MS Forms Feature Request - Options to Modify the "Hello" welcome statement
Hello, Our team has been using MS Forms to successfully deliver assessments to large online classes (1200+ students). Forms has provided our class with a significant amount of flexibility in data collection/processing and is the clear front runner for what we need to quickly/easily/reliably deliver our content. However, there is currently one aspect of Forms that is causing my team to reconsider its usage. The issue surrounds equity, diversity, and inclusion and how forms currently handles the welcome messages when the "record name" feature is turned on. This feature has to do with the ability (or lack there of) to adjust the welcome message that is displayed to folks on login to a form that is set to record name/email. For a user group of our size (1200+) we absolutely need to have the name/email of participants recorded. However, we have come to find that Forms is pulling the first name for folks from a system that we have been told, cannot be integrated with our existing systems to draw preferred names (like Teams and other Office 365 products can). While I understand that integrating a variety of systems to allow this to occur is no small task...I wondered if it would be possible to implement something into Forms in the meantime: Feature Request Options: 1. Would it be possible to add an option to record name/email, but give the form owner the option to NOT display the form welcome message? 2. Would it be possible to have the welcome message instead call up/display the "email" variable that has been recorded in the welcome message INSTEAD of Name? Either of these options would greatly improve our options for equity, diversity, and inclusion within our forms and class....and I'm hopeful that they would be more easily implemented on the short term. Again, we have been very pleased with forms and what it has been able to provide for our large class assessments/surveys but would GREATLY appreciate some flexibility in the welcome message to folks are not greeting with incorrect names. Copilot sidebar answers quiz
Dear Microsoft, Please help. Sincerely, Educators You give us tools to create online quizzes and then embed generative AI into the browser the students use to access the quiz. I asked it to answer the questions and after some throat-clearing, it proceeded to answer all of the questions. The futility of quizzes is one thing, but do these sidebar AIs allow leakage of private information out of our tenant? The quiz is only accessible to members of a team, but the sidebar is using my personal copilot account. If I had been looking at student grades via the teams web interface and asked the copilot sidebar to provide some insight on performance, would that private information have breached the boundary of our tenant?View "My Responses" don't display correctly
Hi all, There seems to be an issue in the response displayed when someone fills out a form with 5 stars and when they look at the response, it only shows 4 stars. It is recorded correctly in all the other places, it just displays incorrectly (4stars). see attached. I am not sure if this is a known issue. Has anyone else seen this problem? Thank you, -- Ray

MS Forms is very intuitive and esasy to handle, thats great! I made a long survey on sustainability topics to our members. Then I got feedback that in many cases more than one person in the adressed member companies have to work together according to their expertise... so they need the option to save the survey, send it to another colleague who can conitnue answering the question... Right now I have to look to alternative tools to fullfill this very important option. But I would prefer to continue my survey (where I already put more than one week of effort) in MS Forms. Is there already any timeline, when Mircrosoft will implement this function? Best regards from Germany Matthias
Microsoft Forms (Require Number in Text Field)
Hello Everyone, I'm sure this probably a really simple question but how do I get Microsoft Forms to require a number entered as a text answer? The reason i'm asking is because I want to make an order form for monitor replacement for my school district but i'm finding that since its a text box they can enter anything. I had 3 responses that had questions and notes tacked into them and want to limit that for the future. Thanks
