I have a problem with synchronising. When I open Outlook it will synchronise my inbox but thereafter it says "synchronising bin" and will remain like that for the rest of the day. The only way to receive or send is to switch off my computer and restart. How do I stop "synchronising bin"?222Views0likes4CommentsNew Outlook - PST file cannot reopen and PST search not working
Hi, Issue 1 – One PST file cannot be reopened I have two PST files, PST A and PST B. PST A can currently be opened and browsed normally in New Outlook. PST B was previously opened in New Outlook and I was able to browse the folders and emails. However, after I closed/removed PST B from New Outlook, I am now unable to open/add the same PST file again. The PST file can still be opened using Classic Outlook. If the PST format is unsupported or too old for New Outlook, why was New Outlook able to open and browse it previously before I closed it? Could this be related to the PST format (ANSI vs Unicode), PST corruption, or a limitation/bug in New Outlook? Issue 2 – Unable to search emails stored in PST For PST A, I can open the PST and manually browse and read the emails in New Outlook. However, when I use Search, emails stored inside the PST do not appear in the search results. This is referring to searching for the email/message itself, not searching for attachments. The same PST can be searched using Classic Outlook. My understanding is that New Outlook now supports searching emails stored in PST files. Is PST search fully supported, or are there still limitations compared with Classic Outlook? I would appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot both issues, especially whether there is a way to verify PST compatibility with New Outlook.171Views0likes1Commentnew mail-account automatically forwards external mails to internal address
Hi, last week I created a new mail-account to our outlook-users and added a mail-license. Only internal mails was received in the new inbox and after troubleshooting and using mail-trace I discovered that the mails was forwarded to another internal inbox. This is not something that is configured anywhere in the mentioned settings when trying to troubleshoot forwarding-issues. How do I turn this off, so that my new employee can receive external e-mails. We don't have any policies or rules set up, that should trigger this behavior. We recently had a partner experience an issue that is causing the teams add-in feature to not load properly in classic outlook when creating a new meeting. For some background info, we are using a Virtual environment within remote desktop running windows 11. Our servers are provided by AWS. The issue only began as recently as December, as far as we can ascertain with the customers information. I have noticed this issue occurs with numerous partners but is inconsistent, as some load and others do not. I followed troubleshooting steps such as an uninstall/reinstall, verifying the load behavior in the registry was set to 3, and tried to re-register the related teams.addinLoader.dll. A colleague did implement a script to the environment task scheduler that will run every time outlook is launched to re-install that add-in as a break fix, but this still requires closing outlook and reloading it to work. I was curious if anyone else had encountered this within remote desktop with classic outlook, and if they had any success in fixing it. The easiest thing, obviously, is moving over to new outlook since teams' integration is native, but we have some that prefer classic. Though, with it being retired in 2029 it may be worth starting the move away while in a remote environment.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Authenticator - after toggling Screen Lock on Phone
Hello all, I am going crazy over this and really need help urgently. I made my account 'passwordless' and depended on 'MS Authenticator App' to login. I was trying to take back up of my phone and thus turned off screen lock temporarily. When I turned it On again, MS Auth app won't let me sign-in. So, I tried to use the copilot and it asked me to use my 'account recovery code'... which I did and then this is the message I get: ---------------------------------------------------- Because you turned on two-step verification, you need up-to-date security info to sign in to your account. During the waiting period you will not be able to sign in to sites or services with your Microsoft account, but will be able to sign in to devices or use your existing app passwords. You can avoid the wait by: Using a trusted device. If you have a device that doesn't require codes, use it now and update your security info. Finding your security info. Any chance it isn't entirely lost? [I just need to reattach/re-enable phone auth/my account using a QR scan] ------------------------------------------------------- Copilot also asked me to remove the hotmail account from my auth-app, restart the phone and try to access the security page to scan the QR code and re-enable the auth through phone. Now here's the thing. Although I am in my email account [it was already open in my browser - and it did not log-off automatically] I am unable to access the security page on my microsoft account unless I approve it via my Auth App. And my Auth App doesn't have the Hotmail account, because Copilot asked me to remove it and re-attach it. I'm stuck in a loop. Text Messages are limited to few attempts, so no luck there either.385Views0likes2CommentsAccount Locked: Recovery Form Automatically Rejected (Need Human Assistance)
Hello, I am trying to regain access to my old Microsoft account, br**mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the password and I no longer have access to the phone number linked to the account. I completed the Microsoft account recovery form and provided as much information as possible. However, I received a message saying that the information I provided was insufficient to verify that I own the account. I understand the importance of account security, but I am not sure what else I can do to prove that the account belongs to me. Is there another way to verify my identity or contact Microsoft Support for help? Thank you for your assistance.307Views0likes2CommentsLocked out of Device. In need of assistance.
TLDR: Am being force to verify account that is on my laptop, to log in my laptop. What to do. Context I recently got a laptop, and it required a mircosoft account/email, I didnt know how it worked and made a account called mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons thinking I was making a account. It just let me do that and ask me to verify later. Once I was in my new laptop I started using and then realized I needed a actual account so I made mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons which was my new real account. However recently (i think i remeber it needing to verify after 7 days) the pin is no longer avaible and to make the pin work again, I needed to was to sign in to my mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons which was fine I had my password however it says susipous acitivty requires email verficition to my original fake mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons I try fixing it and which on aka.ms/pwr and account.live.com/proofs/marklost and it only lets me reset my password and attach a passkey which I did but when I try to log into the outlook account and get the password and passkey right it STILL REQUIRED ME TO VERIFY with my fake mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons account. Am I screwed, do I need to get a fresh boot of windows and wipe my storage or smt or is there a representive that can remove the fake email. Any help is appreciated please and thank youSolved395Views0likes2CommentsOutlook Signature Images Missing / Not Displaying Correctly

Recently I helped a user migrate from an IMAP mail to Outlook. I downloaded the PST file from the old IMAP account and loaded the file into his new account, all in Classic Outlook as this user refuses to use the new Outlook. However, during the load of old mail he would stop receiving any new mail. To fix this I created a new profile and that did allow new mail to arrive, however, the mail from the backup didn’t show. I then loaded the backup into the new Outlook and it only loaded mail up to 2022. After this, we loaded the PST into Outlook Classic on a different device as to not disrupt workflow, but that also didn’t solve the issue. I loaded the PST file into a testing account, and it did load all the files, from 2020 to the date the file was created.297Views0likes2Comments
