Why is Win10 update 1803 so frickin slow? (Acer E5-553)
I have an Acer E5-553-T4PT laptop into which I've put in a Toshiba Q300 Pro SSD. The laptop had lots of driver issues where I thought the AMD-provided drivers would gel with WIndows 10, but actually only the OE drivers worked. I used to get screen blackout issues and random program crashes, especially in memory intensive programs. The most irritating part was the lag: every button I press on Windows caused a split second lag that drives me nuts, especially when considering that the hardware is more than enough to support the OS. Even loading webpages with only Chrome open is a lot slower. So I did what anyone would do and formatted my system. I'd use a system image that was created long ago, with the older display drivers and an older version of Windows. It ran flawlessly, and this time around even the updated OE drivers didn't cause issues. I looked around and my Windows Update was stuck; I re-ran the service and it updated to 1803, taking its time to do so. Now that damned lag is back and I don't know what to do. Any advice?Seriously consider moving to Linux
Used to test Linux in VM only (on SSD) for a long time. For the past week I finally install Q4OS Linux (TDE or KDE desktop) on SSD and use it as host machine. TDE -- Trinity Desktop Environment is XP like. Found it extremely smooth, no tons of crap processes running in the background as Windows 10. Virtual environment KVM is almost as good as VMwarre Workstation.Should I use Administrator account for everyday use?

Hello everyone, I frequently need to remove backgrounds from images for work, but my current process feels slow and inefficient. I need to speed up my workflow. Anyone has recommendations for the absolute quickest methods to remove background from image, whether it's a specific standalone tool, a website, or a technique within a program. This is one that's been eluding me, or maybe it's not possible. There should definitely be an ability to have the column headers (and therefore the columns) shown specific to either the folder or the folder type. There are generally, in my experience, literally scores of available columns that can be displayed and you can rearrange them, i.e. the order shown left to right. However, usually all you see are Name, Date Modified, Type, Size. Some folders contain files that beg for a much more varied and interesting set of columns. For instance, music files I want to see length. Length has no meaning for most files. I keep encountering this. To find Length in the list of available columns when there are like 100 available is a hassle and I don't want to keep having to add it. Plus there are a ton of other attributes I might want shown. What am I missing?Windows 10 failing to check for updates. any way to update manually?
Ranning some cab file that was supposed to fix things but all it does it make windows check for updates again, it tries for a while then goes back to a warning message about there not having been any updates installed for "some time". restarted win update service etc and no joy. when it came to the creators update there was a little exe you could run to update. is there no program like this i can run?

Not a tech savvy for image editing. The problem is that I have hundreds of photos are in low quality. Some of them are even blurred when pulling off from my old backup drive. I tried installing the "WinXP-PAE-Patch" and while it appeared to work, it causes my machine to BSOD with "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" after opening a few programs. I have run Memtest6+ and it passed 2 passes with 0 errors, plus Windows 10 ran fine, albeit slowly, on this machine. The problem I have is, without the PAE patch, Windows XP is only able to use 2.5GB of the 4GB RAM. Whereas the PAE Patch let me use all 3.75GB (as I have allocated to the X1200 in the BIOS). Is there a way of uninstalling this patch? There is no documentation for this and I can't find the supposed backup. I did try another PAE patch before this, and that kept causing a black screen instead of a BSOD. Thanks!I am looking for update files for the Korean version of Microsoft Windows 95/NT4
Windows Update Restored does not have update files for the Korean version of Win95 and NT4, and even Internet Archive only preserves some languages, including the English version. I was wondering if anyone has an update file for the Korean version of Win95/NT4.
