May 2026 KB5089549 make my system unbootable
Today, I have updated my HP Elite X2 G4 with May 2026 Tuesday update KB5089549 and several other updates. The update fail, when restarted, an error dialog read Thing does not go as expected, and it roll back my system. After restart, I attempt to update again and it fail with the same reason. So I proceed to manual update by downloading update from Mic4osoft Update Catalog. The update went fine until I restart my system. There is an error dialog stated that my system has a problem, windows 11 attempt to repair my system and fail. This make my system unbootable. Microsoft, Windows 11 is getting worst and worst. Updating is a real nightmare. It take forever and 5his time, may be it’s time for me to switch to Mac
How come all of a sudden all of my Earbuds and Headphones skip audio?
Hi, I like to use Earbuds when on my PC, (Windows 11 Pro) I never had this issue until about 2 weeks ago. I cannot use any Earbuds or Headphones because the audio skips so badly that I miss out on the majority of what is being said, I do not know what to do. I live chatted with a Microsoft rep who then connected to my PC and didn't know what to do. So, he restored an old backup - and that worked for 1 day. Then the next day I turned my PC on and boom it was back. Does anyone know what is happening or what I can do to resolve this? I play 1 game, and when I do it's just massive skips and it is incredibly annoying. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help on resolving this please. It has become unbearable. Please help! DESIGNER only mkes 1 design not 4
I use ms ai image designer to make images and i makew ai videos ,, but for a week now it only makes 1 image not 4,, and it doesnt follow the propsat as per usual,. and it makes images in 3:2 not 16:9. I rarely use Help, but Office 2019 is still relatively unexplored for me... so when I needed to do something I hadn't before, I clicked on the Help option. Imagine my surprise when I found that when they ended support in Oct 2025 they actually deleted the on-line Help data. Gone. The only Help you can get is help on how to upgrade to a newer version of Office. Wow. I've always preferred local Help files, but I can see the advantage to a company putting them on-line in terms of updates for changes, etc. However, I never expected that they'd kill it when they ended support. Not sure if I have forgotten to set something or if I have not set something right but looking at some Windows 11 devices we have, I can see via Control Panel power settings that the monitor is set to go to sleep after 25 minutes but I wonder if this only applies when left open on desktop because from lock screen, monitors are going blank after a minute or so. It doesn't look like the devices (Intel NUCs) are going to sleep themselves because the power light is still a solid blue, mouse laser still on etc. but sometimes users cannot wake the devices up through mouse, keyboard or power button input and end up restarting from the plug. Have not tested but will try to see if being connected to projector\SMART board makes any difference.PC keeps waking up immediately after going to sleep
My PC has started acting weirdly lately where it wakes up immediately after it goes to sleep (I've set it to go to sleep after 10 minutes). What's weird though, is that if I manually set it to sleep (via the Start menu) it stays asleep. But if it goes to sleep itself, after it's 10 minute setting, it wakes up immediately. I'm using the Logitech MX Keys S and the MX Master 3S. If I switch them off, the PC will stay asleep. But if I leave them on, the PC will wake up immediately, unless I put it to sleep manually, where it will stay asleep, even with the keyboard and mouse switched on. I know that I can disable USB power on, but I don't want to as I like being able to wake the PC up using either the keyboard and mouse. Any ideas? My iPhone photo library is now a full mess after years of camera photos, screenshots and shared images. The storage space is almost full, and many photos look like exact duplicates or very similar copies. The challenge is that checking thousands of photos one by one on the iPhone takes too much time. I plan to scan the DCIM folder after connecting the iPhone to my Windows 11 PC so I can quickly find and delete duplicate photos on iPhone. Is this possible? This has been a problem for several years with Windows explorer. If you work decently fast editing a file name, either by clicking on it or pressing F2, and then start typing immediately, Explorer automatically selects the whole name after about a second. This is really annoying since it removes the entire name if you're typing when this happens.Why was the upgrade to 26100.8457 so massive? Time to downlod a new ISO?
On my Lenovo T16s Gen 6 AMD laptop, the install to shutdown process took almost an hour. And when I restarted my system today, there seemed to be more updating and several minutes, much longer than normal, just to get to the login screen.OneDrive shows how much Microsoft hates its users.
In File Explorer OneDrive looks like its own folder separate from your documents, desktop and picture folders. I have the OneDrive app uninstalled. I delete the OneDrive folder the other day because it seemed useless for me and this deleted every document and picture I had saved on my computer. Just completely deleted them, they're not even in the recycling bin. Whoever designed this should blue screen irl.
