Microsoft Outlook Verification notification issue
Hello, Over the past 3 days, I have had recurring notifications seemingly from Microsoft (pushed notification on my Android phone) asking for permission to sign in to my Outlook account. My Outlook accounts are signed in on my phone and my desktop. I changed my password yesterday due to concerns over security and added 2FA. Over the last 3 days I would say I have gotten 10-11 notifications about this. Most come from Canada, but I have had the Netherlands, an unknown location, and I believe the USA in that timeframe. I run a VPN on both my phone and desktop. I've had it happen on both wifi network and the mobile network. I also checked the recent activity log on my Microsoft account, and it only recorded my sign-ins. So my question becomes. Is someone trying to get into my email? Is it a glitch with my VPN or a Microsoft bug? I'm running a OnePlus 10. Any ideas would be great. It's mostly just annoying moreso than anything. Thanks!Mcurtis9229Jan 22, 2026Occasional Reader73Views0likes1CommentNew Outlook: Copying text & images into a blank email often only pastes the text (images disappear)
We've reproduced this on multiple devices with multiple users - it seems to be specific to the New Outlook. Here's my version as an example: Microsoft Outlook Version: 1.2026.105.100 Client Version: 20260116004.02 WebView2 Version: 144.0.3719.82 (Stable) The best way to see this is if you go to your sent items, find an email you've sent that has an embedded image (for example, I used my signature which has an image). Drag to select, like this: Then press CTRL+C to copy, and then try to paste that in a new email. In many cases when I do this, only the text will appear - regardless of my Copy/paste settings in New Outlook, whether I choose to keep source formatting, or not. To copy the images reliably, I need to right-click each image, click "Copy image", then "Paste" manually into a New Outlook new e-mail window. However, my colleague figured out that if you press Reply All or Forward on the same email, and THEN copy the range of text and images, then... when you try to paste that content into a New Outlook e-mail, the text AND images will be pasted correctly. It's almost like the "read-only" view of an email doesn't load embedded content fully, preventing the copy from actually copying images. Try it out. It doesn't always appear to be an issue. I've encountered this more often when trying to copy my own signature - but it also happens in other cases when the embedded image is in the body. In all cases I've seen, it's been with JPGs.mrefghicrcJan 22, 2026Occasional Reader79Views0likes0CommentsTeams meeting email invites do not display "Add to Calendar" header when there's an attachment.
Trying to solve an issue when someone sends out Teams meeting invites that include attachments. The header that typically appears directly above the body of the email showing the time and date of the meeting and the option to add the meeting to your calendar does not appear, this issue is consistent across outlook and gmail inboxes of the recipients. The attachment takes over the space that the 'Add to Calendar' would appear, I have been able to replicate this issue consistently. Removing attachments rectifies the issue but is not really satisfactory as they want to include relevant files to the meeting in the invitations that are sent out. Since updating to the new Outlook, I am not able (on my PC or Mac) to drag and drop account folders to arrange them in a priority fashion. I have downloaded the classic version again, but the new version opens up anyway. I have tried on the app AND using a browser. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I don't know if I am just not doing something correctly, or if that function is not available, except on my mobile devices. We’ve been experiencing an ongoing Outlook glitch where meeting invitations are being resent from our shared inbox without anyone triggering them. Some of these invites relate to meetings that have already taken place, and in a few cases the system has even removed some attendees unexpectedly. We’ve gone through all the details and can’t find any pattern in terms of attendees, dates, times, descriptions, or actions taken. It also doesn't seem linked to any one persons account in the shared inbox. It happens on both Classic Outlook and New Outlook, on both Teams meetings and F2F meetings. The resends happen at completely random times of day or night, including times when no one is online. This has happened repeatedly, and in total more than 300 unwanted emails have been sent over the course of a year. We’d really appreciate any guidance on why this might be happening, whether anyone else has experienced something similar, or how we can stop these automatic resends from occurring.libbyeJan 19, 2026Copper Contributor71Views0likes1CommentHow to change order of accounts on Android (with many accounts) ?
I'm using Outlook for Android with more than 10 accounts (needed for personal, office, associations, ...) When I add a new account it's added at the end of the list. If I try to edit the list and change the order, the list need more that one screen to display everything. And I can't scroll down ! I can change the order by holding the double line on the left and moving up or down. But only for the accounts displayed on the screen (upper part of my account lists). I can't move the screen to the bottom of the list. If I put my finger on the name of the account (middle of each line), it's like holding the double line on the right. And only possible to reorder these first accounts. I've tried to use "My mobile app" on my computer and accessing the screen of my phone (expecting, that with my mouse I'll be able to scroll down) but not working ! And also trying to connect a USB mouse, but no more chance to scroll down. How can I access to the bottom ? Hope there is a trick to reorder instead of disconnecting all accounts and adding them again in the correct order 🤞Laurent73Jan 19, 2026Copper Contributor27Views0likes0CommentsNo Unified viewing of multiple email accounts withing Outlook Desktop 😡
Why is it now so hard to view all emails from multiple accounts on Outlook Desktop! You can do this on mobile device and mac so why not PC Version for Windows ! Yes I know you can do work arounds but why is this just not a feature that was there before. I have started using Thunderbird for this reason alone. Wake up Microsoft Outlook Team !HullStorageJan 18, 2026Copper Contributor21Views0likes2CommentsMigrating Outlook folders from old to new laptop Windows 11
Hi, How do I get my old Outlook folders of emails from my previous laptop onto my new laptop? December 2025 I have bought a new DELL 16 laptop Windows 11 and MS Office Personal 2021. Old laptop is a 2019 DELL Inspiron Windows 11 Microsoft Office Personal Plus 16.0. (Storage full, battery lasts 10 minutes, fan makes an odd noise - hence new Laptop bought) The new laptop has Outlook working perfectly for new emails etc. How do I transfer my old Outlook folders (which are stored on the old laptop) onto the new laptop? I want to use my new laptop for everything. At the moment, my old email folders all the way back to 2014 or something are on my old laptop, which seems a bit mad. How do I migrate the old laptop folders and emails onto the new laptop? Many thanksRobertW1971Jan 17, 2026Copper Contributor2Views0likes0CommentsSetting up mail forwarding of an account with no Outlook license
Hi, Currently we have an account that can be used to log into office.com. There's no Outlook license applied to the account. As a result, if someone sends an email to it, it will be sent back because it's not a valid email address. (e.g. due to not having a license, there's no mailbox). I was wondering if it's possible to setup mail forwarding on this account? Or would it require an Outlook license? I have been using MS Windows almost from the day it was invented, at least since I purchased my first computer in the 1960's and similarly using MS Office in all its guises. Throughout that time I have been totally satisfied other than minor glitches, some of which were my fault. So why am I publishing this now? Because I am totally fed up with Junk and Spam. I have been diligently reporting it through the MS Report tool but I have concluded that far from reducing the number (50+ a day!) the number is actually increasing. Completely unrealistic email addresses happily pass through whatever filters are supposedly in place, threats that MS products are about to be disconnected are regularly received, threats that I have not paid for services I have never had (and don't want!) - the list is long. Why isn't the MS filter system working? A friend who uses Apple (I didn't mean to swear!) gets zero spam messages. If Apple can do it why not MS? Even as I have been typing this I have received a message saying my outlook account is going to be deleted. Please don't put this back on me, suggesting I change my email. I have a large email address book which would be a nightmare to change and not least probably cost a significant sum.BaffledJan 16, 2026Copper Contributor56Views0likes2Comments
