Prevent list form
I have a list with 10 columns. I created a custom view to share this same list with some partners, but they only can see 6 columns. The problem is, I what that guests can only view the list, I dont want then to open the form. The list is already guest only, so, they cant edit the form. The problem is, even they cant edit the form, they can see the data of the other 4 columns on the form. Is there a way to prevent a guest to open the form of a list on the sharepoint? Hi everyone, I have a SharePoint List that gets updated daily. I have 25000-30000 items that get completely deleted every night and then created again with new values and content. So every new item gets a new list ID. I'm a little bit worried because, even though SharePoint lists can store up to 30 Million items, what happens when the unique ID assigned to each item gets "overflowed"? For example, right now the last item's ID is 480368, and as I said before I create 30000 new items every single day , so doing a simple math it would take 1000 days to reach an ID number of 30000000 (if that's possible, I don't even know). What happens when the ID reaches a limit? Would it break the list? Will I be able to keep creating new items? Just to make it completely clear: the list will never reach the 30 million limit. It will always stay on 25000-30000 items. But I'm scared that the ID will break this process in less than 3 years. Thanks for your help!1.4KViews2likes3CommentsMigrating file shares over 100GB to SharePoint Online
We currently have several file shares on an on-premises Windows server, with some shares exceeding 100GB. We intend to migrate these files to SharePoint Online. However, I have been informed that it is not possible to migrate over 100GB to a single SharePoint site. Could someone confirm if this limitation is accurate? Additionally, if this is indeed the case, are there alternative methods for migrating these shares without having to split them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.839Views1like3CommentsDifficulty loading Teams Channels folders in SharePoint
During the last week, I've had users struggle to access Teams channel folders from SharePoint for web. They can navigate into the Document library, but when they click on the Teams channel folder, it hangs and fails to load. Currently, they are using a workaround to access the Teams channel directly and click 'open in SharePoint.' I've also had issues with the files tab in the same Teams channels loading. I get an error message that the page could not be loaded.31Views0likes2CommentsStock images -- insert or change not working
We are a GCC cloud client. Starting Tuesday, we are no longer able to add images or change images while accessing from the Stock Images option. When we click stock images, the app sits and spins and then throws an error "Your search didn't match any content. Please try another term". Does matter what the term is, it doesn't resolve. Prior to this, when clicking stock images, the window would open with images where we could then filter, etc. Now nothing will show not matter what. I am a SharePoint admin, we have also tried with Site owners and on different browsers with cache cleared. We did submit a ticket with MS, but response has been slow. Anyone else experiencing this?8Views0likes0CommentsVAPT issue raised for CKEditor 4.13.0 Cross-Site Scripting

We are facing 2 issues, but i suspect its related. OS is server 2025. Patches are current. We applied the sharepoint upgrade: KB5002784 yesterday. At that time we discovered psconfig failed to complete. Initially it was due to a problem with the sharepoint admin service. Of note it would not start. I found this to be a problem with windows exploit protection. Exempting the exe associated with the admin service fixed this and the service now starts. PSconfig still fails, its failing at the spcopysidebyside step. of note the sidebyside log that the error references is never created. additionally running the spcopysidebyside powershell script, and specifiying a log file location also results in no log being created. i suspect this may be another windows exploit protection exemption that needs to be created. at this time im not sure what one is required, nor how this is not effecting all installs vs just ours.5Views0likes0CommentsUse a drop down in one list connected to another list selecting employee contained in the list
I would like to create 2 lists in SharePoint. The first list would be a list of all the active people being recruited and the second list would be related to a task list that needed to be accomplished to hire that person or steps that have to be taken. The second list would point to the active people being recruited and allow me to select the person that I want to create a task list for. Esentially I want there to be a join between these lists so that way if I Ever need to interact with the files. I cannot enter a unique ID or an employee ID as they are not yet hired and I cannot rely on the people spelling the persons name correct or exactly the same. I just want to make sure there is a Join between those 2 lists some how. Maybe there are better ideas to do this. Thank you.Solved8KViews0likes2CommentsFormatted view - hideColumnHeader not working in list webpart

Given: A SharePoint List (SPL) called Contractors with the following columns: ContractorID // Display name of the default ID column ContractorName Another SPL called Reports with the following columns: ReportID // Display name of the default ID column ReportNumber // Calculated column Contractor_ID // Lookup column referring to the ContractorID column of the Contractors SPL The calculated column, ReportNumber, would have a formula similar to: = [ReportID] & "-" & Contractor_ID Question: Does SharePoint Lists support the use of a Lookup column in the formula of a calculated column? If so, I need help on the proper syntax for the formula. (The formula above is not working) Thanks in Advance84KViews1like9CommentsSP 2019 On-Premise | Apply template to document library | Issue
Hello, I'm using SharePoint 2019 Server On-Premise. Task 1: Create a template of an existing document library. Task 2: Apply the newly created template to a new document library. Task 1 was successful but I'm failing to succeed with Task 2. I simply do not find the option to use an existing template. For clarification, I do not want to use a document template but a template for the document library, so the columns are copied to the new document library including the column formatting. I would appreciate pointers. Thank you and all the best, VarDumped172Views1like1CommentHow to perform Windows Update for Exchange 2016 DAG Cluster

Hi all, I am facing an issue when trying to apply a sensitivity label to a PDF file stored in SharePoint. The error message I get is: Error: Sensitivity label cannot be applied at this time due to the nature of file's encryption. However, I can open the PDF file normally, and it does not seem to be password-protected in any way. Has anyone encountered this before? Is there a way to apply a sensitivity label to such files? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.18Views0likes0CommentsIssue with flat views in SharePoint Online
I use folders within a SharePoint list to organize list items. Additionally, I apply column formatting to update values in a column via button click using customRowAction (setValue). So far, so good... However, when I switch to a flat view (View without folders), this functionality no longer works, and error messages appear. This Error occures for example if I click on any displayed button. This issue occurs exclusively in the flat view and only affects items stored within folders. Additionally, there is another issue when using the Quick Edit feature to set a date field in the flat view. For items located inside a folder, the localization is incorrect. For example, if I select April 1st, SharePoint instead saves January 4th (German Localization). For items located outside a folder or when using a non-flat view, everything appears to function correctly. The attached video provides a demonstration of the issue.350Views13likes4CommentsTopicHeader (Text Above Title) Not Updating in SharePoint Online
Previously, I was updating the "OData_TopicHeader" property in Power Automate, and it correctly displayed as the Topic Header (text above the title) on the page. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is there an updated approach required to ensure the Topic Header displays correctly? Any insights would be appreciated.20Views0likes0CommentsTopicHeader (Text Above Title) Not Updating in SharePoint Online

I have a PPSX file which uses the kiosk mode, because I want the navigation to be through action buttons rather than just simply clicking on the slides. I want to put a link to it on a SharePoint site. Is there a way that I can force the PPTX or PPSX file to launch in slide show mode. I'm guessing you just need to add something onto the end of the hyperlink?130KViews5likes37CommentsExport SharePoint Calendar with All Events in Calendar View
I need to export my SharePoint calendar exactly as it appears in the Calendar view, including all events for each day, without collapsing into "+X more." Currently, SharePoint does not provide a built-in feature to export the calendar in its visual month/week layout. I am looking for a solution or workaround that allows me to: Export all events while preserving the calendar layout (month/week view). Ensure no events are hidden or collapsed. Use methods such as connecting the calendar to Outlook for export/print, Power Automate to generate a report, or other feasible options. My goal is to have a complete calendar view outside of SharePoint for reporting or sharing purposes.12Views0likes0CommentsSharePoint Calendar View Events Collapsing into “+X More” Instead of Displaying All
In the SharePoint calendar (Month view), when a specific date has more than two events, the system only displays the first two events in the day cell and collapses the remaining items into a "+X more" link. This limits visibility, as users must click to view additional events instead of seeing them directly in the calendar grid. We need a solution or customization to allow all events for a single day to be displayed within the calendar view without collapsing into +X more.19Views0likes0CommentsHiding custom buttons from SharePoint column
Scenario: I have created an Power Automate instant cloud flow, linked to a custom button on a SharePoint column. The purpose of this automation and button is to send customers a PDF certificate once they have completed their training. The automation and process is working great, but I would like to tidy up the various buttons I have created, so that only one button is visible. My question is....how can I remove the additional custom buttons from the rows in the SharePoint column circled in red below. I either want one button on one row of the column (highlighted yellow). Or to alternatively put the button up on the command bar instead. I know this can be done using custom views and JSON but I have been struggling to do this so far. Any guidance would be much appreciated.58Views0likes1Comment
