Microsoft Forms flagged phishing. No admin path to unblock Case #7084487321
Hello, I am a paying Microsoft 365 Family subscriber and recently created a Microsoft Form to coordinate a student outing. Unfortunately, the form was flagged as phishing because it included fields like “Name” and “Email.” The form is now completely blocked, and the “Collect Responses” button is disabled. I contacted Microsoft Support (Case #7084487321). The agents explained that: Personal/Family accounts cannot access the Admin Center → Health → Message Center, where flagged forms can normally be reviewed. Only a global or security administrator in an organizational (work/school) tenant can unblock flagged forms. As a Family subscriber, there is no escalation path to have a non-malicious form reviewed or released. This effectively means that Microsoft Forms is unusable for its basic purpose (collecting names/emails) under a Family subscription. I was transferred to Billing, who suggested I either cancel my subscription or “leave feedback.” My questions to the Forms/Product Team: Can you confirm whether this limitation is by design for personal/Family accounts? If so, why is this not made clear in Microsoft 365 Family product documentation or marketing materials? What recourse do paying Family subscribers have if Forms is blocked and there is no administrator to request review? I feel misled as a paying subscriber because a core feature is effectively disabled. I would like official clarification from Microsoft Forms engineering/product management, and guidance on whether Family subscribers should expect that Forms is not intended for collecting names/emails. Thank you for your time.fmlfmlAug 17, 2025Copper Contributor35Views0likes0CommentsThis form can't be distributed as it is asking for personal or sensitive information
Two issues, one with what the system flagged, and the second with how the system is not designed to help you correct the error. First Issue: It took me an hour of clicking in form fields and making minor text changes to get the system to momentarily clear the error and allow me to make a copy of the form for rough cut deletion of the offending section. That was a pain and part of what I will get into in part 2. When I finally had a copy I could work with, I deleted sections until I got to the question “EA Passes” with the subtext “how many Early Access Passes does your crew need”. This was the offending question. EA Passes. I changed it to EA Games, EA Medical, EA Social Security… these were all fine. But “EA Passes”. Flagged. This is not sensitive info, you may wish to have your system let that one go. Second Issue: and this is user satisfaction related. The system flags and makes the entire form unusable rather than flagging the individual question or phrase. Having a helpful popup showing what is flagged and making the form usable without this question would be wonderful! Especially considering the fact that the term flagged was not clear or even remotely sensitive in nature. Thank you for considering 1. The flagging of “EA Passes”, I changed this to Early Access Passes to get past it, and 2. Some help fixing/flagging the issue/phrase rather than dynamiting the form and forcing you to delete most if not all of your work to try to find the issue.CoachMay 06, 2025Copper Contributor86Views1like0CommentsAdjusting of questions in form & connecting responses to another workbook to sync answers
If i needed to adjust the questions in my form how will the previous answers be affected? I need to rearrange some of the questions in my form (for vehicle maintenance) if i move the location of the answer will it affect any previous answers? I also need to sync the workbook that the form responses go to on share point to our vehicle maintenance excel spreadsheet saved on Dropbox to a historical sheet. How can I connect the forms so when new responses are submitted, they will auto populate a copy of the response to our Dropbox excel workbook on the correct worksheet?48Views1like0CommentsQuiz scores and review scores are not equal. Why?
Hi maybe someone can help. Why is my actual test score 100% when I view my results, but if I check my score with the "review scores" option from admin screen, it only comes out to 67%.....? How do I get both to reflect 100%. I am looking to use the auto grade function. The drop down answers is not important as it's just gathering info. If I manually bump the score +1, that 67% won't increase (even with a refresh) to 100% but the answer gets a correct flag and I can see the "extra credit". This is very confusing for such a simple app. I get the same issue when I tried to use a branching question on another quiz. It's not being scored in one scenario (person doing the test so they get 100%), but in review scores, it's counted as a question and it comes across as a missed answer or something, so the percent is off. Thanks.SREASJan 22, 2025Copper Contributor59Views0likes0CommentsBranched answers not part of final score?
Hello. I have a quiz with a branched question. Depending on the answer outcome, the quiz will progress downwards and everything works. My issue is when the final score is tallied, this branched question is not being auto-graded so I am not receiving a 100% but only 95%. I have indicated any answer will be fine for this branched question since it's directional. So I'm looking for this question and answer to be bypassed during final scoring, or automatically include it as a correct answer as part of the final score. Currently, it's not being graded but counted as a question without an answer (I assume?)SREASJan 13, 2025Copper Contributor29Views0likes0CommentsCritical access issue with Microsoft Forms - Need help!
Hello everyone,I am facing a critical access issue with Microsoft Forms that has been ongoing for two weeks, and it is completely blocking the progress of my university project. Despite numerous attempts and checks on my end, I still cannot log in.Here are the steps I have already taken without success: Verified my login credentials Tried accessing from different browsers and devices Cleared my cache and cookies Checked the activation status of my account and permissions This situation is extremely frustrating as I have a crucial survey to submit for my project. Without access to this survey, I cannot move forward and risk compromising my academic work.If anyone has experienced a similar issue or has suggestions on how to resolve this, I would greatly appreciate your help! Additionally, if there’s any way to retrieve a copy of the survey I created so that I can at least use it offline, that would be incredibly helpful.Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide! I have followed directions from other users to set up an automated email with attachments and a custom email body, which seems to have worked except when it tries to complete one section. I cannot find the error. When I entered the 'json' it automatically corrected from "item" to "name" dynamic function and now won't run.LBSRCNov 08, 2024Copper Contributor38Views0likes0CommentsCategorized Pins
My organization just switched from Zoom to Teams. It has been a challenge after using a different platform for so long not to compare them. Teams could greatly improve by allowing users to categorize group pins. Currently, there are only two options in chat: Pinned and Recent. While these are helpful, I find that I need additional ways to organize my chats. I would like to have Pinned chats for frequent contacts and separate Pinned chats for various teams I am working with, which I could expand or minimize. Often, other users create groups without renaming them, leading to multiple chats with the same person, identified only by their name. If I had the ability to create my own categories for each pin, it would greatly simplify navigation.jessiejgNov 07, 2024Copper Contributor75Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Forms Spreadsheet not updating after Sensitivity Labels applied
We have created a Microsoft Form on a SharePoint site to collect sensitive data. Our security team wants us to implement an access control sensitivity label applied to the spreadsheet tied to the form data in the even it is accidentally shared. We created an access control sensitivity label scoped to the few members of the SharePoint site and applied it to the spreadsheet and have verified access is indeed blocked if spreadsheet is shared to anyone not allowed in the label. The problem occurs when new data is entered into the form: the spreadsheet no longer updates with new data. We can sync the data to a new spreadsheet and the new responses show up with the old. But again if we apply the label, no new form data is updated. How do we modify the label so that when applied to the form's spreadsheet, new data is allowed to be added?PugulousNov 02, 2024Copper Contributor114Views0likes0Comments
