Drag and drop email-to-task (To Do) from favourites bug
It's been driving me crazy but I finally seemed to figure out why I could no longer drag emails into the ToDo pane to create tasks. Firstly, it seems that you can only drag emails to create tasks for business, or non-Microsoft accounts, I'm not sure which, or both. Secondly, you need to select an email from within the actual account in the left pane, NOT favourites. See this image: https://imgur.com/a/ZdyAvYb This bug may have been introduced in the last few months, as I don't recall encountering any issues until somewhat recently. Anyway, I hope this helps prevent someone from ripping out their hair like I was.DavidMichaelangeloJan 20, 2026Copper Contributor280Views1like6CommentsSpam and Junk
I have been using MS Windows almost from the day it was invented, at least since I purchased my first computer in the 1960's and similarly using MS Office in all its guises. Throughout that time I have been totally satisfied other than minor glitches, some of which were my fault. So why am I publishing this now? Because I am totally fed up with Junk and Spam. I have been diligently reporting it through the MS Report tool but I have concluded that far from reducing the number (50+ a day!) the number is actually increasing. Completely unrealistic email addresses happily pass through whatever filters are supposedly in place, threats that MS products are about to be disconnected are regularly received, threats that I have not paid for services I have never had (and don't want!) - the list is long. Why isn't the MS filter system working? A friend who uses Apple (I didn't mean to swear!) gets zero spam messages. If Apple can do it why not MS? Even as I have been typing this I have received a message saying my outlook account is going to be deleted. Please don't put this back on me, suggesting I change my email. I have a large email address book which would be a nightmare to change and not least probably cost a significant sum.BaffledJan 20, 2026Copper Contributor36Views0likes2CommentsOutlook Meeting Invitation Glitch
We’ve been experiencing an ongoing Outlook glitch where meeting invitations are being resent from our shared inbox without anyone triggering them. Some of these invites relate to meetings that have already taken place, and in a few cases the system has even removed some attendees unexpectedly. We’ve gone through all the details and can’t find any pattern in terms of attendees, dates, times, descriptions, or actions taken. It also doesn't seem linked to any one persons account in the shared inbox. It happens on both Classic Outlook and New Outlook, on both Teams meetings and F2F meetings. The resends happen at completely random times of day or night, including times when no one is online. This has happened repeatedly, and in total more than 300 unwanted emails have been sent over the course of a year. We’d really appreciate any guidance on why this might be happening, whether anyone else has experienced something similar, or how we can stop these automatic resends from occurring.libbyeJan 19, 2026Copper Contributor41Views0likes1CommentFavorites shared folders not displaying related shared account

Hi there, I tried to scour for something similar, but I couldn't find anything and/or it didn't work - so here I am - hopefully someone can help. Okay the facts - I use Classic Outlook (CO moving forward) and I run 5 email address in it - 3 are a domain for my company that I run and 2 are POP emails brought in from AOL. I run Windows 11. This is happening to 3 or my 5 work stations, all three are the ones on Windows 11. This started slow a few weeks ago, thought it was just low memory so went through and cleaned up old emails. I am not seeing these issues when using the 2 pop emails - just my company domain ones. Can open CO, taking some extended time but it is getting there. As soon as I try to send an email, reply to an email, change a signature within a new email - it either takes 5-10 minutes to load if we do not click again and just let it sit and think. The second I try and click something or try and scroll while waiting - it goes into 'Not Responding'. Some times it will load after 1 minute and sometimes it just get stuck. I have updated my CO, I tried the advanced 'online repair' through my system, I have tried disabling all my add-ons, I tried deleting my email account from CO and re-loading/logging in, I have checked my graphics card (something on google said to check it for updates), I have ran command prompts to check for internal Windows errors and I have come up short on everything.BrittanyNJan 19, 2026Copper Contributor492Views0likes8CommentsHow to change order of accounts on Android (with many accounts) ?
I'm using Outlook for Android with more than 10 accounts (needed for personal, office, associations, ...) When I add a new account it's added at the end of the list. If I try to edit the list and change the order, the list need more that one screen to display everything. And I can't scroll down ! I can change the order by holding the double line on the left and moving up or down. But only for the accounts displayed on the screen (upper part of my account lists). I can't move the screen to the bottom of the list. If I put my finger on the name of the account (middle of each line), it's like holding the double line on the right. And only possible to reorder these first accounts. I've tried to use "My mobile app" on my computer and accessing the screen of my phone (expecting, that with my mouse I'll be able to scroll down) but not working ! And also trying to connect a USB mouse, but no more chance to scroll down. How can I access to the bottom ? Hope there is a trick to reorder instead of disconnecting all accounts and adding them again in the correct order 🤞Laurent73Jan 19, 2026Occasional Reader10Views0likes0CommentsSetting up mail forwarding of an account with no Outlook license
Hi, Currently we have an account that can be used to log into office.com. There's no Outlook license applied to the account. As a result, if someone sends an email to it, it will be sent back because it's not a valid email address. (e.g. due to not having a license, there's no mailbox). I was wondering if it's possible to setup mail forwarding on this account? Or would it require an Outlook license? Why is it now so hard to view all emails from multiple accounts on Outlook Desktop! You can do this on mobile device and mac so why not PC Version for Windows ! Yes I know you can do work arounds but why is this just not a feature that was there before. I have started using Thunderbird for this reason alone. Wake up Microsoft Outlook Team !HullStorageJan 18, 2026Copper Contributor3Views0likes0Comments
