The New Outlook seems to have lost a feature

Does anyone know how to get a default set (like we used to have) to automatically get a BCC of all email sent and replied to?

I am using the client on my laptop and the IOS App on my iPhone. I am interested in knowing how to get this feature back.

It used to be a setting - which is no longer available. I've tried creating rules and quick steps - neither has worked.

  • Try making a rule that works for you, you can use the rules and select "From" and add yourself, then see if that helps.

  • I just made a rule and tested it, worked so far for me, but it's also bringing in 2 emails to the inbox. Are you sure you want that? I added a BCC rule but it didn't work. I'd play around with the rules to see if you can get the results you want. Here are my instructions.

Open New Outlook/hit the gears at the top right/go to Mail/then Rules. Add a new rule, here is one I made that I think should work for you. The incoming will forward the email back to you. I would not make a rule to move

But, I'm not on the to line - I'm the sender. In the previous version of Outlook there was the option to automatically CC yourself on all email sent. I use the flag for follow up feature. As I regularly delete my sent mail folder I am unsure how this would work without a persistent copy of the email in my saved folders.
