Mobile app Sub folder notifications
We have pushed all our users to use Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, however many are complaining that they have created rules on the Outlook desktop client to put emails in certain sub folders (i.e. all emails from my manager go into a sub folder) and not getting notifications. As the email is moved to the folder before it gets to the client, the mobile apps do not display a notification. As a work around I've had to set up some Flows so that if email received from a certain email address, it displays a notification. The user can then open Outlook and go to the relevant folder. Its not pretty. This seems like a basic feature, its available in the iOS and Android stock mail apps which most used before we pushed them to Outlook. Any plans on the mobile apps to have notifications for sub folders?Outlook Mobile Features
Hello everyone. My firm has recently moved from Blackberry Work to Outlook Mobile with Intune for our mobile email solution (yes we are using the other features of Intune as well). I cannot seem to find anything about two features that a couple of partners have asked about. Blackberry Work had the ability to click on an email and create a calendar entry from it with the body of the email in the calendar info and any attachments would get automatically attached to the calendar entry. Is there a way to do this in Outlook Mobile? On the desktop there is a QuickPart that you can add to your menus to do it but I don't see anything on the Mobile app. On the desktop app you can hit Send and File for an email which sends the email and then lets you file the email to a folder. Is there a way to do this on the mobile app? I've looked and cannot find anything? Is there a way to BCC yourself automatically on all emails sent from the Outlook Mobile app? If these features do not exist... Microsoft you should add them. The mobile app is so similar to the desktop app, I am surprised that there are things that are missing from the mobile app (like the Notes in Outlook desktop). So weird. Also, why doesn't Outlook automatically populate your mobile app with the desktop signatures? Seems an easy thing to do. Regards, -Frank
Undeliverable messages for every email RECEIVED, not for every email sent
Hi Every time i receive an email to my inbox, an undeliverable message goes to my junk mail. I dont think the sender gets the message as i tried a test email and i only got the one undeliverable message directly to my junk mail. Compose calendar event URLs do not open the compose dialog on mobile
So taking the following link: https://outlook.cloud.microsoft/owa?path=calendar/action/compose&rru=addevent&subject=test&body=test On mobile devices it will open outlook and the the compose dialog will not open. We used to use the deeplink url but had to switch to the aboveas it has a bug where it ends with a blank screen as described here:https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-365/outlook-deeplink-calendar-compose-ends-with-a-blank-screen-on/m-p/4212741#M53563 I've seen threads on both of these bugs since early 2023 with no resolution, Is there a better place to raise it?
Outlook Mobile Delegate can Access Private Items
Hello all, I have the following challenge as an M365-Admin, please help me find a solution: The management team in my company have assistants. The assistants are given Full Access to the EXO Mailbox via the EXO AC. When a person from management team is sending emails which are marked as private they (the assistants) connot see these emails on their desktop outlook client - but when they access the delegated mailbox via outlook for android or ios (or on the web), they can see/view the private messages. what is the reason for that and how can i fix this? Compromised Account Concern
Hi, I've recently had my email account hacked which they then used to reset passwords of many of my other accounts. I have since recovered my email account and secured it with 2FA, new password and new alias as well as force sign out of all apps and devices option from within security settings. The concern I have is that when I go to my mail on the web, go to settings > general > mobile devices, From time to time a new device shows up as IOS 17.5.1 with no Phone number or Device IMEI. I have skimmed through my devices and I cannot identify this device, especially since I do not own an iphone or apple product altogether. I'm concerned about this because the status is OK with Access State: Access Granted. When I go to security > recent sign-ins, I only see attempts and successful sign-ins from my actual IP and devices. I've attached a screenshot of what of what I see. How is it possible for a device to still gain access even though I've enabled 2FA on my actual phone ? Or is this just being seen as coming from one of the outlook apps I use on my other 2 devices (laptop and PC) with misread information? What can I do about it ? If anyone has encountered this before, I'd appreciate some information as I'd like some peace of mind. The way it stands, I keep checking my account every hour around the clock and select Wipe all data as well as remove the device from the list when it does appear. But so far I've done this at least 4 times within 48 hours. Much Appreciated.Resolving duplicate sent emails in outlook on a Mac
Dear community, I'm trying to resolve the 'duplicate email in sent folder' challenge on a MacBook. I've Read the various suggestions including the guidance of: On the Tools menu, select Accounts… Choose the affected IMAP account and select the Advanced… button. Select the Folders tab Select the radio button Don’t store a copy of sent messages Choose OK But this isn't working as the 3 options after clicking on 'advanced' are Server, Delegates & Security (no sign of folders). Any ideas? Thank you!
