We have identified the root cause of the issue currently affecting some users on Microsoft 365 Copilot Mac app, starting with version 1.2601 released on January 27. A fix has been prepared for the same and will be delivered via Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU) within the next 48 hours. Please note that the app may not function as expected if MAU configurations are being managed through MDM. To mitigate, tenant administrators can remove the LCID key from their MAU configuration, as illustrated below. Kindly let us know if the issue persists for you beyond this timeline.Does Microsoft have an employee directory?
Hi everyone, Quick question for the group. My company uses Microsoft Teams every day, and people are constantly trying to find the right person internally, who owns what, who reports to who, who sits in which team/department, etc. Teams search and profile cards help a bit, but we’re really looking for a proper employee directory, specifically: A clean employee directory experience (not scattered across different places). Rich employee profiles (photo, title, department, manager, contact info, location, etc.). Strong employee search (by name, department, role, location, ideally more) Is there a native employee directory in Microsoft 365 that does this well out of the box. If not, what are people using instead, SharePoint, Viva, custom build, or a third-party directory that pulls from Entra ID / M365? Would love to hear what’s working in real life.Solved99Views1like1CommentLocked Out of Global Admin – Lost Authenticator – Case 2602060010000939 – Need Escalation
I am locked out of my Global Administrator account because my phone broke on February 5, 2026 and I no longer have access to Microsoft Authenticator. There is no alternative authentication method configured. Case ID: 2602060010000939. I contacted support on February 6 and the ticket was set as Severity C with an 8-hour response expectation. After several days, I have only received generic replies and no contact from an engineer. This account is critical for my business operations, and I have now been without access for five days. I understand it was my responsibility to maintain backup methods, but I urgently need help from Microsoft to recover access. Please contact me. Hi everyone, We are currently working on a Microsoft 365 license optimization initiative and would appreciate insights from the community and Microsoft experts. Our approach focuses on two main areas: (1) Revoking licenses for inactive users, and (2) Reviewing active users to ensure their assigned license (E3, E1, or F3) aligns with actual usage and collaboration needs. From a data perspective, we are leveraging Microsoft 365 usage signals such as Teams activity, Outlook email interactions, meetings, and SharePoint/OneDrive collaboration. While usage reports provide raw metrics, we are looking for guidance on how these signals should be interpreted and combined in a meaningful and fair way. Specifically, we would like to understand: (1) Which usage metrics best represent user collaboration behavior? (2) Are there any recommended thresholds or patterns that help distinguish light, standard, and heavy collaboration users to map E3, E1, or F3? Any best practices, references, or real-world experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry if this is the wrong forums to ask for. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights.140Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft 365 Community Conference: A Beacon for Builders, Innovators, and Icons of Intelligent Work

Hi everyone! As a trainer, I often get great questions during my Microsoft 365 sessions. While I share answers live, only the attendees benefit—leaving many others without that valuable info. I’ve already set up a Microsoft Learning Pathways SharePoint site as a resource, but I’m exploring ways to extend knowledge-sharing beyond the classroom.Has anyone created or participated in a Viva Engage community to share tips, answer questions, and collaborate around daily Microsoft 365 tools? I’d love to hear about your experiences, best practices, or ideas on how to maximize impact and reach across your organizations. Thanks in advance for sharing! Let’s empower everyone to get more from Microsoft 365.😃164Views1like3CommentsAutomating CRUD operations in MS Places
Hi, Has anyone been able to automate CRUD operations in MS Places yet? Given that the Places API calls support user access tokens only currently and Application access tokens isn't yet supported? We were able to do Get operations using App tokens but when run anything to modify, For Ex: Create a building using Set-Placev3 cmdlet it gives error. When raised an MS ticket they confirmed that the calls doesn't support application tokens yet.. We have a showstopper kind of situation.36Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft 365 Certification
Why Microsoft 365 Certified Apps and Agents Matter for IT Admins As an IT Admin, you're constantly balancing innovation, security, and user productivity. With the growing ecosystem of apps/agents integrating into Microsoft 365, how do you ensure the ones your organization adopts are secure, compliant, and reliable? That’s where Microsoft 365 Certification comes in. What Is Microsoft 365 Certification? Microsoft 365 Certification is a rigorous program that evaluates third-party apps across key dimensions like security, compliance, data handling, and privacy. Certified apps/agents meet Microsoft’s highest standards and are verified through independent assessments and documentation reviews. Top Benefits for IT Admins 🔐 Enhanced Security & Compliance Certified apps/agents undergo thorough security testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Many of the controls these apps / agents adhere to are based on established frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR. This ensures that certified apps align with recognized industry standards, providing confidence when deploying them in enterprise settings. 🛠️ Streamlined Governance With certification, IT Admins can confidently shortlist apps or agents in their tenant, knowing they meet Microsoft’s governance criteria. This reduces the overhead of manual vetting and accelerates app adoption. 📍 Discoverability in Microsoft 365 Ecosystem Certified agents are tagged with a “Microsoft 365 Certified” badge in AppSource, Teams Store and the Microsoft 365 admin center, making them easier to find and trust. 📊 Transparency & Documentation The Microsoft Admin Center and Teams Admin Center include a Security & Compliance section under Integrated Apps where admins can view certification details for apps. This feature is designed to improve transparency and speed up app evaluation. Here’s what is available: Certification Class Publisher Verified – Confirms developer authenticity. Publisher Attested – Indicates the app’s security and compliance posture based on self-assessment. Microsoft 365 Certified – Shows that the app has passed Microsoft’s rigorous audit against security and compliance controls. These details help IT teams understand the app’s risk posture before deployment. Evidence Sharing Developers can opt to share certification evidence (e.g., policy docs, system configs, penetration test reports) directly in MAC. This evidence is uploaded during the certification process in Partner Center and, if consented, becomes visible to admins in Microsoft Admin Center and Teams Admin Center. How to Find Certified Apps Visit the Business Apps – Microsoft AppSource to explore certified apps by category, publisher, or certification level. You can also filter apps directly in AppSource or within the Microsoft 365 admin center. Join the Conversation Have you deployed a Microsoft 365 Certified agent in your organization? Share your experience in the comments below or start a thread in the Microsoft Tech Community to help others make informed decisions.1.1KViews2likes0Comments
