outlook for android

Hello, Over the past 3 days, I have had recurring notifications seemingly from Microsoft (pushed notification on my Android phone) asking for permission to sign in to my Outlook account. My Outlook accounts are signed in on my phone and my desktop. I changed my password yesterday due to concerns over security and added 2FA. Over the last 3 days I would say I have gotten 10-11 notifications about this. Most come from Canada, but I have had the Netherlands, an unknown location, and I believe the USA in that timeframe. I run a VPN on both my phone and desktop. I've had it happen on both wifi network and the mobile network. I also checked the recent activity log on my Microsoft account, and it only recorded my sign-ins. So my question becomes. Is someone trying to get into my email? Is it a glitch with my VPN or a Microsoft bug? I'm running a OnePlus 10. Any ideas would be great. It's mostly just annoying moreso than anything. Thanks!131Views0likes2CommentsHow to change order of accounts on Android (with many accounts) ?
I'm using Outlook for Android with more than 10 accounts (needed for personal, office, associations, ...) When I add a new account it's added at the end of the list. If I try to edit the list and change the order, the list need more that one screen to display everything. And I can't scroll down ! I can change the order by holding the double line on the left and moving up or down. But only for the accounts displayed on the screen (upper part of my account lists). I can't move the screen to the bottom of the list. If I put my finger on the name of the account (middle of each line), it's like holding the double line on the right. And only possible to reorder these first accounts. I've tried to use "My mobile app" on my computer and accessing the screen of my phone (expecting, that with my mouse I'll be able to scroll down) but not working ! And also trying to connect a USB mouse, but no more chance to scroll down. How can I access to the bottom ? Hope there is a trick to reorder instead of disconnecting all accounts and adding them again in the correct order 🤞44Views0likes0CommentsOutlook for Android Login Error
I have a user with an Android device trying to get Outlook for Android to work. She has the latest version, we've uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled, cleared all devices from her mailbox in O365, cleared cache, tried cell connection/Wifi, and we don't have any restrictive MDM or MAM rules. When she tries to login it says "Login Error, The connection to your mail server timed out. Please check your mail settings." Unfortunately with the app you can't check the settings to verify and when she tries the Support Link it just spins and she can't get assistance. Ideas?217KViews1like46CommentsMobile app Sub folder notifications
We have pushed all our users to use Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, however many are complaining that they have created rules on the Outlook desktop client to put emails in certain sub folders (i.e. all emails from my manager go into a sub folder) and not getting notifications. As the email is moved to the folder before it gets to the client, the mobile apps do not display a notification. As a work around I've had to set up some Flows so that if email received from a certain email address, it displays a notification. The user can then open Outlook and go to the relevant folder. Its not pretty. This seems like a basic feature, its available in the iOS and Android stock mail apps which most used before we pushed them to Outlook. Any plans on the mobile apps to have notifications for sub folders?261KViews25likes109Commentsmobile app fails authentication when installing (android)

I had the opportunity to interview Caitlin Hart, the Principal Product Manager for New Outlook, where I asked the challenging questions of frustrated New Outlook users, IT Consultants, and IT developers. We talked about: Is the New Outlook just a wrapper for the web version? Why didn’t Microsoft recreate Classic Outlook from scratch? Why are users forced to switch to the New Outlook app? Why are some users still resistant to adopting the New Outlook? When will New Outlook meet the needs of power users? How is Microsoft encouraging VBA developers to stay ahead? And more Watch the video for Caitlin's responses. I am experiencing an issue with Outlook inbox rules not syncing across devices, and I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing out a key configuration or limitation. This is the situation : I have several inbox rules ( eg move messages from specific senders to folders, auto-forward certain emails) on my desktop Outlook client ( Windows, Microsoft 365 subscription). They work perfectly on that machine. But when I open Outlook on the web (OWA) or on my mobile devices, those rules don't show up completely or at times they don't run consistently... Here's what I've checked ; 1. I'm using a Microsoft 365 Business standard account ( exchange online) 2. Rules were created in Outlook desktop app ( File > Manage Rules & Alerts) Cached Exchange Mode is enabled. The rules are client-only according to the UI, but I thought some rules could be server-side if basic enough? On OWA, when I go to Settings > Mail > Rules, it's either empty or doesn't show all the rules I created on desktop. If I create rules in the desktop app shouldn't they sync to other clients ( OWA, mobile), or are they local by default ? What is the difference between client-side and server-side rules in terms of syncing and functionality ?Solved688Views5likes5CommentsOutlook won't let me sign in to my account neither update the 2-step verification information.
Hello guys, I have been trying to sign in to my Outlook account using my password and even though the password is correct Outlook IS NOT GIVING ME ACCESS to my account. Is asking for a code which is being sent to my recovery email account which is also an Outlook account but apparently it has been blocked due to trying to get access to it with the wrong password. (Which was not me, I am guessing Microsoft had a leak of information and someone tried to) Password is correct and I have confirmed it but Microsoft is still trying to double check that is me even though I have never had 2 step verification active. Is there any way in which i can update the recovery email so that code gets sent to a new email that I had to create (The one in which I am currently logged in and starting this conversation) so I can gain access to my +15 email account? I just need to know if I will be able to recover the account at some point or should I give up and move on? I need a resolution and NONE of the websites in Microsoft is being of any help. Bottom line: Need to update the recovery information of my Outlook account since I no longer have access to the recovery email, phone number or app from another phone. IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE?
