How to disable startup programs in windows 10 launched automatically?
For no reason, my Windows 10 PC takes much longer to boot into desktop. It is a pretty old device with only 4GB of RAM. I saw a couple of apps running automatically after login. Is this the reason that causes the lagging issue? I don't know how to turn off auto startup apps. In addition, I spent sometime and tried to fix this by my own. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to disable startup programs in windows 10. If you know how to do this with a built-in option or third-party app, pls kindly let me know. Thank youZekeHawkhillJan 14, 2026Iron Contributor36Views0likes7CommentsWhat is the best way for disk cleanup on Windows 10?
Does Windows 10 have a built-in cleaner? I could not find it on my PC. The reason is that the system c drive is full and a disk cleanup is urgent to speed up the computer. However, I'm not very experienced with this and I'm unsure about the best and safest way to free up space. Could you please walk me through the most effective ways for disk cleanup on windows 10? I'm looking for methods that are safe for a beginner as I don't want to accidentally delete important system files. Any recommendations for trusted third-party disk cleanup tool would also be appreciated!ZekeHawkhillJan 14, 2026Iron Contributor51Views0likes7CommentsSimple way to remove or delete temporary files in Windows 10
My Windows 10 computer is running out of space and I've heard that temporary files are usually the cause. I'm not very tech-savvy and afraid of deleting something important that might break my computer. Is there a simple, safe way to clean these out? Is there any good point or method that can easily remove or delete temporary files in Windows 10? I don't want to mess with complicated settings. If someone could give me a very simple, beginner-friendly guide on where to click, I'd really appreciate it. I just want to make sure I don't lose my photos or documents by mistake. Thank you!AlabamaCrimsonJan 13, 2026Iron Contributor68Views0likes7CommentsHow can I upgrade windows 10 to 11 for free?
It is a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 Pro. I want to upgrade this device from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro 25H2. How can I do that? I tried doing this via Windows Update but the upgrade option is not available. Then I downloaded the Windows 11 ISO, mount it and run the steup.exe. It was just stuck at the getting Windows update and never proceed. Could someone share how to upgrade windows 10 to 11 for free? Hi, looking for some real-world advice here. My Windows 10 PC and Windows 11 laptop started to become sluggish, and storage space keeps shrinking for no clear reason. Temporary files, cache, and leftovers from old apps seem to pile up fast. There are so many PC clean up apps out there, and opinions are all over the place. Some claim big performance boosts, others look risky or too aggressive. Built-in Windows tools feel limited, so a third-party option sounds tempting. What is the best clean up app for PC on Windows 10 and Windows 11 that actually works nowadays? Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!HoldenStormJan 13, 2026Iron Contributor125Views0likes7CommentsHow can I clear browser cache from chrome?
Hello everyone, I have some issues with a few websites not loading correctly in Chrome, and I suspect it may be related to the browser cache. I know Chrome stores temporary files, but I’m not sure where to find the option to clear them properly. I tried looking through the settings menu, but the number of options is a bit confusing. I want to clear browse cache from chrome without removing saved passwords or important browsing data. Could someone explain the correct and safe way to clear browser cache in Chrome? Clear steps or tips from experienced users would be very helpful.PatrickRossJan 12, 2026Iron Contributor97Views0likes7CommentsWindows 10 virtual machine and host machine display an error message stating it cannot run.
The same application fails to run on both virtual machines and physical machines running Windows 10. It has been confirmed that the program functions normally on devices with other system versions. The system suddenly displayed an unsolicited prompt window. It is unclear whether this involves a security threat, a system error, or merely a harmless notification. It is necessary to determine whether immediate action is required and how to respond.BoboinJan 09, 2026Iron Contributor76Views0likes3CommentsHow can I clear or delete browsing history on Windows 10?
