WinFix Toolkit (All Windows 10 & 11 Repair Tools in One Excel)
After I published this small information tool (Excel (365 & 2016) with network information), several people contacted me and asked if I had a tool with Excel for general service tasks that, while available in Windows, are a bit scattered and confusing. So, I've prepared this small tool for Service Level 1, with most of the service options included. Hardware Repair Tools Repair Action Label Description Reset Windows Update Components UpdateReset Stops related services, renames cache folders, restarts services. Check System File Integrity (sfc /scannow) SFC Scans and repairs corrupted system files. Check Disk for Errors (chkdsk /f /r) CHKDSK Scans hard drive sectors and attempts repair. DISM Health Restore (dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth) DISM Repairs Windows image and component store. Network Reset (netsh int ip reset, netsh winsock reset) NetReset Resets TCP/IP and Winsock catalog. Flush DNS Cache (ipconfig /flushdns) DNSFlush Clears DNS resolver cache. Device Manager (open) DevMgr Opens Device Manager for hardware inspection. Software Repair Tools (examples) Repair Action Label Description Microsoft Office Quick Repair OfficeRepair Launches Office repair tool (Quick or Online). Reset Microsoft Store StoreReset Runs wsreset.exe to reset Store cache. Repair OneDrive OneDriveReset Resets OneDrive client (onedrive.exe /reset). Windows Defender Full Scan DefenderScan Triggers Windows Defender antivirus scan. Reset Windows Firewall FirewallReset Restores default firewall rules. Reset Windows Search Index SearchReset Rebuilds Windows search index. Clear Temp Files TempClean Deletes temporary files and folders. Reinstall UWP Apps (if broken) AppsReinstall Re-registers all built-in Store apps. I hope it might be helpful to some people. The tool has been tested, but it could still use some improvements, so I'd like to ask everyone who has looked at or used this tool for feedback. I would appreciate any constructive feedback or additional suggestions. Happy Excel-ing! *My tool are voluntary and without guarantee! Templates are time-savers. Instead of recreating the same document, spreadsheet, or presentation layout every time, you can design it once and reuse it whenever you need. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint all support custom templates, helping you streamline your work and keep your materials consistent. In this post, we’ll walk through how to create and save reusable templates in each application. https://dellenny.com/how-to-create-reusable-templates-in-word-excel-and-powerpoint/14Views0likes0CommentsBeginner’s Guide to Microsoft Teams: Chat, Meetings, and Channels

In today’s fast-paced digital workplace, efficiency is everything. Whether you’re crunching numbers in Excel, drafting a report in Word, analyzing emails in Outlook, or delivering a presentation in PowerPoint, every second counts. That’s where keyboard shortcuts come in. Instead of reaching for your mouse, memorizing a few key combinations can help you navigate Microsoft 365 with ease. Here’s a breakdown of the most useful keyboard shortcuts across the suite. https://dellenny.com/mastering-keyboard-shortcuts-across-the-microsoft-365-suite/14Views0likes0CommentsMoving from Office 2016/2019 to Microsoft 365: What Changes?
Microsoft’s cloud-era strategy has made Microsoft 365 more than just “Office in the cloud” — it introduces a shift in licensing, update cadence, collaborative features, and more. Below are the key differences you’ll notice, the benefits, and also possible trade-offs to consider. https://dellenny.com/moving-from-office-2016-2019-to-microsoft-365-what-changes/8Views0likes0CommentsData validation based on value in a cell
Good afternoon, If anyone could help, this would be great. I'm trying to build an Excel in which I can pick a brand in a cell based on data validation, than in another cell I would like to pick a series based on a reduced data validation. And so on with Typenummers. So ideally, I would like to pick a Merk (for this example Lekker), then pick a Serie from a drop down that only shows XL and S (for this example S), and that select a Typenummers from a drop down that only shows 753 and 159. Any advice is welcome, thanks! Reinier - The Netherlands53Views0likes1CommentInquiry Regarding Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Subscription Renewal
Dear Microsoft Support, I hope this message finds you well. I am a developer currently enrolled in the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Subscription program. Recently, I noticed that my subscription has not been automatically renewed, and I am unsure why this has occurred. Could you please clarify whether the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer plan is still available? If it is, I would appreciate your assistance in investigating why my subscription was not renewed and guidance on how to resolve this issue. Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response.41Views0likes1CommentTab is not visible for single member in shared channel
Hello everyone, Another day, another M365 mystery. I have a client who added a website tab to a shared channel that is linked to a Planner plan. Technically, this “plan” isn’t a standard plan, as it was created via a Loop component in the channel conversation. Very confusing, I know. So far, so good—this tab is visible to all members of the shared channel except one person. I’ve checked, and everyone has the same licenses. Any ideas on how to solve this mystery? Best regards, Hisham5Views0likes0CommentsExtract user access to Cloud Apps categories.
I’m having some issues with getting report data out of Defender for Cloud App. Short version is I want to get a report (or at the very least an export) of all users accessing sites in the Generative AI category. I can do this manually by following these steps: Open Cloud Discovery Click Discovered apps Enter Gnerative AI in the browser by category I now get a list of discovered sites but to get a list of users who have accessed them I have to: Click each app one at a time In each click Cloud app usage Click Users And finally export all users Imagine how long with would take for a category that has a high amount of usage and how inefficient this would be to provide monthly reporting. I tried to find a way to see in one step user activity for one Cloud App category, but I cannot. Any idea?14Views0likes1CommentMaximum number of arrays to use with SUMIFS
Hi, I have a situation where I need to sum a column where it would be ideal if SUMIFS could use three (or more) arrays in M365. The following sample SUMIFS nested in a sum statement works fine, but I'd like to add a third column/array after {"D";"E"}. Can anyone tell me if this can be done or should I just use multiple SUMIFS formulas without arrays. I've tried researching this and the closest answer is to use the semi-colon in the second array. However, I'm unable to find information about adding a third array. =SUM(SUMIFS(DATA[Eligibility], DATA[Location], {"A","B"}, DATA[SchoolType], {"D";"E"})) Appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.49Views0likes1CommentPractical Graph: Analyzing External Meeting Participants for Teams Meetings
A reader asked if it's possible to analyze the external meeting participants for Teams online events. The information is available through the Events Graph API, and some PowerShell code written using the Graph PowerShell SDK quickly extracts events to analyze and determine the set of external domains meeting participants come from. https://practical365.com/external-meeting-participants-analysis/11Views0likes0CommentsM365 Copilot Android Application Not Working
I am using a Samsung S24 FE phone, and the Microsoft Copilot app is not working. When I open the app, I only see a black screen. I cannot open any menus. I cannot create or search for anything. There is only an empty home screen with dead buttons. I cannot sign out of my current account, nor can I figure out which account I am signed into (it logs in automatically). Here’s what I have already tried, but the issue persists: Enabled all permissions in the app settings. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Cleared the app cache and reopened it. Cleared the app data and reopened it.40Views0likes1CommentExcel Code trying to copy cell data from one sheet to another based on 2 criteria
Sheet "My Plan" Sheet "Tracker" I have several plans in external files that I have code for to select and import 1 to sheet "My Plan". I am using cell E6 as a named cell called PlanName and I select the name of the plan from a dropdown. Column D which is "Unique ID" Column I which is "Baseline Date" Column L which is "% Complete" Sheet "Tracker" is a Table called "Table1" I am looking for code (which I will activate by a button) which will look on sheet "Tracker" column Name "Workstream / Project" and if it doesn't match "PlanName" then go to the next row. If it matches then it needs to compare from sheet "My Plan" column D with sheet "Tracker" field "Plan Unique ID". If they are the same it needs to copy sheet "My Plan" column I and L to sheet "Tracker" fields "Baseline Due Date" and "Percentage Complete %". Great if you can help96Views0likes5CommentsGuest accounts and groupchats
Hello everyone, I recently received a support request regarding adding a person with a guest account to a group chat. Unfortunately, Teams refused to add that account. Copilot explained that this is due to the restrictions guest accounts have when it comes to communicating within the tenant they are invited to. Apparently—and this is what I’d love for you to verify—guests are only able to communicate within channels (e.g., threads in a channel) and in 1:1 chats. After we deleted the guest account, we were able to add that person to the group chat. Are the following informations correct? Guest user in tenant: Added as a guest in your tenant’s Azure Active Directory Access: Teams channels, files, meetings Restriction: No regular group chats outside of Teams channels External user (federation): Remains in their own tenant, connected to yours through federation Access: Chats and calls like regular Teams users Advantage: Can be added to regular group chats Thank you for your help. Hello Community, I need some help with an issue I’m facing. I am currently using the second account license for my Microsoft 365 apps, but I’d like to switch back to the first account. I have tried using the “Switch License” option under the second account, but it hasn’t worked. I would appreciate any alternative steps or solutions you can suggest. Good morning, I’m using Office 365 (Office 2019 at home). I wanted to ask if it’s possible in Word to create captions for images, including sub-captions, with all the corresponding indexes reflecting the hierarchy. I mean something similar to the photo below.17Views0likes0CommentsProfile photo component adds unwanted overlay
Component https://myaccount.microsoft.com Run command: ms-settings:yourinfo Environment Profile picture uploaded through https://myaccount.microsoft.com Profile picture uploaded through Run command (WIN+R): ms-settings:yourinfo Retrieved via Microsoft Graph SDK / Graph REST API endpoint /v1.0/me/photos/$value Steps to Reproduce Go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com. Upload a new profile picture (no presence, badge, or branding requested). Retrieve the profile picture using Microsoft Graph endpoint: GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/photos/$value Render the image in the client application. Expected Result The raw profile photo is shown exactly as stored—no overlays, rings, badges, or branding. Actual Result The component renders an overlay (e.g., presence badge/ring/branding) on top of the photo, altering the image. Impact Users see altered profile photos, leading to inconsistencies with expectations. Breaks brand/UX design guidelines that rely on unmodified profile images. Severity Medium–High (affects identity consistency across apps using Graph). Notes This happens even though no overlay option was requested in either the upload or retrieval flow. Alternative: Steps to Reproduce and working as expected Run command (WIN+R): ms-settings:yourinfo Upload a new profile picture (no presence, badge, or branding requested). Retrieve the profile picture using Microsoft Graph endpoint: GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/photos/$value Render the image in the client application.
