DMarc Issues
I am using Microsoft 365 Business emali (Exchange) online. I have created the following TXT record for _dmarc: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=100; rua=mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons; ruf=email address removed for privacy reasons I keep on receiving reports that there are failures with my Dmarc record. Any idea how to fix this? Sample XML error report below: <?xml version="1.0"?> <feedback xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <version>1.0</version> <report_metadata> <org_name>Enterprise Outlook</org_name> <email>email address removed for privacy reasons</email> <report_id>640f326a62f640e4815e84e6f0020d9c</report_id> <date_range> <begin>1730764800</begin> <end>1730851200</end> </date_range> </report_metadata> <policy_published> <domain>z.com</domain> <adkim>r</adkim> <aspf>r</aspf> <p>none</p> <sp>none</sp> <pct>100</pct> <fo>0</fo> </policy_published> <record> <row> <source_ip>40.107.96.92</source_ip> <count>1</count> <policy_evaluated> <disposition>none</disposition> <dkim>fail</dkim> <spf>fail</spf> </policy_evaluated> </row> <identifiers> <envelope_to>b.net</envelope_to> <envelope_from>z.com</envelope_from> <header_from>z.com</header_from> </identifiers> <auth_results> Thanks!!!!EMR88Nov 08, 2024Copper Contributor19Views0likes2CommentsDLP Exception for "Permission Controlled" Not Working (Microsoft Purview | RMS Template | Encrypt)
Hello, We are in the process of moving some of our mail-flow / transport rules over to Microsoft Purview. We don't want the DLP policy to apply when people click their "Encrypt" or "Do not Forward" buttons (RMS templates; OME encryption.) Putting "Permission Controlled" in the exceptions group should theoretically let the emails go through. The exception we have for when people put "Encrypt" in the subject line works (we have a mail-flow rule that encrypts those emails.) But actually clicking "Options" > "Set permissions on this item" > "Encrypt" doesn't remove the policy tip on an email draft, and people are unable to send the emails. Can someone verify that this rule is constructed properly? If so, we may have to reach out to Microsoft Support. Thank you so much for your time and help!NateCyberNov 04, 2024Copper Contributor163Views0likes2CommentsGuidance Needed on Microsoft 365 Subscription for Teams App Development
I am currently developing an app for Teams and have set up accounts in the Azure portal, joined the developer program, and accessed the Teams developer portal. However, when attempting to log in to the Teams admin center, an error occurs: Internal calls to PLS Service have failed. We can't find the tenant region for tenantId. Please try again later to jointhe developer program, the message indicated: `Thank you for joining. You don't currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.`. Research revealed that Microsoft discontinued the free subscription. A subscription is needed to access the Microsoft Teams admin center and for Teams app development. I can see various Microsoft 365 plans for businesses like Basic and Standard, as well as licenses available in the Microsoft 365 admin center. I am considering the Microsoft Teams Essentials license. However, there is confusion regarding whether to buy a subscription or a specific license, especially since active users in the 365 admin center are showing as unlicensed. Could anyone advise on which plan or license is necessary for Teams app development?manav1430Nov 03, 2024Copper Contributor148Views0likes2CommentsHelp to reset Multi-Factor Authentication settings
Due to the loss of the administrator's mobile phone, Microsoft's Multi-Factor Authentication cannot be authenticated. We need the help of another cloud service administrator to organize the reset of the Multi-Factor Authentication settings.lisashwwNov 03, 2024Copper Contributor85Views0likes2CommentsCan't license 365 groups anymore
Ever since group based licensing was moved from Entra to 365 admin, it's no longer possible to apply licenses to to 365 groups. This is clearly broken and needs fixing. What's the process to raise this with Microsoft? I tried using Graph but that's also broken, even when following the MS doc. I raised a support case but they guy that called back was absolutely useless, didn't even know what I was talking about.drkmccyNov 03, 2024Brass Contributor102Views0likes2CommentsExchange admin center Delegation permissions error
I am having a strange issue with Exchange Admin Centre I am signed in as a Global Administrator but when I go to a user's mailbox and then to the delegation tab I get the following error. Failed to get mailbox permissions Error: User is not allowed to call Get-MailboxPermission Is this a bug? I wouldn't think it was a permissions issue as I have been fine for years with my current ones.SolvedJimmy-StuffinsOct 30, 2024Copper Contributor3KViews0likes17CommentsForce change password at next login on-premise and MS online
Hi Currently, I have a hybrid environment with AD on-premise, Azure AD sync (with password hash & SSPR), and Exchange Online. My goal is to force change the password at the next login from on-premise AD to MS online and vice versa. It's working. When I change the password on-premise AD, MS Online prompts me to change the password. It is not working when I set the account from the Admin center to force the password change at the next login; it does not sync to on-premise AD. The domain computer will not prompt to change password. Thanks in advance MS recommend to try this Install-Module -Name Microsoft.Graph Connect-MgGraph -Scopes "OnPremDirectorySynchronization.ReadWrite.All" Then run this command. $OnPremSync = Get-MgDirectoryOnPremiseSynchronization $OnPremSync.Features.UserForcePasswordChangeOnLogonEnabled = $true Update-MgDirectoryOnPremiseSynchronization -OnPremisesDirectorySynchronizationId $OnPremSync.Id -Features $OnPremSync.Features77Views0likes0CommentsDomain Status show Possible service issues with MX having Error but checked MX Record its the same
Hi, Just found out that Microsoft 365 Admin Centre > Domains show custom domain having Possible service issue status. When clicked into it, it shows MX status having error. Did a nslookup -type=MX "xxxx.com" and did a comparison with DNS MX Record, It shows exactly the same value as Microsoft 365. Not sure what is exactly the issue. We did not make any amendment to any settings.143Views0likes1CommentUnable to Find "App Password" Option in Microsoft 365 Email Through GoDaddy
Hello Community, I am managing a Microsoft 365 email account through GoDaddy for my company, and I'm trying to set up App Passwords for use with our email verification system. However, when I go to the Security Info section and select Add Sign-in Method, the App Password option does not appear in the drop-down. Here’s what I’ve already tried: MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is enabled for the account. I've checked and disabled Security Defaults as suggested in some articles. I’ve ensured Legacy Authentication is not blocked in Azure AD. Despite these steps, I still can't see the option to add an App Password. Has anyone else encountered this issue with GoDaddy and Microsoft 365? Any ideas on how to get the App Password option to appear or potential workarounds? Thank you in advance for your help!AdBlockNinjaOct 24, 2024Copper Contributor144Views0likes1Comment
