I'm having an issue with both my laptop and desktop pc's where holding down the control key won't let me select multiple words an any word processing application (ms word, wps, notepad, etc...). I can select multiple files on my desktop using the ctrl key, and in google docs I can select multiple words with this method. The problem seems to be just with word-processing software. Anyone have any suggestions? Hello I have noticed, for some time, that when I transfer files (SSD -> external HDD to USB3) the PC is rather slowed down. Pages in Chrome load very, very slowly (less slowly with Firefox). My processor is an i7 10700K, 32GB RAM. Usage through Task Manager is 13% for CPU, 40% memory and 18% for hard drive... Do you have a lead? This doesn't seem particularly normal to me...SolvedQuinnBaileyFeb 09, 2026Iron Contributor29Views0likes2CommentsAn unfamiliar woman's image appears on a Windows 10 blue screen?
An unfamiliar woman's image/photo (not the system's default blue screen style) appeared on the computer's blue screen of death (BSOD) interface, after which the system automatically rebooted and temporarily returned to normal. I am currently scanning with third-party software but am uncertain whether this image is a visual anomaly implanted by malware/viruses or a display corruption caused by driver or hardware failure. Need to assess the risk level and determine further steps for handling.SolvedEmmettBrooksFeb 03, 2026Iron Contributor118Views0likes3CommentsUnable to create restore point - Bitlocker 0x80310000
Running Windows 10 Pro 2H2 build 19045.6809 with extended support. Latest update 2 days ago. I tried to create a restore point and getting this message: "The restore point could not be created. This drive is locked by Bitlocker... must be unlocked from control panel 0x80310000. Perhaps coincidentally the new bug message is also showing at Control Panel > Bitlocker Drive Encryption --> "For your security some settings are managed by your system administrator". This is an independent home machine. I clicked to "Suspend (Bitlocker) Protection" and tried to create restore point again with no luck. I was expecting to input my Bitlocker password, but there is no option to do so. When I restart the PC, I have to input the Bitlocker password. How can I create a Restore Point?SolvedWanna_FixJan 20, 2026Copper Contributor73Views0likes2Comments2025-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5071546)

Hello everyone, I need help with something simple: what is the best Spotify downloader right now? I searched around, but every option looks very hit-or-miss. Some tools look outdated, some apps ask for money too fast, and some sites feel unsafe the moment I open them. I see people talk about a few desktop apps, and random web tools, but I still have no clue which spotify downloader actually works well. I hope to find something that does not feel shady, does not lower audio quality, and does not require a long setup process. If anyone here uses a solid tool for downloading Spotify tracks or playlists for offline use on other devices, please share your thoughts.SolvedKellanWarnerDec 08, 2025Iron Contributor6.5KViews1like12CommentsCan you download music from spotify to usb for listening on my car
Alright, so my car stereo is ancient and my only option is a USB port. I want to bump my Spotify playlists in there, but apparently you can't just drag and drop the files as it does not work at all. I know I'm not the only one who's tried to do this. What's the move here? I'm looking for the best way to download music from spotify to usb and slap them on my flash drive. I need a converter that doesn't look like it was made in 1998. Also, any pro-tips on the best format to use so my car actually reads the **bleep** thing would be a lifesaver. Thanks, folks.SolvedPhoenixAdlerNov 19, 2025Iron Contributor3.7KViews0likes8CommentsWin10 updates supposed to stop in October, just got one for November

I have been using Bootcamp to run Windows 10 on my MacBook Air for years and no problem with it. It comes with an Intel i5 CPU 3.6 GHZ, 256SSD and 8GB RAM. I think it is still powerful enough to run Windows 11. However, I couldn't find an option to for upgrade. I double checked the Windows Update section and the latest version available for install is Windows 10 22H2.
