Windows Explorer Freezes as I open a Word Document from it
Hi, I use an Office 365 and from past few days I am noticing whenever I open a Word Document stored in a Folder. After the Word Document Opens the Folder becomes unresponsive. I have never seen it come back by itself. Usually I have to end task from task manager. Does not happen with other Office Products like Excel. Please advise.
Cumulative Update Error
Hello, I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 21H1, OS Build 19043.1288. Since about August, I have been running into problems with the monthly cumulative updates for Windows 10 (KB5007186) and .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 (KB5006365). Both are 2021-11 Cumulative Updates. Their status shows Pending restart. However, upon restart, the updates work to apply but they stop short of 25 percent and I get an error message that there was a problem and it shows that it undoing the updates. Earlier this fall, I just let it be and nothing changed. I was never able to install the updates. So in early November, I finally completely reformated my machine. I believe there is a software issue - but I can't seem to narrow it down. Here is why I say that - upon my first reformat, I installed all of my device software PRIOR to doing any Windows 10 updates after reinstalling windows. When I installed all of the software and then tried doing all of the Windows updates, I ran into the same error (although it was for like the 2021-10 Cumulative Updates for Windows 10 and .NET at that time. However, when I reformated a second time after running into that error again - I instead did all of the Windows Updates FIRST before installing my software and didn't run into any problems. This has been a real pain for the last 4-5 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In terms of any major software that I have installed on my device, I have Office 2016 and Adobe CS6 (sorry, I'm not paying any annual fee to ADOBE!!!). Part of me wonders if it could possibly be related to any of the old Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Software that is installed as part of those "older' programs. Is there a script to uninstall COM ports?
I would like to know if there is a script that can be used to uninstall COM port, because sometimes the port loses communication and I need to uninstall and restart the computer manually. Would it be possible to use this script in powershell with the task scheduling feature?
Space in D drive (Windows 10)
Fist of all, I'm not an IT expert but I'm doing my best to learn little by little as a basic user to get by and solve small problems. My D drive is BLOATNG UP with Windows Image Back Up Files at unbelievable speed, to the point that it has almost run out of space, and it's now in RED. There are also some other ALZip Back-up Files. I wonder if somebody can assist/give a helping hand here, please.? Thank you very much in advance
Drag&Drop on windows 10 Tablet in alle Browsers does not work
It is impossible to use Drag and drop in browsers when I use the touchscreen of my windows 10 convertible. The same happens on my windows 10 Tablet. is there any work around since without this function windows 10 for tablets is totally useless? who needs a tablet which obliges you to use a mouse to work with it.
21h2 support for wifi 6e 6ghz?
I am only finding articles on windows 10 from late 2020 saying insider preview or future build will have 6ghz support. What is the current status? I have asus ax11000 router, two win10 PCs with two different intel ax210 wifi6e cards(latest 22.90.0 drivers), and a pixel 6 phone. I just installed 21h2 version of windows 10. The phone see's and connects to 6ghz the two PC's only see 2.4 and 5 ghz.
