Outlook doesn't work for 4th IMAP email addy
Okay, so the title was probably badly worded. Ever since the new outlook, my 4th IMAP email address doesn't work - and it worked in the old outlook. I have 4 IMAPs and 2 gmails I check through Outlook, on two different computers. One is a brand new setup. The email address I am having problems with works fine with the exact same settings on my mobile app (not outlook) and it works fine if I add it to gmail. So it's definitely an outlook problem. Both computers keep redirecting me to sign in, as if it were a wrong password. It isn't. I've tried adding it the prompted way, and by clicking settings and signing in or managing it through there. I need other ideas. I can't seem to fix this.SmurphetteJun 20, 2026Copper Contributor30Views0likes4CommentsUnable to drag cursor to select text in a draft.
For as long as I can remember, I have been unable to drag my cursor to select any text in a draft message. I can however drag the cursor to select text in a received message, as long as I'm not in the midst of drafting a response. I can use a combination of SHIFT+ arrow keys to select text. I also have no issue dragging the cursor to select text in Outlook on the Web. I have to assume this is intentional being that this bug has existed for so long. Is there any explanation as to why Microsoft feels Outlook for Mac users should not be permitted to drag their cursor to select text? I've just updated Outlook for Mac via the App Store to version 16.83 (24031120).Anthony-123Jun 18, 2026Iron Contributor1.3KViews0likes1CommentOutlook.com shared calendar disappeared for one user
I have a personal Microsoft account with a Live.com address. For over 10 years, I have had a calendar that is shared with my wife and daughter. It was created when Microsoft introduced the Family Room feature, which created a shared OneNote and shared calendar. While the Family Room feature was discontinued, the shared OneNote and shared calendar have continued to work without problem until today. The shared calendar has disappeared from my daughter's Outlook on Windows, Web and Android. My wife still has access to the shared calendar. I have tried removing her shared access permission and then adding it again. She receives the invitation to accept the access and clicks Accept. The shared calendar reappears in her Outlook calendars with all events shown, but after a few seconds, the calendar disappears. I have not found any useful information about this problem online. All the articles I can find relating to problems with shared calendars relate to Outlook for Microsoft 365 and not the consumer Outlook.com. If anyone can help resolve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.djh361Jun 17, 2026Copper Contributor179Views4likes2CommentsSpam email "FreeSpins4You"
Good morning everyone. I have been receiving spam emails from "FreeSpins4You". There is no address with the email. If I click on the email or if the email selected by deleting email above, Outlook crashes. After Outlook recovers I am able to right click on the email but am not able to select "junk" in the drop down menu. If I simply select the email by left clicking then Outlook will crash again. I am able to drag the email to the junk folder but this does not prevent receiving it again. Please advise if there is anything I can do to stop these messages. I am receiving two or three a day. Thanks, PeterAlpha32Jun 17, 2026Copper Contributor1.3KViews1like2CommentsShared Outlook Calendar disappeared
An Outlook Calendar that my wife and I share has suddenly disappeared from my Outlook Calendar. It still shows on my wife's computer. We set this up a number of years ago, so I have no idea where or how to troubleshoot this. I do recall that we had to each create outlook.com email addresses so that we could access Microsoft Exchange. We are using the Classic version of Outlook. In case it's useful, here's the exact information from the Outlook About page: "Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2605 Build 16.0.20026.20168) 64-bit." Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem.SalsaCycleJun 16, 2026Copper Contributor24Views0likes0CommentsRecurring Monthly meeting every x days excluding weekends
Good Day, I do not see the option in outlook to create a recurring monthly meeting on 8th day of every month but if the 8th falls on the weekend it should use the next working day (Monday).cnaidooJun 16, 2026Copper Contributor1.1KViews0likes7CommentsNew Outlook Offline Mode: Add and open attachments while offline
Microsoft has been rolling out offline functionality in phases, and the latest update now allows users to add and open attachments while offline. I created a short walkthrough covering what works offline now, what users need to know about attaching files from OneDrive versus local drives, and which features still require an internet connection. I also shared my discoveries when creating a calendar event that you don't want to miss. Current State: You can create a category and assign it to a contact card. Prior to April 2026, you can not easily delete the actual Category, which removes it from the left navigation. Background Info: The contact categories in New Outlook are separate from the Inbox and Calendar categories. The Delete a category icon in the People Tab appears to have been missed. Workaround Solution: Try this method if you do not have the latest New Outlook People Hub Enabled. You can remove the category from each contact by pressing the X by the category. Then close and reopen New Outlook; the category will no longer appear in the People tab's left navigation. More Information as of June 15, 2026: Microsoft has fixed the issue with Contact category deletion. Select a contact | Select Add a Category | Deselect the Category Once you remove the assigned category from all contacts, the category will automatically be removed from the left navigation. Note: You cannot select multiple contacts and apply a category. It is on the backlog. If you find this information helpful, please mark it as the best response. /Teresa #traccreations4e Original post: 02/05/2024 Modified post: 06/15/202618KViews11likes22CommentsNew Outlook for Macintosh Calendar Crashing

There is a serious problem with Copilot turning itself back on in the new Outlook. I would like to ask Microsoft engineers a simple question: What is the purpose of the Copilot toggle button? What is the point of a button that turns itself back on after 15 minutes? Why are you treating users this way, with such an aggressive approach to software we paid for? The situation is extremely simple: If I turn off Copilot, I also lose the Summarize function — which I never wanted in my email client. I do not want you to offer to read my messages for me and retell them. The Copilot button bothers me, and Copilot itself bothers me. I do not need it. When I turn it off, it comes back. What is the point of this? Are you trying to force people into accepting something they clearly do not want? The only way to disable it is to block content analysis. But if I do that, spell check stops working. That is extremely manipulative. I have no words.VladiFiliJun 14, 2026Iron Contributor3.4KViews19likes15Comments
