Custom Forms for Creating a Meeting
I want to create a custom form (available to only a small number of users) that allows me to collect more data when a meeting is being booked. The form needs to be able to use drop down lists (single and multi select), checkboxes, radio buttons as well as time and date fields with widgets to enter data - all the usual kind of input fields. I need to set some fields as mandatory and in an ideal world I'd like some mechanism to potentially validate data. This is a corporate set up so whatever I attempt must not impact on others but for one team I want this to be my standard input form. I also can't use anything other than standard Outlook capabilities - it's unlikely corporate will approve add-ins! Can anyone point me to resources that would make this possible?amberGoonerApr 25, 2025Copper Contributor1View0likes0CommentsAuthentication errors when trying to log in
Hello everyone, I'm trying to assist my manager with some technical difficulties regarding his Outlook account. He says that he can't log into Outlook on his mobile devices, including an Android phone, an Android tablet, and an iPhone. The error he receives says that Outlook is failing to authenticate. He can still log in on his desktop and laptop, however, this isn't ideal because he moves a lot throughout the day. Because of this, I can't be there to investigate his devices, but I can relay assistance over the phone. I appreciate any recommendations on where to start looking to troubleshoot and resolve this issue, and will do my best to answer any other questions. Thank you.osmmarketingApr 24, 2025Occasional Reader46Views0likes0CommentsError subject with new mail
Hello, Our users are reporting errors when they send a new e-mail message. When they send the message, Outlook gives an error because there would be no subject. But there is a subject...! How is this possible? I checked some things and I see some strange things: - there is a subject, but Outlook does not see this - when forwarding or replying a message, there is no error - when changing the subject of a forwarded message, the original subject is used - the error is not always; after some time message are send with subject again - in the webmail mails are send without problems At this moment we are using Outlook 365, version 2502 (build 18526.20264, monthly channel). Does anyone knows about this problem? Using iOS Calendar (iOS 18.4.1) to display Outlook Calendars, if creating an All Day event using iOS Calendar I'm unable to select "On day of event (09:00)" as an alert time, it keeps resetting back to "None". If I create the All Day event in Outlook on the phone, and select remind me "Day of event (09:00)", this works within Outlook, but when viewing the event in iOS Calendar it displays "On day of event (00:00)". If I create the All Day event in Outlook on the web, and again select remind me "Day of event (09:00)", this works and is displayed in both Outlook (phone) and iOS Calendar as correct "On day of event (09:00)". End result is that using iOS Calendar to create All Day events I'm unable to select "On day of event" as an alert, I have to use Outlook on the phone, but this creates the alert (in iOS Calendar) for midnight, or if I do want to be notified at 9AM then I need to use Outlook on the web. Has anybody else experienced the same or is it a quirk of settings somewhere?GJMApr 23, 2025Copper Contributor12Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2503 Build 16.0.18623.20178) 32-bit
I have had an issue with emails being slow to open. Sometimes as long as 10 seconds. I am part of a 5-member crew that shares an email. Each one of us works a different shift. We also have individual email accounts as well. The slowness is same in both accounts. The main issue is with a distribution list with 99 recipients. This starts over every night at midnight. As the day progresses and more people respond the opening gets slower. I am pretty sure this is a meta data issue. My company is international and uses exchange. Does anyone know where to stop collecting of data? Is it a corporate setting or am i able to disable on my end?GCD_MarkApr 15, 2025Copper Contributor217Views0likes1CommentOutlook won't delete emails
I am using the Outlook App with no issues. However, this weekend, I added another outlook account that I use to the app and for a while everything was good. Last night I tried to delete 2 emails and everything looked ok, they moved from the inbox to deleted folder. When I logged in again later, the 2 emails were now back in the inbox. I can delete them, but they will re-appear in the inbox when I log back in. I have also noticed that once I open the app, if I close it down, it won't allow me to open the app again, without logging off and on to my account again.gbmanApr 15, 2025Copper Contributor68Views0likes5CommentsOutlook not parsing ics invites with rrule BYMONTHDAY=-1 or BYSETPOS=-1 properly
Current Behavior When an ics event is attached or imported as a file, and the rrule contains either BYMONTHDAY=-1 or BYSETPOS=-1, it is not properly converted to the outlook/exchange meeting type and the ics attachment will read as "not supported calendar message". It is possible to work around this by appending an additional semicolon to any property in the rrule string prior to the BYMONTHDAY=-1 or BYSETPOS=-1. However, the workaround above is actually syntactically invalid. Sending .ics invites that contain an rrule with this workaround that are opened in any application other than outlook would fail to be processed. Reproduction environment MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 (24D81). definitely doesn't matter. using outlook for mac desktop app, outlook web app Reproduction steps See the attached ics invites - note the only difference is the additional semicolon before BYMONTHDAY in the second invite. Save these as files with the .ics extension, and then open them with outlook. Invalid invite - an event that repeats monthly on the last day of the month starting on May 31st for two months. We’ve recently created a calendar in Outlook that’s synced from our CRM via LeadConnector. The sync itself is working fine — but Outlook is automatically sending confirmation emails to our leads when an Appointment is added to the calendar. Out of the first 4 emails sent, 2 of them included strange and unprofessional messages that we never wrote or approved. Here are two real examples of what Outlook sent: 📩 Message 1: It would be nice to be more careful. 📩 Message 2: I’d love to keep talking about this — your thoughts are really valuable to me... These messages are not coming from our CRM. We’ve double-checked everything — there are no templates, automations, or message content like this in our system. It seems Outlook is generating or injecting these lines on its own when it auto-emails the attendee listed on the event. Now we’re concerned it’s going to keep sending more strange messages to our leads. ✅ What we want to do: Stop Outlook from automatically emailing attendees when synced events are created OR at the very least, stop it from inserting these strange message lines I’ve looked in the Outlook calendar settings but can’t find any option to disable guest notifications for synced or externally created events. Has anyone run into this? Any help would be greatly appreciated — we want to stop this before it gets worse.lutzsucceedApr 14, 2025Copper Contributor45Views0likes5CommentsUnable to receive verification e-mails...
Microsoft is still blocking verification e-mails from multiple companies, making me lose access to multiple accounts. This issue was already addressed in past with no answer, as stated in this topic, Verification emails not being received | Microsoft Community Hub We are unable to receive e-mails from Ubisoft and CD-Keys, and unable to verify and login into our accounts. I already contacted the Outlook team and they confirmed I don't have any blocklist rules in my account, but beyond the blocks remain on Microsoft side.KobiApr 11, 2025Copper Contributor63Views0likes2Comments
