What is the best PDF editing software for beginners on Windows 11?
Hi everyone, I recently switched to Windows 11 and now I need a simple PDF editor for everyday use. Most of the time I just want to edit text in PDFs, add signatures, fill out forms, combine files, and maybe convert PDFs to Word occasionally. I tried a couple of free PDF editing software already, but some were too complicated or kept adding watermarks to the files. I'm looking for something beginner-friendly that works smoothly on Windows 11 and doesn't require a huge learning curve. Free or paid suggestions are both welcome. What is the best pdf editing software for Windows would you recommend for someone who is not very technical?
Trying to MSIX package LOB application that needs TWAIN access
So I think this isn't possible but I just wanted to ask. I've a LOB application that needs to access TWAIN scanning devices. How this works in a normal environment is that the TWAINDSM.dll (TWAIN Data source manager) is loaded from c:\windows\system32 This then scans the C:\Windows\twain_32 or C:\Windows\twain_64 depending on if the app is x86 or x64 The scanning manufacturers will have their TWAIN drivers installed to c:\windows\twain_32 (or 64) as subfolders and the TWAIN Data source manager scans these subfolders for available TWAIN devices that can be connected to. All this breaks down in an MSIX environment because the container doesn't have access to C:\windows\twain_32\ManfactureDriverN folder It can see the folders and when the TWAINDSM tries to initialize the driver it fails, most likely due to sandbox limitations. Does anyone know of a solution to this, or apps like this will always need to stick to MSI packaging because of this limiation. Good morning. I have been having an issue with location settings on my Microsoft account for Find my Device. I am using a Windows 11 Desktop. After a repair install of Windows my location in devices worked briefly. Now the account and devices links on my dashboard bring up a screen with empty gray boxes. When trying to switch to them from a working link I get this screen very quickly pop up: After 4 chats with Microsoft support a Supervisor came online and said that you could not find your PC with a Desktop, only a surface device. What? Then they said I should reach out to HP and then asked if I was all set. I have never had someone with no idea what to do next just make something up and ask if they can go.After opening Xbox Game Bar, the performance monitoring panel does not display any data
After pressing Win + G to open the Xbox Game Bar, the performance monitoring widget shows that it cannot retrieve performance data. I tried restarting the Game Bar, updating my graphics card drivers, and turning the background recording feature off and on again, but none of these solutions worked.
Digital Wellness and productivity
Microsoft should make a native app with fluent style to help users watch their screen/app time. In 2026 there hasn't been an app that's free, solid and that feels native in Windows 11, because there aren't any API for that. Apps like Activity Watch for some reason don't work in my PC and apps like SolidTime are paid and not really fluent. Naturally, something like this should be made by Microsoft itself. Android has it since the beginning, why Windows doesn't have it yet?
Six Sigma promotions won't go away.
Hi, and know that I'm Microsoft experienced but not a coder or programmer. I found a Six Sigma attachment to my online academic course, and the institution claims it isn't on their screens, and isn't approved nor endorsed by them. Now the promotions are flooding my MSN feed. I tried the steps on your and various other outlets with no luck. How do I stop it? I'm not a Six Sigma practitioner nor a supporter. How did they get into my system, and how to I expell them?How to exit Win11 Insider Preview Build 26220?
I accidentally joined the Windows Insider Program and opted out in Settings, but I'm not sure if it worked. My desktop still shows the watermark: "Windows 11 Home Insider Preview Evaluation Copy. Build 26220.8764". My question: Will my system automatically become the official release after the evaluation expires? If not, how can I return to the official version without losing personal files? Do I have to clean install? If I stay on this build, will I ever receive official cumulative updates again (like future 26H1 updates)? I'd really appreciate any professional advice. What is the best audio recorder software for PC and Mac?
Hello to all experts in techcommunity! I'm having a problem with recording audio on my computer (I have a Windows 11 PC and Mac) and would appreciate your help and guidance. I need to do audio recording on my computer because I'm producing a personal podcaster. However, I'm not very familiar with this area and I've tried some methods before, but the results are always unsatisfactory, so I'm here to ask for your help. I would like to know what is the best audio recorder for PC and Mac. It would be good to talk in detail about the whole process from the pre-preparation (such as what audio recording software and hardware devices are needed) to the actual recording process. Please share the parameters to achieve the best sound quality and avoid common problems like noise, popping, etc.) After recording, I've noticed that there's always some unwanted noise or occasional pops in the audio. I've heard that I can fix these problems with some post-processing, but how exactly do I do this? Thanks
Leaving Windows Insider Program
I wanted to leave the insider program since 25H2 is already out but after clicking "Leave the program now", my account still says the following (check screenshots). How do I fully remove this without reinstalling Windows 11 all over again. Is it possible to permanently remove or disable the Logitech LampArray Service from Windows 11? Based on some light reading of reddit, it seems to be associated with Microsoft's Dynamic Lighting features, and so I think it keeps getting readded or reenabled after Windows 11 updates, even after I stop the service, and set it's Startup Type to Disabled. Whenever the service is running, Logitech keyboard backlighting stops working.
WDS: PXE-Boot a client with CA2023 certificate and CA2011 revoked
Hi Microsoft, we try to PXE-Boot Notebooks that have SecureBoot enabled and have the CA2023 certificates. Furthermore the Clients have CA2011 Certificates revoked. Our Environment / Setup: WDS-Server: Fresh installed Windows Server 2025 (24H2) with latest cumulative Update (2026-05). WDS-Serverrole enabled. WDS configured and boot-image attached When booting a client with SecureBoot disabled, booting works. But when SecureBoot is enabled we get the shown message: When having a look at the files in the WDS Folder c:\RemoteInstall\boot\x64 I can see that there are still the EFi-Files signed with the old 2011 CA... So it is necessary to have EFI-Files (especially for WDS!) which are signed with CA 2023. I already tried to use wdsmgfw.efi and bootmgfw.efi Files from a winpe.wim from a Win 11 ADK 2025, but then I get errors like "0xc0000704". Disabling SecureBoot works, but is just a workaround. We need a fix for that Issue....Which method is better for resetting a Windows 11 computer?
Is there a difference in the actual results between performing a system reset via Settings → System → Recovery → Reset this PC and entering the recovery environment by pressing Shift+Restart, then selecting Troubleshoot → Reset this PC?
