reference Optionally also add the CSP authorization based on signed MPA in the MAF as this will be the motion going forward (or would Microsoft prefer to create a separate letter for that…?) SPD: Remove 1 month validity / coterm with membership year* Remove need for customer details Make ‘None’, ‘All’ or selected locations visible on letter *Alternative: list the membership year for the partner, so customers know that between moment of payment for new program year / next years renewal we hold certain authorizations and/or status. (month x until month y next year) With regards to renewal process: could Microsoft please revert to the OLD system, where a partner renews before membership expires? Currently as soon as a partner initiates renewal; the attained SPD’s drop off (also visible in the business profile listing) only to reappear after payment has been received. With regards to the payment process: when do you expect your system to be able to identify the unique combination of Partner ID + Order ID when sending a payment for membership fee; by reading the payment description field? (that would save every partner & their Finance department creating ‘proof of payment’ which is to be uploaded to complete the renewal….) General remarks: Why is it Dan Rippey handing out the solutions partner certified letter, but when we request the Solutions partner congratulatory letter its signed by Nicole Dezen? Hi, I have a company that only provides training. I created it because I have a group of trainers who are all certified and MCTs. But I'd actually like to also become a Training Services Partner. So, in short: I have a company with ID. The trainers are MCTs. Questions: What do we have to do for the company to also become a Training Services Partner? Hello Partner Community Please assist any way you can... JillArmourMicrosoft is this in your wheelhouse? We are an CSP partner that is struggling to have our indirect reseller account suspension lifted even though our partner account is now fully verified and authorised. Our account was originally suspended due to a business registration vs shop location mismatch that was not resolved within a 30 day termination notification time limit. We corrected the address problem AFTER the account was suspended and although our account is now verified and authorised, the Indirect Reseller account suspension has not been automatically lifted and we are unable to contact a human representative to have it manually moved back to the Active state. We have submitted several Partner Support tickets but they do not provide actual support at all and automated responses from these tickets return a disclaimer stating the following with no further correspondence and the ticket automatically closed. Hello, Thank you for contacting Microsoft Partner support about the notice of suspension and termination proceedings. In the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement, both Microsoft and our partners reserve the right to walk away from the partner relationship by providing 30 days' notice to the other. Neither party is required to offer an explanation for the decision to terminate the partner agreement. As Microsoft is exercising its rights under this section 4.b of the Microsoft AI Cloud Program Agreement, we are unable to share an explanation or further details. Kind Regards, *Random Name* (He/Him) Support Engineer Partner Support Delivery - Program Customer Support My Working Hours: M-F 11:30 AM to 08:30 PM AEDT This lack of support is excruciatingly frustrating and terribly aggravating given that we are now subject to an indefinite period of considerable income loss with no recourse. Note that along with the suspension, emails have been sent to our customers notifying them that we are no longer qualified to act as their licensing provider which has been distressing for both our sales team and the customers. Our distributor is doing the best they can to help but they are unable to provide any real assistance and from what I hear, are unable to get any sensible advice from their Microsoft reps. Upon speaking with several other indirect resellers and distributors alike, it is my understanding that many partners are suffering the same or similar denial of service and I question whether this practice is even legal under Australian law regardless of any contractual fine print and disclaimers after the fact. This denial of support is a huge failure of Microsoft's policy makers and extremely poor business practice in general. If Microsoft wish to declare utter contempt for the small businesses that have supported them for several decades then those businesses might consider alternative platforms for their customers going forward. To conclude, I welcome any support or feedback from the community to help resolve this particular problem and help others with the same issue. Kind Regards, One very Frustrated Reseller.Episode 166 of Microsoft Cloud and Hosting Partners starts in two hours
Hi, just to let you know the next episode of the Microsoft Cloud and Hosting Partner online meetings will start at 12:30 Sydney time today. Todays session is one I'm really looking forward to as the focus is "Dynamics Contact Center" to be presented by Josh Burgess. To me Dynamics Contact Center embodies so much of the Microsoft story ... Modern Work, Teams, Dynamics, Azure, Agents and 3rd party technologies too. And moreover offers an incredible opportunity for Microsoft Partners to help customers with Customer Service with omni-channel capabilities linked to current Customer systems and accelerated with Copilot AI. If you don't have the invitation please send me, mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons an email. The pre-approved content for the meeting is available in the Community OneDrive http://aka.ms/chpom to download. See you online soon.
