SPO New UI: cannot copy content in multi-line text columns

After the SPO GUI update my users cannot copy text in custom multi-line text columns anymore.
That is impacting productivity at a large scale.
Please solve this backend issue.

    Dear Joachim,
    this sounds like a potential regression in the new SharePoint Online UI. The Community Hub is not a formal support channel, so please open a Microsoft Support ticket. A support engineer can verify the behavior and, if confirmed, escalate it to the SharePoint product group.

      It is indeed a New UI regression and we need MSFT DEV to fix it. Just wanted to raise the voice & pressure.
