How to delete contacts on iPhone in bulk?
I am trying to find a way to delete multiple contacts at once on my iPhone because manually removing each contact one by one is very time-consuming and inconvenient. I want to know if there are any built-in features, settings, or reliable third-party apps that can help me quickly select and delete several contacts simultaneously without the hassle of deleting them individually. Additionally, I am looking for a straightforward, safe, and efficient method to perform bulk deletion so that I can manage my contacts more easily and keep my contact list organized without spending too much time on the process.30Views0likes6CommentsCan I remove the Cloud Storage and Microsoft 365 tiles from Settings in Windows 10?
While remaining logged in, is it possible to remove the ‘Cloud Storage/OneDrive’ and ‘Get the most out of Microsoft 365’ tiles from the ‘Settings’ home screen in Windows 10 Pro? Is it necessary to use a local account? In 2025, it will be possible to remove these tiles via PowerShell, but is it still possible to do so now?29Views0likes3CommentsWindows freezes when I first open or click on anything after startup
I have a laptop with Windows 11 on it. Haven't had any issues for a while, but in the last couple of months it will freeze sometimes. I boot up the laptop and log in to Windows. When I go to open an app or click anything really, the screen will sometimes freeze or go black. I have the spinning circle cursor sometimes but I am unable to do anything. I let it sit for a while and nothing changed. I reboot and sometimes have to go through a few reboots before it no longer freezes. I double-checked and Windows is up to date. I didn't install anything new shortly before the issue started happening. I tried doing a repair and got a message that it ran into a problem and couldn't be repaired. Anyone else have this issue and/or suggestions on what I should check?34Views0likes1CommentBitlocker 851 the system cannot find the path specified
Hi everyone, We are trying to migrate computers from domain joined to INTUNE. Every time we disjoin a computer the BitLocker has a problem suspending or even disabling and re-enabling. What we found is an error 851 the system cannot find the file specified. When we rejoin to The domain and enable BitLocker the error does not happen and BitLocker is enabled successfully. We also use a pin with the boot up. I tried searching the issue and attempted the repairs suggested with no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm making a Windows CDG and video player app and it's far along enough that I thought it was worth sharing a preview. In a few weeks I will do a more formal "PLEASE LOOK AT ME" post with Virus-Total info and download links and all that jazz. The design goal was to make something similar to good old Karafun v2, but I wanted better visualizers and improved UX for things like large library support and queue management. **Everything you see labeled here works now.** There are more things I want to do before I release this, but it's already displaced Karafun v2 in my house. In a future version I plan to add an online songbook request system, so there will be a KJ inbox tab from which you can queue songs. I already have that working as a totally separate project and I think the combined product will be pretty neat. I'm also doing what I can to support multiple venues and other things that may be of interest to pro KJs... You may have seen some of my KJ questions here. If just a couple of people find this thing useful, well, cool. I've benefited a lot from free software so it will be nice to pay it back, even a little. (This app *will* be free, but once I get the online request features done in some future release, you will need to have a Google account so you can use the free tier of Firebase, upon which it relies. You'd also benefit from having a domain name and a free Cloudflare account.) I'll share more news when I have it. If you have any thoughts from the screen shots, please share!25Views0likes1CommentUEFI -- No bootable device found
I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-21-4808 laptop with Windows 10 (64-bit) version 22H2 that gave up the ghost about 1½ weeks ago. As it is, what I consider, my backup laptop I decided to resuscitate it back to life. But I wasn't going to break the bank on it. I ordered a new battery and a new 1 Tb HDD. So, before people suggest that I could have upgraded to a SSD drive I didn't want a complicated laptop resuscitation, that's why I went the HDD route. Now to get to the problem. When I tried to install Windows 10 on the UEFI firmware I get a "No bootable device found." But when I changed the firmware to "Legacy" I had no problems installing Windows 10. Can someone explain to me what is going on and if it's possible to get my laptop back to UEFI?9Views0likes1CommentHow to send photos from iPhone to computer directly with USB or WiFi?
I'm having trouble finding a seamless way to send photos from iPhone to computer directly, whether it's using a USB connection or wirelessly via Wi-Fi. I'd like to be able to access my iPhone's photos library on my computer and send files without the need for cables or complex software setup, ideally with a simple and efficient process that doesn't require much technical expertise. I need clear, step-by-step instructions on how to do this on both iPhone and Windows computers.63Views0likes7CommentsUSB drive not visible in file explorer
I have a new laptop which runs on windows 11, when I put a USB stick in, it makes the usual "ding" but it does nothing and is not visible in file explorer. I have done a bit of googling and as a result have looked at the disk management system and it is there. It has been suggested that I assign the drive letter, but that option is greyed out.Solved54KViews0likes13CommentsWhatsApp Windows app: No way to sync to phone, no way to backup chats
Windows 11 v. 25H2 When I installed the Windows WhatsApp app, I linked it to my phone. 99% of my messages are on the Microsoft App, not on my phone. There seems to be no way to link them, or to backup. The two devices are not connected, and there is no way to sync them. According to AI, they are likely running separately, on separate programs --- one on the phone, and one on the Windows App None of my backups are saved anywhere on Windows. AI had me look in several places, and they just aren't there. There seems to now be no way to update the app or backup what is there without forwarding it chat by chat to myself, but even then, it can't be restored. Is there something AI missed? Is there any way to fix this without losing all of my chats? My son lives in Europe and all of our chats are on the Windows WhatsApp app.24Views0likes2CommentsThinkstation P310 SFF operating system missing after KB5083769 update
I was wondering if anybody had the same problem after installing. The computer has a Western Digital NVme drive. After restarting the computer the system would post with the message: Error 1962: No operating system found. Boot sequence will automatically repeat. I accessed the bios and disabled the secure boot and reset the certificate, saved the settings, restarted, windows update finished and was able to get to the desktop. Are there any other instances happening out there? Or, is this a common thing happening?40Views0likes1CommentLink to windows does not allow removal of old devices
On Samsung my Samsung Phone, the Link to windows app display my laptop 3 times. One is active, the other two are inactive. I assume there are duplicates because of resetting that laptop to factory defaults a couple of times since I got it 5 years ago. The problem is I cannot remove the old ones. They show as disconnected. There is no option to remove them. I use the copy/paste function across devices (very useful), but every time I copy/paste and get irritating messages on the phone saying 'cannot copy to xxxxxx device' where that devices is the laptop the phone is connected to. It's saying it cannot copy to the device I'm actually connected to, but it's referrring to old definition of that device. I've tried many ways to remove these old versions of the devices. For the last attempt, I removed the current connection from the phone, completely removed it from the laptop, then on the phone I cleared the data and cache for the link to windows app, then successfully re-paired the device. The old versions if device came back too! I believe the information is store in my Microsoft Account, but it's not externalised. Additionally, in my list of devices where my Microsoft Account is in use, it doesn't show the either the laptop or the phone, just a desktop PC and an Xbox. There clearly needs to be some way to permanently remove the connected history, particularly when the laptop has been used before but was reset. I've seen this issue reported many times, but there seems to be no way to fix this problem.181Views0likes6CommentsSlow Printing HP Futuresmart 5.9.0.2
Hello everyone, I am testing Universal Print with an HP MFP running Futuresmart 5.9.0.2, and overall I find it quite interesting 😀 However, it is extremely difficult to get support from printer manufacturers, and there is very little feedback or shared experience available 😢 During my tests, I noticed internal processing delays (=DownloadTime–FinalTime) on the HP MFP that vary without any apparent Reason (printing PDF from W11/EDGE and content-type is Application/PDF). In addition, I observed significant differences in internal processing time for certain documents (such as plans) between Universal Print Cloud printing and direct TCP/IP 9100 printing. The delay increases from 2 minutes of processing to 3 minutes. I contacted HP support, but it is very complicated to get assistance regarding Universal Print. Do you have any insights? How should I proceed? Thank you in advance, and have a great day ☀️506Views0likes11CommentsCONNEXION BUG

Hi everyone, I’m facing a strange and persistent issue with Windows Defender notifications, and I’m hoping someone here may have encountered something similar. During routine system maintenance, I noticed that Windows Defender has completely stopped showing notifications — no scan completion alerts, no threat‑found pop‑ups, nothing at all. Troubleshooting I’ve Already Done To rule out corruption, configuration issues, or hardware‑related causes, I’ve carried out extensive testing across multiple clean installations: Reinstalled Windows using the Media Creation Tool → still no Defender notifications Reinstalled Windows again using Rufus → same result Reset BIOS / cleared CMOS Installed an older Windows 11 build (offline, before updates) → still no notifications Deleted all partitions on every reinstall (full clean install) Verified all Windows Defender notification settings, including Enhanced Notifications Checked Windows notification settings to ensure Windows Security is allowed Ran SFC Performed DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Confirmed no registry or Group Policy entries suppressing notifications Reinstalled Windows Defender components Scanned with third‑party tools and Microsoft MRT — no issues found Ensured Windows Push Notification System Service is running Despite all of this, Defender notifications never appear on any fresh installation. Microsoft Support I opened a support ticket with Microsoft. One engineer performed an in‑place repair install Another advised me to post the issue here for deeper investigation Ticket reference: 710148747 Additional Technical Findings 1. Notifications are not being suppressed No GPOs applied No Intune configuration profiles No registry entries modifying notification behaviour Local notification settings fully enabled Defender notifications fully enabled It’s not a profile corruption It’s not a user hive issue It’s not a local DB issue It’s OS‑level 2. Windows Notification Platform (WNP) appears to be the root cause Across multiple clean installs: ShellExperienceHost exists on disk. Focus Assist toggle produces no toast (not sure it does) other apps like mail, Logitech, steam can toast notification, i don't see defender toasting any scan notification. WNP is partially working Defender is partially registering The scan‑completion channel is failing specifically This behaviour is consistent and reproducible. 3. Defender functionality validated using EICAR I manually created the EICAR test file and ran a scan: Defender detects and removes the file correctly Detection appears in Protection History A threat notification appears Scan completion notifications do NOT appear This confirms: Defender itself is functioning The notification delivery layer (WNP) is not working question at MS QA- https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5864084/windows-defender-notifications-not-working-even-af72Views0likes1Comment
