Hello,   I am using version 10.7.7(2001) of MS Remote Desktop on Mac and the "Update the session resolution on resize" option (aka Dynamic Resolution Update) is not working.  The behaviour of the client is identical whether I have that option checked or not:   Set up a connection with: "Start session in full screen" unchecked, "Fit session to window" checked, and; "Update the session resolution on resize" checked. Resize the client window by adjusting the right edge of the window. Notice that the entire window scales according to the window aspect ratio, even when only resizing the side of the window. Edit the connection and set "Update the session resolution on resize" to checked. Repeat step 2. Notice that the behaviour is identical to step 3. The previous expected behaviour with the resize option checked was that the client window could be resized arbitrarily and the host resolution would update to match the client resolution.   It sounds like this may have broken in an earlier version than 10.7.7 (see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/505654/remote-desktop-client-for-mac-is-broken-again-wind.html).   Thanks! ... I had a user report this to me. I was on 10.7.6 and then updated to 10.7.7 and can also replicate the issue. When connected to the Wi-Fi or ethernet connection, i can connect to our RDS hosts. On my desktop I have the Display option, "Change the size of text, apps, and other items" set to 125%. When I use Microsoft Remote Desktop from a Mac (OSX) client I don't have the ability to change this, so it defaults to 100% and all my apps change their layout to accommodate this new setting. This is quite frustrating going back and forth between MRD and sitting at my desktop, since I carefully setup outlook and visual studio to have the correct column widths and layouts for my use and it gets all messed up when the scaling goes from 125 to 100%.   I've tried to set the resolution to be 1/1.25 of the desired resolution in MRD, but that doesn't seem to match when the scaling factor is set.   If there's an option to set this somewhere that I have missed, that would be awesome. Last Microsoft Remote Desktop Version version introduced Option-Tab to switch AVD windows. But made it harder to locate windows on Macs. Remote Desktop icon on the dock -> right click -> is showing only RDP windows + the connection center Option tab is showing only AVD windows (and not the connection center). Menu bar window switcher isn't there any longer IMHO, it's not clearer... the option tab option is hard to discover... and we no longer have any text list of all Remote Desktop windows.   I wish there was a unified list of windows managed by the Remote Desktop application (at least, we still have app expose). I wish there was a way to make some windows have their own dock icons (and why not launchpad and/or finder icons). ... View more

RDP 7,7.7. seems to suport multiple monitors as my mouse can move to any of the monitors, but windows will not move to those monitors. They just get clipped. Hi, I am connecting to a Windows Server 2019 using Mac Remote Desktop Version 10.7.7 (2001). I am running on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) on Monterey 12.4   Issue: An application is started. A splash screen is shown. When the splash screen goes away, the main window of the application is supposed to start up maximized or at least visible. The main window is not popping up, it is opened minimized.   This does not happen on the windows remote desktop client.   If the application is run as a "remote app", without windows desktop, I cannot reach the minimized window. The app stays running, until forcefully disconnected using the context menu on the remote desktop app.    I cannot see, why the program main window starts minimized.   Workaround: Opening the task manager on the windows remote desktop while the app is running minimized allows to maximize the window. Now exit the app. When the app ist started again, the main window opens maximized. When running the program as remote app now, the main application window shows up as expected.   What should be fixed:  The remote desktop should have a possibility to see / modify hidden / minimized application windows.   If the remote desktop client reports a wrong screen size to the application, this should be fixed. ... This has been an ongoing issue. The last version that works properly is v10.7.3.   I have three screens, one of them is my MBP's screen, I have a 27" 5K monitor directly above, and a 19" to the left. Every version after 10.7.3 results in only ONE of my screens being utilized and it is done at a very low resolution.   I have 'Use all monitors' and 'Optimize for retina displays' enabled. This works perfectly fine for 10.7.3 and older versions.
