outlook for android
178 Topics- It’s now easier to access iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts in OutlookWe’re excited to announce that the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for iOS and Android now support easier iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts access. You no longer need to create and enter app-specific passwords to access your iCloud data in Outlook apps. Now using the OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol, simply sign in with your Apple Account to access your iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts in Outlook. If you already have iCloud set up in Outlook, in the coming months you will be asked to sign in, which will reauthenticate using the new OAuth 2.0 flow. Availability The ability to access iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts using the new authentication flow is rolling out across the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for iOS and Android. If you attempt to access iCloud data and are presented with the previous Basic Authentication flow (prompting for an app-specific password), ensure you’ve updated to the latest Outlook app version and restart Outlook. For classic Outlook for Windows users, we recommend trying the new Outlook for Windows, which provides both the new authentication flow and built-in support for iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts without the need for an Outlook add-in. Feedback We would love to hear from you. To submit your feedback, select: Help > Feedback in the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac Settings > Help & Feedback > Send Feedback in Outlook for iOS and Android324Views2likes0Comments
- Mobile app Sub folder notificationsWe have pushed all our users to use Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, however many are complaining that they have created rules on the Outlook desktop client to put emails in certain sub folders (i.e. all emails from my manager go into a sub folder) and not getting notifications. As the email is moved to the folder before it gets to the client, the mobile apps do not display a notification. As a work around I've had to set up some Flows so that if email received from a certain email address, it displays a notification. The user can then open Outlook and go to the relevant folder. Its not pretty. This seems like a basic feature, its available in the iOS and Android stock mail apps which most used before we pushed them to Outlook. Any plans on the mobile apps to have notifications for sub folders?259KViews25likes109Comments

- New Outlook: Users Say It's Broken—Microsoft response.I had the opportunity to interview Caitlin Hart, the Principal Product Manager for New Outlook, where I asked the challenging questions of frustrated New Outlook users, IT Consultants, and IT developers. We talked about: Is the New Outlook just a wrapper for the web version? Why didn’t Microsoft recreate Classic Outlook from scratch? Why are users forced to switch to the New Outlook app? Why are some users still resistant to adopting the New Outlook? When will New Outlook meet the needs of power users? How is Microsoft encouraging VBA developers to stay ahead? And more Watch the video for Caitlin's responses. Video: https://youtu.be/5WYjmzrOZI8 #traccreations4e-p25 4/26/2025630Views0likes3Comments
- Outlook rules not syncing across devices, am I missing something obvious ?I am experiencing an issue with Outlook inbox rules not syncing across devices, and I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing out a key configuration or limitation. This is the situation : I have several inbox rules ( eg move messages from specific senders to folders, auto-forward certain emails) on my desktop Outlook client ( Windows, Microsoft 365 subscription). They work perfectly on that machine. But when I open Outlook on the web (OWA) or on my mobile devices, those rules don't show up completely or at times they don't run consistently... Here's what I've checked ; 1. I'm using a Microsoft 365 Business standard account ( exchange online) 2. Rules were created in Outlook desktop app ( File > Manage Rules & Alerts) Cached Exchange Mode is enabled. The rules are client-only according to the UI, but I thought some rules could be server-side if basic enough? On OWA, when I go to Settings > Mail > Rules, it's either empty or doesn't show all the rules I created on desktop. If I create rules in the desktop app shouldn't they sync to other clients ( OWA, mobile), or are they local by default ? What is the difference between client-side and server-side rules in terms of syncing and functionality ?Solved367Views5likes5Comments
- Outlook won't let me sign in to my account neither update the 2-step verification information.Hello guys, I have been trying to sign in to my Outlook account using my password and even though the password is correct Outlook IS NOT GIVING ME ACCESS to my account. Is asking for a code which is being sent to my recovery email account which is also an Outlook account but apparently it has been blocked due to trying to get access to it with the wrong password. (Which was not me, I am guessing Microsoft had a leak of information and someone tried to) Password is correct and I have confirmed it but Microsoft is still trying to double check that is me even though I have never had 2 step verification active. Is there any way in which i can update the recovery email so that code gets sent to a new email that I had to create (The one in which I am currently logged in and starting this conversation) so I can gain access to my +15 email account? I just need to know if I will be able to recover the account at some point or should I give up and move on? I need a resolution and NONE of the websites in Microsoft is being of any help. Bottom line: Need to update the recovery information of my Outlook account since I no longer have access to the recovery email, phone number or app from another phone. IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE? Thanks.202Views0likes2Comments
- invalid credentials extended errorI can´t configure or login my john iezzi at iezzinformatica dot com dot ar account outside Microsoft Edge (Canary) using Urban VPN add-on configured on U.S.A. Almost all of my iezzinformatica dot com dot ar accounts were added for imports (beside of setting forward) in my main Google Workspace IEZZIMATICA dot com dot ar account. Didn't know that Google uses a lot of IP address from various places in the world (discovered in my iezzinformatica dot com dot ar logs account). Now Im trying to reunite all e-mail in just one iezzinformatica dot com dot ar account (the one I use for Windows 11 Canary) in order to subscribe the cheapest professional MS 365 Professional Service, with all my actual accounts and aliases. But if I dont solve the problem of reuniting all my mail in just one account Im pretty stuck. I have no longer access to an admin panel coz it's a legacy Service (an old Windows Live Domain, it seems to me, that Works only thanks to MX still alive). What can I do? Im not even allowed to add that account to MS Authenticator.130Views0likes1Comment
