After some months with Windows 11 Pro I am at my wits end with it. Nothing but trouble and problems. The main issue I have is that unlike all my other PCs the Windows 11 Pro box refused to display the other devices on the home network so that I can map to the drives and folders that are shared. All except my old Server that seems to pop up, but that is NOT good enough when I want to pass files direct between machines as I've always done. I am tired of trying to fathom the acronym ridden spoutings about the KB5065426 Windows update that was issued in September 2025 which stills seems to be the primary reason given for the rubbish performance of Windows 11 file sharing. Is this still really the case are MS so bad that they can't be bothered to fix the issue in a way that is comprehendible to the average user? Already their Midi devices update that was dumped on people in March wrought havoc with many InMusic devices, what with this and the mess of the start menu and trying to find things, noting the latest update screwed that even further, is making me think that Windows 11 should be binned and revert to Windows 10 as the new stuff is too much hassle. Any ideas that can do better than the many incomprehendible posts about SMB and more as hack to fudge the system would be gratefully received.58Views2likes5CommentsHow do I completely uninstall microsoft edge in windows 11?
Hi, The Microsoft Edge browser has been consuming a lot of CPU and RAM on my Windows 11 computer lately, even when only a few tabs are open. It's starting to slow things down, especially during multitasking, and the built-in browser keeps running in the background. Tried removing it through windows 11 settings and control panel, but the uninstall option is greyed out for system app like edge. Is there a reliable way to completely uninstall microsoft edge browser from Windows 11, or at least stop it from running and using resources?27KViews0likes12CommentsSearch in clipboard manager tabs?
Someone check me on this, maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. I use the Clipboard Manager (WIndowsKey + V) regularly , not for clipboard history but for selecting emojis and GIFs. Today I noticed that when I switch to the emoji or GIF tab, I can no longer search for potential emojis/GIFs. Like I used to be able to type "thumb" in the search bar and it would show me emjois featuring a thumb. Has this changed? Any possibility of getting it back??? Did they move it? Can I search another way?41Views1like3CommentsWhy did my laptop suddenly become extremely sluggish and almost unusable?
My laptop has suddenly become extremely sluggish and almost unusable, with programs taking minutes to open, constant freezing, and high disk or CPU usage even when idle, and this started happening out of nowhere without any new software installations or hardware changes. Could someone help me diagnose the root cause by suggesting which system logs to check, what background processes might be misbehaving, or whether this could be a sign of failing storage, overheating, or malware, and what steps I can take to restore normal performance without reinstalling Windows?12Views0likes0Comments¿Cómo se puede grabar pantalla en el Mac?
I update my Bios on Windows 11?
I am trying to decide whether I should update my BIOS on my Windows 11 system, as I have heard that BIOS updates can improve hardware compatibility and fix security issues, but I am also worried about the risks of bricking my motherboard or causing system instability if the update fails. Could someone advise me on how to check my current BIOS version, determine if an update is actually necessary for my specific hardware, and what precautions I should take before attempting the update to avoid any permanent damage?14Views0likes0CommentsI am looking for help.....on Windows 11
Hello everyone, I have a newly assembled computer running Windows 11. I have previously installed Revision on two other computers and they both worked fine. However, when running on this new computer, when I execute the "revi playbook playbook playbook" command, this error occurs. Could you please advise me on how to solve this problem?17Views0likes1CommentCan't disable automatic updates - causes severe productivity issues
I've tried everything I can find to disable auto updates and they keep showing back up. Despite setting updates to "Pause for 5 weeks" my machine did an update last night. My issue is I set processing jobs to run overnight and Windows kills them to do the updates. This morning I've lost about 10 hours of compute time because the job I started last night was killed in favor of a Windows update. So now I'm a day behind on that deliverable because of a Windows update. Can someone at Microsoft please figure out how to prevent this kind of productivity loss. It is entirely unnecessary. At a minimum, just throw up a dialog box that confirms the user's approval to start the update.30Views0likes2CommentsI still have windows 10. How do we feel about Windows 11?
Have been wondering if I should upgrade. I've seen a lot of posts about always on AI stuff after quickly searching. I hate AI and don't want it in my OS. Is there a way to get rid of it? Is Windows 11 as intrusive as I have read? Am I better off staying at 10? Initially it told me I wasn't eligible to upgrade but it now asks me every couple months.18Views0likes1Comment
