How to anonymise user file uploads in MS Forms

Hi, I've created a form to allow users to anonymously report IT incidents, but when someone uploads a file I'm getting an email from Sharepoint Online telling me the name of the user who's uploaded it. The red in the top right is the users name. The form itself doesn't tell me the username, that part of the anonymisation is working fine, it's just this bit related to file upload.

This kind of defeats the point of allowing anonymous reporting, and whilst the users wouldn't know, it is a breach of trust when we're trying to create a positive attitude to security.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I am Facing Microsoft form related issue, I can see when I am downloading a Excel copy some columns are blank. This is my survey form, and I cannot add manually however this will reflect manipulation in data, as this is technical glitch need assistant from your side on urgent basis

Disabling Copilot in Forms not possible

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this has been addressed before - I couldn’t find anything about it in this forum.

Since Copilot is now integrated into Microsoft Forms, there doesn’t seem to be any option to disable it (like in Word, Excel, Powerpoint). What I find frustrating is that every time I open a previously saved form, Copilot automatically runs checks and generates recommendations—which, in my experience, aren’t particularly useful.

More concerning is that this process does consume AI credits. I'm on a personal plan with 60 credits, I’d prefer to have control over how and when those are used, rather than having them spent automatically on features I didn’t explicitly choose to use.

Microsoft support has confirmed that there’s currently no way to turn Copilot off in Forms.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and isn't this something Microsoft should address?

How to remove deleted images that still appear in Bing via TSE cache?

Hello,

I am looking for help regarding images that were already removed from the original websites months ago, but they are still appearing in Bing search results.

I tried to request removal through the Bing Webmaster Tools, but I encountered the following message:

“We can only remove content if we have the URLs for the Source Page and matching Source Image where the content resides. We cannot remove content if we are provided with URLs containing www.bing.com or http://tse because these pertain to search results and are not the original location where the image resides. If this is what you are coming up with for the source image URL, you will need to go to your original query that brought up the image to find the correct source image URL.”

The problem is that I no longer have the original URLs of those images because they were deleted from the source websites months ago. The only URLs that still exist are Bing “tse” cached image links. The images themselves appear to be indexed and served directly through Bing, even though the original content no longer exists.

These images were removed a long time ago from the original pages, but they are still accessible through Bing search results. I am not sure what else I can do at this point.

Is there any email address for Microsoft support that I can contact directly? Or is there another process for removing images that are no longer hosted on the original websites but are still indexed or cached by Bing?

It is very important for me that these images are fully removed, as I do not want them to remain publicly accessible in search results.

The helpdesk has confirmed that I have an m365 family subscription. This would allow me to receive 1000 responses in Forms. However, when I log in to Forms with my details, only 200 answers are accepted. In addition, I get a "buy button" on the screen. In other words, Forms "thinks" that I have a free plan.

Who can solve this for me?

Bonjour,

J'ai réalisé 3 formulaires Forms sur Microsoft Forms d'un compte personnel Outlook. Les formulaires ont été distribués auprès de mes proches pendant 1 mois et demi (inscriptions pour un évènement).

Soudainement, mon compte Microsoft a été bloqué et les formulaires ne sont plus accessibles depuis le lien de partage.

J'ai récupéré mon compte Microsoft en changeant le mot de passe.

Les formulaires sont toujours sur l'application mais je n'ai plus aucunes statistiques et ai perdu toutes les données. De plus les liens de partage ne sont toujours pas fonctionnels et les formulaires impossibles à copier.

Comment puis-je récupérer les réponses et relancer le lien pour que mes proches puissent continuer d'y répondre ? J'ai demandé à l'assistance technique qui m'a redirigé ici.

Does Microsoft Forms meet the success criteria for WCAG 2.1 AA? In a previous post, I saw a Microsoft Representative stated he could navigate Microsoft Forms with JAWS in Firefox. Wondering if this includes proper aria labels to note the type of question, required responses, and handling error messaging. Are there any question types that pose trouble for those with visual, cognitive, or dexterity disabilities?

Create a person field in MS form to transfer to SP list

I am creating a MS form where I was wondering if there is a way to create a person field to search for people in my organization? I know I can use the record name function, but I need to guarantee anonymity.

If there is a way that would be great, otherwise I'll just ask the user to put in their Email, and load it into a person field in SP with power automate. ty

Hi,

I want to create forms to be used company wide.
We have locked Forms licensing down so that all staff cannot create forms, we want all data to be stored centrally and this way we know where all data is.

If I create a Form, it creates it under my account. I if leave the organisation, this may be lost.
What is the best way to create corporately used forms centrally?, i.e. not under an individual user account

Get email notification of each response to a specific mailbox

We use Business O365 and I have created a number of different forms for field staff relating to projects that we are working on. Ideally I would like notifications of some forms to go to a different mailbox to allow that team to action it. How do I add a different (shared) mailbox to receive these notifications without my account being removed as a collaborator?

Hello.

I currently need to read the number of responses in MS Forms at least once a day. But I can't find the appropriate Graph API. The Power Automate trigger option is not suitable because there are 200 forms, and then a separate flow would have to be created for each one.

I saw on the forum that Microsoft wrote about the release of such an API in the first half of this year. Has it been released?

Hi, I would like to send a form to be completed by a prospective client. I know a handful of the responses, that I would like to pre-fill for the form, and then send that same form to have them finish. Is this an option?

Opening Form through a non compliant browser looses full URL

When opening a Form on a non compliant browser - access is blocked and an option to Launch in Edge is suggested.

Once Launch in Edge is selected a full URL to exact Form is lost and general page opens:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/online-surveys-polls-quizzes

Other resources such as specific files on sharepoint - onedrive opens fine.

This is especially painful when Forms are being opened via QR.
QR Code > Camera > Default Browser > Block > Managed Browser > General Forms Page.

Does this sound like a design choice for Forms ?

Insights from Copilot have stopped working for us

We're all licensed (verified) with M365 Copilot, and for about the last week, one of our workhorse intake forms has stopped working with regards to the "Insights from Copilot" feature. When we attempt to refresh the insights, it presents the message, "Your form has XX responses. Copilot is analyzing the data to provide insights.", then spins for about 30 seconds, and then presents the error, "The insights haven't been generated successfully. Please try again."

We're syncing responses to an Excel workbook, and that seems fine, but after about a week these "insights" just started failing in this fashion. We've done basic troubleshooting like trying InPrivate browsing, cache clearing, and since we are only at about 100 responses for this particular small form we're not hitting any limits. Regardless, it's wedged stuck in this state. I reported it via the M365 Admin portal and received the usual "No issues found" reply. 🙄

Anyone else seeing this problem? Does anyone actually use this feature? 😜

Uploading documents to quizzes

I used to be able to upload a document to my Microsoft Forms quizzes. Now the upload button area is greyed out. I have tried to uncheck document types and change file size to get it to be accessible to click to upload but nothing I have done has worked. I looked online and checked my settings and they were all correct. I use a work account and this function worked previously but not work please advise.

I have a query regarding Microsoft Form:
For an example: I'm running a school, where 500+ students are enrolled.
To collect some details, we request each & every student to fill the MS Form.
My concern in MS Form:

There is a branching field in MS Form, if the student is new joined, then he/she has to fill the entire form manually. If the student is an existing student, then he/she has to enter the unique ID from the drop-down field, and the rest fields will automatically pop-up or field with the responses.
Once the student confirms that he/she is an existing student option, then they will get an option with the list of drop-down where they have to select their unique ID, and the moment they select the unique ID the remaining fields should automatically capture/display or pop-up the basic details which has been submitted earlier when they were the new joined.

I would like to know will it be possible to achieve the above via any means of source, such as React, Python, SPFx, web developing, Power-Automate, Power App or anything.

J'aimerais insérer une image en grand dans mon formulaire, mais lors du passage de l'image dans le formulaire la qualité est dégradée (pixellisée). Comment améliorer la qualité de l'image ?
