Hello Microsoft Community, I am seeking urgent assistance and guidance regarding a critical Microsoft 365 tenant lockout that has been ongoing for several days without a resolution or proper communication from the support team. Our organization manages Microsoft 365 services for a business with more than 200 active users who depend on Microsoft 365 for their daily operations. Issue Description We have been locked out of our Microsoft 365 tenant's administrator account. This prevents us from properly managing our Microsoft 365 environment and restoring normal access to essential business services. Our business-critical data, including important documents and operational information, is stored in SharePoint. The inability to access and manage these services has significantly disrupted our business operations. Microsoft Support Ticket References We have raised multiple support tickets and followed up repeatedly, but the issue remains unresolved. Tracking ID: 2610050040001149 Tracking ID: 2610090010001066 Tracking ID: 2610050040001222 Despite these support cases and repeated follow-ups, we have not received a satisfactory resolution or a clear recovery timeline. Support Experience So Far Following a discussion with the support team, we were expecting a call to assist with unlocking the administrator account and providing a temporary password through the appropriate recovery process. However, we have not received the expected call or a meaningful update. Our main concerns are: Complete loss of access to the Microsoft 365 tenant administrator account. More than 200 users affected by the ongoing incident. Critical business data and documents stored in SharePoint. Multiple support tickets without a concrete resolution. Lack of clear communication regarding the root cause and recovery timeline. No clear escalation path or confirmation of the next recovery steps. Our Concerns We understand that technical issues can occur, but leaving a business-critical environment inaccessible for an extended period without meaningful updates is extremely concerning. We purchase Microsoft 365 licenses through a partner and expect appropriate technical support and escalation assistance when critical incidents occur. Our organization previously used Google Workspace and recommended migrating to Microsoft 365 because of its enterprise capabilities. This incident has seriously affected user confidence and business continuity. If access cannot be restored promptly, we may have to consider alternative email hosting arrangements to minimize further disruption. Request for Assistance I would appreciate guidance from Microsoft engineers, Microsoft 365 administrators, and community members who have experienced similar situations. What is the appropriate escalation process when all available tenant administrator accounts are inaccessible? How can we expedite tenant ownership verification and administrator account recovery? Is there a dedicated Microsoft team that handles critical tenant lockout incidents affecting business operations? What is the recommended recovery process when the administrator cannot access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center? How can we obtain urgent assistance when multiple support tickets and repeated follow-ups have not resulted in a clear resolution? Can the three referenced support tickets be escalated for urgent review by the appropriate Microsoft support team? We are not looking for workarounds that compromise tenant security. We need Microsoft's official recovery process to restore authorized administrative access safely. Microsoft Support Team: If any Microsoft support representatives are monitoring this community, we would appreciate your guidance on the appropriate escalation channel for this incident. We can provide additional information privately through the appropriate official channels. Thank you for your time and assistance. Any guidance that helps us restore our services and protect business continuity would be greatly appreciated. I have an existing Microsoft 365 tenant with a single Exchange Online (Plan 1) licence that was purchased through Bluehost (Endurance International Holding B.V. CSP). Microsoft notified me that Endurance is no longer authorised as a Direct Bill CSP, so I decided to purchase a new Exchange Online (Plan 1) subscription directly from Microsoft My current situation is: Exchange Online (Plan 1) purchased through Bluehost/Endurance Exchange Online (Plan 1) purchased directly from Microsoft Both subscriptions are now active The problem is that Microsoft 365 appears to pool the licences together. Under Users → Active users → Licences and apps I only see Exchange Online (Plan 1) and there is no way to choose which subscription the user is assigned to. The licensing page simply shows: Licences assigned from all subscriptions: 1 / 2 The two subscriptions are only distinguishable by their billing profiles (one is the Bluehost/Endurance CSP subscription and the other is my new Microsoft direct subscription). I want to make sure my mailbox is consuming the Microsoft direct licence. How can I determine which subscription my user is currently licensed from? If the user is still consuming the CSP licence, what is the supported way to move them onto the Microsoft direct subscription? Is the licence automatically reassigned if the CSP subscription is cancelled, or is there a manual process that should be followed? I want to keep the existing tenant, mailbox, domain and email data and only change the billing source for the licence. Any guidance from anyone who has completed this transition would be greatly appreciated.307Views0likes2CommentsI made a new microsoft 365 tenant and suddenly users appeared
Made a new Microsoft tenant account for a customer and few hours later suddenly there were several users on the list without being added? They include several no longer active users and old names for people(like maiden names for married women). The customer is currently using Google workspace and is transitioning to 365. Any idea why? And what happens if I just delete them all? Will they come back and haunt us again?1.3KViews0likes3CommentsOnedrive sharing not working for one user
There is only one user who cannot share with anyone external or internal. I have checked everything, they are a site owner, a site admin, a site member, we have no restrictions on sharing, it works for others. I made a new site just for them as the only admin, they still cannot share. They have been removed and re-added 5 times. We have a microsoft support ticket and they don't even seem to know the issue. What can I do?319Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Feedback Portal account issue
I changed my Microsoft email a year ago, and it updated everywhere other than the Feedback Portal. As a result, I get an error when I try to login, or do anything on the page. Microsoft account support's suggestion was to login to the Feedback Portal which is insane given I'm having issues accessing it. How can I get this issue resolved? I've got three separate support tickets now and they keep asking me to wait 24 hours to get the issue resolved. Can someone from the Feedback Portal team please contact me to resolve this? This is what Microsoft Support have said: "understand your frustration, and yes—this is an account‑related issue because the Feedback Portal is still tied to your old alias, which causes login conflicts and forces you out. Your Microsoft account itself signs in correctly, but the Feedback Portal is pulling outdated identity data that you cannot update on your own. Since you cannot access the Portal to submit feedback, directing you back there is not a workable solution. What you need is for Support to escalate this to the internal Identity/Feedback Platform engineering team so they can manually correct the outdated alias mapping on the backend. In this situation, the Feedback Portal and Tech Community teams are the ones who manage and maintain that specific platform. Because the issue appears on the Feedback Portal side—even though your Microsoft account is working normally—only their dedicated team can make the necessary corrections on their end. That’s why we are guiding you to connect with them through the links provided: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/ or https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback. They will be able to review the portal‑specific account data and assist you further. I understand why this is frustrating. Since you’re unable to stay signed in to the Feedback Portal, I completely see why posting there isn’t possible for you. However, I do need to be transparent: I’m not able to escalate this issue directly to the Feedback Portal team, as they don’t provide internal escalation channels for us and only accept requests through their own platform."369Views0likes2CommentsMicrosoft 365 admin center support
I am extremely disappointed with the customer support experience associated with Microsoft 365 Business. As a business customer, I expected a reliable support system. Unfortunately, the reality has been the opposite, and I feel compelled to caution others to carefully consider their options before committing their hard-earned money to a Microsoft 365 business subscription. After purchasing Microsoft Business licenses and transitioning my services from GoDaddy to Microsoft, I lost access to my global admin credentials. This should be a straightforward issue for support to resolve, yet it has turned into a prolonged and frustrating ordeal. For the past two weeks, I have been trying to obtain assistance without success. I contacted Microsoft support over ten days ago and received a ticket, with the assurance that someone would contact me within 24 hours. No one has reached out to me—not in 24 hours, and not in the ten days since. I attempted to escalate the issue, but even then, no meaningful support was provided. This level of customer service is unacceptable for any business solution, especially one that organizations rely on for critical operations. It is unreasonable to expect customers to run their businesses effectively without access to timely and competent support. At this point, I am requesting a refund for the service that has not been delivered, and I strongly urge Microsoft to address the shortcomings in its support system. The support I received from GoDaddy in the past was significantly better. I hope no other business has to experience this level of frustration, and I sincerely urge Microsoft to acknowledge and fix these issues.527Views2likes3CommentsTrouble Setting Up Computer
Here's my dilemma: I'm setting up a new computer. Updates download and install just fine. I'm clicking through the pages, country, keyboard, etc. I get to to the one that wants you to set up your Microsoft account. I enter my email, then request a code, then enter the code. I get a page saying that since I didn't use a password that I need to create a PIN. I click on the Create PIN button and get a page that just spins and spins and spins and spins. I get someone on the tech support chat. We do the whole hold-the-power-button-for-5-seconds thing. The setup starts over. This time I request a password after I enter my email. I get sent to the same page saying that since I didn't use a password I needed to create a PIN. I click on the Create PIN button and get the page that perpetually spins. It never goes to the page to create a PIN. I wait for a while, like minutes, like unusually long for a page to load. I the routine several more times. Same result. I create a new account, use a new email address, new password, same thing. Internet connection is stable. Same behavior on a different Internet connection. The Create PIN page is not working. Also, one should not be required to sign in or create an account to set up a computer. There is no way to skip it. Moreover, the program sends you to the "since you didn't enter a password" page whether you entered a password or not. Additionally, I already a PIN, I'm being asked to create things that should already be associated with my account, it found my email and password, why not my PIN? I'm just trying to set up this Lenovo. Thoughts?227Views0likes1CommentInterface Views in Microsoft 365 Admin Center
