Windows 10 version 1803 cannot be upgraded to 22H2.
The current system is Windows 10 version 1803, and routine updates have consistently failed. When attempting to upgrade to 22H2 using the “Windows 10 Easy Upgrade” tool, the tool gets stuck at the “Checking for updates” step, displaying the message: “Unable to determine if your PC is ready to continue installing Windows 10.” It is suspected that the update failure and upgrade blockage stem from the same root cause. Seeking a solution to bypass the check or repair the system to complete the upgrade.JosewJan 16, 2026Silver Contributor11Views0likes0CommentsWindows 10 Update Service “Enabled but Not Running”
The Windows Update service status shows as “Enabled” but is actually “Not Running,” preventing the system from checking for or installing updates. Additionally, the Microsoft Store app cannot be opened or loaded. Both issues occurring simultaneously suggest a potential anomaly in core system services or network configuration. Please provide troubleshooting steps to identify the correlation and resolve the problem.YhooumJan 16, 2026Iron Contributor12Views0likes0CommentsWindows 10 qmbrowser.exe reports error 0xc000007b

The new version of Notepad supports multiple file tabs, but I have two questions: How can I directly open and navigate to a specific tab (instead of always activating the latest tab)? Are tabs treated as separate files, meaning they can only be saved individually by manually dragging them to the desktop or another location?OlddiesJan 16, 2026Silver Contributor15Views0likes0CommentsHow to disable the default security features in Windows 10
Windows 10 enables a security feature by default that automatically “locks” functional files downloaded from the internet containing executable code. This requires manually “unlocking” the file in its properties before each run, which is extremely cumbersome. Please provide a method to permanently disable this feature.bonirlJan 15, 2026Bronze Contributor41Views0likes1CommentKostenlos Update Windows 10 auf 11 durchführen?
TPM, Sicherungsdateien)? Über Tipps wäre ich sehr dankbar! I heard a factory reset is not safe enough and the data can be recovered. Currently, I plan to sell my Windows 10 PC as well as a Windows 11 laptop. I am preparing to sell a personal computer and have encountered concerning information suggesting that a standard factory reset may not sufficiently protect my data. It is my understanding that residual information could remain recoverable, which poses a clear privacy risk. Therefore, I am seeking definitive, technically sound methods to completely wipe a pc for windows 10 and windows 11. I would greatly appreciate suggestion for reliable software or built-in utilities that perform secure erasure, alongside any pertinent steps for both solid-state and hard disk drives.CaliforniaGoldenJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor79Views0likes8CommentsHow can I transfer all my data from my old PC to my new PC?
I just built a new PC and have Windows 11 installed on it. Now, I want to transfer all data on my old Windows 10 PC to my new PC, including personal files, photos, documents, apps and system settings. This drive me crazy and really need a safe and fast way to transfer all my data from my old PC to my new PC. If you know how to do this, please let me know. P.S. There are more than 100GB files to be transferred, including some large files.EphraimjoJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor79Views0likes7CommentsHow to disable startup programs in windows 10 launched automatically?
For no reason, my Windows 10 PC takes much longer to boot into desktop. It is a pretty old device with only 4GB of RAM. I saw a couple of apps running automatically after login. Is this the reason that causes the lagging issue? I don't know how to turn off auto startup apps. In addition, I spent sometime and tried to fix this by my own. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to disable startup programs in windows 10. If you know how to do this with a built-in option or third-party app, pls kindly let me know.
