I don't know what to do. I can't reformat this laptop. I have a piece of software on it that is the only copy I have, & only works because I was logged in when they got rid of it and forced everyone to go with the newer version I don't want. Not to mention it has all of my info on it in offline mode. 1. I didn't realize the update affected my external HD which has all of my files on it until I tried to play some music & it kept spinning. Then I started to get a popup saying it needs to be formatted. OMG. I plugged it into my desktop that has Win 7 on it & it also wants me to reformat it. WHY??? What did Windows do to it? 2. I had to restart my laptop 5 times before the Open shell would load & it takes forever to load. 3. It broke my Thunderbird, but now I know why my emails never loaded, it's because it can't get access to my external HD. I can't believe this. I don't know what to do & no, I don't have a thumb drive with the restore point thingy on it. I needed that, didn't I? But how would that fix the external HD?Any free tool available to remove text from image or picture?
Hi, I have dozens of images where I need to cleanly remove some text from the pictures. The text is overlaid on a relatively simple background, but I'm struggling to get a good result without it looking obviously edited. I've tried a few basic online free tools, but they leave behind a blurry or mismatched patch. Could you please suggest the most effective method to remove text from image? My new monitor is 2560 x 1440 and for productivity reasons I like to be able to move my mouse cursor fully from side to side and top to bottom of the screen primarily with finger and wrist movement only. So my mouse cursor speed/sensitivity is set to maximum. The trade-off is it makes it harder to land the pointer accurately on extremely small target areas of the screen. For me, the only time this trade-off is too high is when trying to land on the very narrow edges of desktop windows so I can resize them on the fly. I’ve been living with this for months and finally got frustrated enough to take action. I couldn’t find any settings in “Windows Settings” or in Control Panel to change the width of the zones for grabbing the edges or corners. Let me know if I’m missing some setting somewhere! Searching the web was mostly a dead end until I found the following registry edit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics Double click on BorderWidth. (Mine was set at “-15” which I think ends up being only 1 or 2 pixels wide?) Change it to a larger negative number, close regedit and restart the computer to apply the change. After some testing, I settled on “-160”. The fiddle-factor to grab a window edge has been resolved. And, no, it didn’t change the visual thickness of the windows borders – only the width of the drag zones.What is the best ai image upscaler for enlarging low-resolution photos?
I have a box of old family photos I want to preserve. Many are small and quite blurry. When I try to make them bigger on my computer, they just look blocky and strange. A friend said some AI tools can fix this, but I feel lost with all the options. I want a program that is simple to use. ESU admin account
I have enrolled my Windows 10 for ESU by changing my account to administrator and non-local account. This synced by settings and I didn't need to backup my other files to Onedrive. My update screen confirms I'm enrolled so all good so far. My question is do I need to keep my account as an Administrator now that I am enrolled? I'm a little nervous about leaving it so, as I also have a separate local admin account for installng stuff, and prefer to keep permissions separate from day to day browsing. I can’t open the Download file in Windows 10. Using Windows 10 latest patches. I’ve tried to open the Download file and it hangs with “Not Responding.” I’ve waited for up to an hour with no change. I’ve rebooted and run DISM and SFC and used a system restore point. All with no success. I’m able to open all other files.I hate that AI is on every computer we have!
I have a very basic Windows 10 computer. Being retired, and getting old, I can’t afforf to upgrade to a newer Motherboard, CPU and memory RAM. Also a Window 11 laptop. Now, I get easily frustrated on all the household computers, because there has been AI stuck on them all. I I want to search for a video on YouTube, they think that I need multiple videos ( with any one of the words I typed into search), I want this AI crap off all our machines. Anyhow, every one thinks I am some kind of GURU. I just build the darn things, and don’t program them! I been searching for that Copilot guy on Windows 10, and I can’t find him, even when I follow the hints from Google too.
