Work hours and location policy

Hi!

I'm wondering if it's possible to lock down the option "Share your location -> People in my organization can ..." in Work Hours and location in new Outlook? IE to set a policy somewhere (Intune/M365 Admin) in order to lock this so a user can't change it? For example if we want the "Can view all details (building, desk etc.)" to be automatically set for everyone.

If not at the moment, is this something that is planned for the future?

Kind regards,

Frida

  • Afaik this is not possible currently. The corresponding cmdlets/endpoints don't yet expose these controls, and I haven't seen anything on the Roadmap around this, either.

Thank you for your quick reply. It would be great it if somehow were added since it seems to factor in to the  Analytics for Microsoft Places (which is why I'm asking about it). See example here for the Workplan adoption:

But perhaps the above parts still work even if the employee were to select any of the above privacy options. Perhaps the Outlook privacy options are only for visibility in the Peoples tab in the Places app. Example picture:

Perhaps they end up in the last section then?

I'm just trying to figure out which parts of these are relevant for which bits in Places. The most important bit is that the Analytics won't be affected due to a single employee's privacy choices.
