Issues with SharePoint Product Catalog (Classic)
Is it a known issue for search-based web parts (content search web part or search box, refiners and results) to be interfering with a page layout integrated with catalog item reuse snippets in SharePoint Online (classic)? Due to the limitation in creating a product catalog site in modern experience, we went down the path of creating a classic version of product catalog in SharePoint Online. For a year and a half, the product catalog has been working fine until recently while there were no new changes made to the page or the page layout. The page used to surface catalog item content based on the product tag in the URL (https://[tenantname].sharepoint.com/sites/products/overview.aspx?myproduct=apple) as well as search-based content. Upon investigating the issues, it appears that the catalog item reuse snippets on the page layout and the search-based web parts both are interfering with each other's. If we removed search-based web parts from the page, the catalog item content then surfaces. If the search-based web parts are re-added, the catalog item content then disappears. Has anyone experienced this issue?14Views0likes0CommentsCan PnP Provisioning preserve SharePoint List GUIDs across environments?
I am using PnP Framework 1.15.1 with the 2022/09 Provisioning Schema to provision SharePoint Online lists. After applying the provisioning template, I noticed that all newly created lists have different SPList.Id (GUID) values compared to the source site. My template contains standard pnp:ListInstance definitions, for example: <pnp:ListInstance Title="Event Types" TemplateType="100" Url="Lists/EventTypes" TemplateFeatureID="00bfea71-de22-43b2-a848-c05709900100"> ... </pnp:ListInstance> I checked the 2022/09 schema and I couldn't find any attribute to specify the list GUID. I also noticed that the provisioning engine registers ListIdToken using createdList.Id, which seems to happen after the list has already been created. My questions are: Is it expected that PnP Provisioning always creates new SharePoint List GUIDs? Is there any supported way to preserve the original SPList.Id during provisioning? Was this ever supported in previous versions of the PnP Provisioning schema or framework? Any official documentation or confirmation from the PnP team would be appreciated.10Views0likes0CommentsRecycle Bin and Site Content Hidden for Site Members and Site Visitors

Good afternoon. I have set myself a challenge and really could do with some help. I have a list of suppliers like below. I have expiry dates set up, with a colour formatting to show any date past the current date. On the end of the row, there is an email address of the company contact. I want SharePoint to automatically email that person as soon as it turns red/expires. What is the simplest way of doing this? I have looked at Flows etc, and online on video tutorials, but some of the guides are old and out of date or very complex and I am a novice. Is anyone kindly, can give me a step-by-step guide on how to do this, as this would be just awesome and finally bring my company into the 21st century! Thanks in advance.410Views1like11Commentsdefault time in the Date and Time column
Is there is possibility to change the default Time in the Date and Time column globally? Example: That is the default - 12 AM 00 is that possible to change that for anything? even 12PM:00? So all records under would get something different than 12 AM 00 by default?55Views0likes4CommentsAnyone having issues moving SharePoint web parts today?
I have received several reports this morning regarding issues with moving web parts in both communication sites and Teams sites. I was able to reproduce, but am unsure if this is an internal issue or some larger issue. When trying to move web parts instead of moving between sections or around the flexible section it simply highlights all text boxes in the vicinity. This also occurs when attempting to move web parts using the "move section" button in the properties bar. Anyone else experiencing this issue this morning?284Views2likes3CommentsHow to map permission of Dynamics 365 to SharePoint Online ?

Hello, I'm creating a sharepoint list of employees. I create quick actions for sending an employee a teams message or an email, and they work fine in list view. However, in gallery view they don't show up. The field title is displayed, but there's nothing inside, which I've highlighted with a red box. Is it possible to get the quick action buttons to appear in this view?Solved113Views0likes5CommentsUpcoming change: Retirement of noise suppression capability for ODSP video
We're writing to inform you of an upcoming change to video playback features in OneDrive and SharePoint. What's changing: Starting July 1, 2026, the noise suppression feature for video playback on OneDrive and SharePoint will be retired. This feature, which reduces background noise during video playback, will no longer be available in the web playback experience. Based on usage data and our ongoing effort to streamline the video experience on OneDrive and SharePoint, we've made the decision to deprecate this capability. Please share your feedback through Noise Suppression Feature Survey so we can continue to improve the video experience on OneDrive and SharePoint. What this means for your content: Your video content is not affected. No original files will be modified or re-encoded – this change only impacts the playback experience. Noise suppression will no longer be available as a playback toggle option when viewing videos stored on OneDrive or SharePoint. No changes to other video and audio playback features – including playback speed controls, captions, and transcripts – remain available and are unaffected by this change. What administrators need to know: No admin action is required. The noise suppression option will be removed automatically after the retirement date. There are no tenant-level settings to manage for this change. Alternative options: If noise suppression is important to your workflow, please consider these alternatives: Pre-process your audio using a dedicated noise removal tool before uploading to OneDrive or SharePoint. Record in a quieter environment or use a directional microphone to minimize background noise at the source. We value your feedback: We understand this change may affect some of your workflows, and we want to hear from you. Please share your feedback through Noise Suppression Feature Survey so we can continue to improve the video experience on OneDrive and SharePoint. All other video playback capabilities on OneDrive and SharePoint remain fully available. We're committed to continuing to invest in features that help you get the most out of your video content.1.2KViews0likes1CommentUsing meta data from a MS form created in SharePoint in Email

I am looking at setting site quotas across our tenancy, to control storage growth by prompting users to think about what they're uploading, and whether old files can be deleted. I set a low quota (1GB) on a test site, with "Allow notifications" checked, and a threshold set. I then stared copying files to the site. The site is currently shown to be at 87% of its quota in SP Admin centre, and above 98% according to the storage metrics, with the threshold set at 80%. If I go to Site Settings, I see a very narrow banner informing me that the site is out of storage space. This is not displayed anywhere else, though, I (as site owner and primary site admin) haven't received any email notifications, nothing is shown outside the settings pages - I can upload another file with no warning. It is now over 72 hours since I started the testing. If site owners need to go to a settings page to see a warning, it is unlikely to achieve the desired effect and will be disruptive to users when sites do unexpectedly run out of space. Is there something else we can (or need to) do to enable notifications to site owners?132Views0likes1CommentSharepoint list view issue/bug when setting 2x Group By column with View Style set to default

I am able to access internal Sharepoints within my company and have up until now been able to access Sharepoints outside the company. When I now try to access an external Sharepoint, I get the following message on the external company's landing page. "Your account has been locked. Contact your support person to unlock it, then try again...." The external company states they have not made changes any access protocols. Likewise, my company says nothing has changed with respect to the rules/ability to access external Sharepoints. Someone indicated that the Microsoft “federation” settings/setup of the two companies may (now) be incompatible. Has anyone encountered this issue?52Views0likes1CommentClarification on SharePoint Macro Consent Flow and Permissions
Hi Team, We have a customer using SharePoint in a secure environment. While configuring the Prolaborate SharePoint Macro on their site, a consent popup is displayed during the approval process. Previously, our macro implementation used the Admin Consent flow. Based on the customer’s security and approval requirements, we have modified the consent to use the User Consent flow instead. The customer has requested additional clarification regarding the consent process. Specifically, they would like to understand: The exact API calls triggered for these two consents View your basic profile Maintain access to data you have given it access to The permissions being requested from Microsoft Graph or SharePoint Whether the application requests any tenant-wide or high-privilege permissions Whether minimal permissions such as Sites.Selected can be used instead of broader scopes Current concern: The customer feels the current permission request is too broad for approval within their secure environment (Banking customer). Reason: Their internal approval process requires clear visibility into the exact API and permission scopes being requested, as different permissions are reviewed and approved by different internal teams (for example, User.Read is managed by the Identity team). From our implementation side, we are using only custom APIs and are not directly calling Microsoft Graph APIs. This information will help us provide a clear response to the customer and support their internal approval process.66Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft list item not loading and giving "Getting your data..." error

Hello Microsoft Community Support Team, I am currently taking an training course on Microsoft Power Platform, with a special focus on building chatbots using Microsoft Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents), Power Automate, and Power Apps. I wanted to set up a dedicated environment to practice the modules, configure cloud flows, and test the integrations. However, when I joined the Microsoft 365 Developer Program using my personal account, I encountered the following message: "Thank you for joining. You don't currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription." I do not intend to use this for commercial purposes; my sole objective is learning, studying the curriculum, and practicing developer scenarios for my training. Unfortunately, my university's IT administrator has disabled trial features on our student accounts, so creating my own developer sandbox is my only viable path to complete the practical exercises. Could you please assist me in manually reviewing my profile or enabling the M365 E5 developer sandbox subscription for my account so I can continue with my Power Platform learning journey? Thank you very much for your time and support. Best regards, Pablo55Views0likes1CommentClarification on SharePoint Macro Consent Flow and Permissions

Hello Team, We are currently facing an issue while setting up the Microsoft 365 E5 Sandbox through Microsoft 365 Developer Program. Users are only seeing the option to create an Instant Sandbox, which appears to require billing details. However, the Configurable Sandbox option, which does not involve any cost, is currently grayed out and cannot be selected. We tested this with multiple users within our organization, and the same behavior was observed for both users. This issue was not encountered earlier, as users were previously able to view and select both options — Instant Sandbox and Configurable Sandbox — by default. All impacted users are signing in with organizational email accounts associated with valid Visual Studio Dev Essentials, Professional, or Enterprise subscriptions. We also raised a MS Support case regarding this issue. However, we were informed that this falls outside the scope of a break/fix support case and were advised to post the issue in Microsoft 365 Developer Community forum. This is surprising, as the issue appears to be impacting multiple organizational users and may potentially affect many more members. Requesting your support to review this issue on priority and advise on why the Configurable Sandbox option is disabled, along with the recommended resolution or next steps. Previous Microsoft Support Case related to M365 Developer program different issue: 2601080030003703 Thank you.63Views0likes1Comment
