Re: Windows 11 Search Slow: Very, Very Slow!
The problem, which has taken three days to fix, was caused by a lack of a PDF iFilter. As there was no iFilter, Search was using a PDF reader to do the indexing. The solution, then, is to install a PDF iFilter. I have a few questions: Where is the Microsoft Windows Search PDF iFilter? Where is the Microsoft Windows Search documentation? Where are the error messages, warnings, clues related to fixing issues/problems with Microsoft Windows Search? Thanks very much46Views0likes0CommentsCreate Plans from Planner Plans
There are very many Planner plans (Included tier) around the organization. I want to import these into Planner Plans (Planner Plan 1 & Project Plan 3 i.e. 'Project for web') so that they can be included in a Roadmap (Project Plan 3 tier). How do I do that, please? Thank you624Views0likes2CommentsRe: I'm missing something very fundamental ... sorry for the newbee question
I just found this (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/project-architecture-overview) which explains some of my questions. I don't see how Planner and Project integrate, do they? Can I open 'Project for the web' projects using the desktop app? Thanks very much for your patience with my questions473Views0likes2CommentsI'm missing something very fundamental ... sorry for the newbee question
I've installed Project Online and Project Desktop app. I have created a Project and can open it on Teams but can't work out how to open it in the Desktop app. The URL starts with https://project.microsoft.com/... I have created a project in the desktop app and can see it in my Project dashboard but, it has a different icon, and opens in a different web (looking) app (Project Center). The URL ends with sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/Projects.aspx What I am trying to do is explore the integration between Project Online and Planner but I seem to have three different products (project online, project server on my sharepoint domain, and planner on teams). So, I reckon I am missing a key piece of architecture. Would someone mind ignoring me as an idiot and help me understand what's going on, please? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/onenote-web-clipper-has-stopped-working-again/e7e8c31d-1361-499a-b308-5116c0235d2a?rtAction=1712801578802 is broken and, in spite of logging the issue via various channels, there is an absence of feedback from Microsoft on the cause, and likely resolution of the issue. Worse, there seems to be a lack of a Microsoft process to own and escalate the reported and verified issue within the Microsoft organization whilst keeping the customer updated on progress. Can Windwos Search search OneNote notebooks stored on OneDrive for Business
Hello, Is it possible to include the content of OneNote notebooks in search results when searching from Windows 10? If so, would someone mind pointing me to some documentation please as I have not been able to get it to work? If Windows 10 search can't index OneNote notebooks stored on OneDrive for Business I'd appreciate a note back to that effect. Thank you very much1.7KViews0likes3CommentsIntegrating Cortana and O365
I'm missing something fundamental here. I am trying to link Cortana to O365 following these steps https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/cortana-at-work/cortana-at-work-o365 yet my Notebook has none of the options listed and trying to sign in only evokes the Microsoft account sign in option (i.e. Live, not Azure). I am listed in my org AD as a member (and as a Group Admin) as is the device I am using. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 1709 and have also tried using an Enterprise licence. Under Access work or school I don't get a domain or Azure option but have added my O365 account. Thoughts? Thank you1.2KViews0likes1CommentOutlook for iOS repeated requests to sign in
Outlook repeatedly asks for sign in, even though I was accessing OneDrive for Bus (associated with the same account), a few moments earlier. In other words, other O365 apps seem to be authenticated at the time of the request to sign in, it’s just Outlook that’s asking me to authenticate. How do I reduce these constant sign in requests. Is there an easy way to enroll a single Windows device that is already in AAD into Intune? This (actually, there are a couple) device is Azure AD joined and the user of the device has been allocated an Intune licence. Thanks 🙂938Views0likes1Comment
