Frequent System Restarts When Plugging in External Devices
Despite trying different cables and ports, the problem persists, causing interruptions during work and data transfer, and I am looking for troubleshooting tips or solutions to prevent these unexpected restarts and ensure stable connections with external devices.
If the problem persists across systems, the issue might be with the devices themselves.

Windows 11's power-saving features are a common cause of unexpected disconnections.
Because the PC restarts when an external device is connected, treat this as a stop error, driver fault, or hardware issue rather than a cable problem. First, disconnect nonessential devices, restart, and test one device at a time on the PC without a hub. Note whether one device or type always triggers the restart. Install all Windows updates, then check Device Manager for warning icons under the device category and Universal Serial Bus controllers. Update the affected driver; if this began after an update, use Roll Back Driver, or uninstall the device and restart so Windows reinstalls it. Next, open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System and inspect the failure time for BugCheck, WHEA, or Kernel-Power events. Record any stop code and dump path. If the same device restarts another computer, replace it. If devices trigger only this PC, contact its manufacturer for chipset, USB, BIOS, and hardware diagnostics.
