New Outlook not playing new email sound or sending notifications.
I'm using the New Outlook and it's not playing the new email sound and not displaying notifications for new emails. If I switch to the Classic Outlook it plays the sound and sends a notification. I have checked all the sound and notification settings, all updates are installed and I'm running the latest version. Hi there, We are a hybrid Office 365 (desktop apps, intune, defender) and Google workspace (emails, files, calling). we have been using Google outlook (GWSMO) for years and it has always been problematic. late in 2024 we were happy that classic outlook can connect to gmail using oauth2 natively without using the addin, but calendar synch and contacts synch did not exist. Earlier this year we were happy that the new outlook has solved this problem and started to migrate our users to the new outlook from may 2025. Really happy about that. Our outlook version currently is: Microsoft Outlook Version: 1.2025.806.300 (Production) Client Version: 20250822005.29 WebView2 Version: 139.0.3405.125 What we have been noticing recently is that some users are getting delayed emails that can be a couple of hours. We have also noticed that when toggling offline mode to off (or on) they are getting delivery errors saying it cannot be delivered. after a few attempts it goes through but a draft copy stays in the outbox. Outlook can't receive emails except after restart
I'm using Outlook 2016 on Windows 11. I have three IMAP email accounts, all through AOL. When I click Send/Receive, Outlook successfully does sends on all three accounts, and receives on two of the three, but then hangs without receiving the emails from the third account. If I switch to a different email account, this triggers a synchronization. If I then switch back to the problem account, there is no synchronization. However, if I then restart Outlook and do another Send/Receive, sends and receives work for all three accounts. This means that every time I want to check for emails from my third email account, I have to first restart Outlook. Although I may have noticed this issue on very rare occasions over the last year or so, it didn't start happening consistently until August 29, 2025. Now it happens almost every time. Out of well over a dozen tries, it has only not happened twice. (That is, there were two occasions when the emails were received correctly without a restart.)Mass emails
Good afternoon, I help manage an organization for Special Needs Children and Adults. We sponsor adapted Sports activities as a way to build relationships, teach teamwork, and self-esteem. I set up a separate email for the group from which I am attempting to send group emails. These emails go to anywhere from 50 to 250 users. I manage the list outside of Outlook: I create character strings of email addresses using excel and paste them into the BCC: line in Outlook. I am using the new Outlook. Recently, that user (an outlook.com user) is blocked frequently and I have to go in and revalidate it. The message I get says I am violating the usage rules, but it does not tell me how. I was going to look at a CRM system, but that adds a ton of baggage: all is want to do is send emails. Does anyone have any ideas for how to accomplish what I am trying to do? I have names and addresses in an excel file and if I knew how I could do a mass import into Outlook. I would do that if it would fix the problem. I would appreciate any input. Anyone else hate the New Desktop Outlook?.
Hello people I was wondering if anyone else Hated the Desktop version of Outlook?. To me its slower and unresponsive compared to previous versions. Even Windows Mail was faster and the brings up old email accounts that you deleted and no longer use long ago. It seems while good intentions this one has not been tested properly. Just shoved out the door. And lastly trying to find Emails that your sent or received is another nightmare. You have to restart twice before it finally decides oh look there emails.
Outlook for Mac: New Events have an email signature
Microsoft Outlook for Mac Version 16.100.2 (25082415) For some unknown reason - when I create a new event, my signature is added to the event. This only happens when using the New Editor - but it's incredibly frustrating. I have the Zoom add-in which auto adds a Zoom meeting to all events and then adds the details both into the location and the event body. Due to this bug, I have to: Type the email subject Go into the body and delete my signature Add the "required people" for the event This then triggers Zoom to create a Zoom meeting and add the details to the location/body If I don't do this, the Zoom details get added underneath my signature. Please stop this unnecessary pain and give the New Editor context of whether it is inside an email or a calendar event.

Our company's CRM doesn't allow dragging emails directly from Outlook into case notes, so I have to save every email to my computer and then drag it into the case note. Problem: New Outlook seems to save everything as an eml file which the CRM doesn't recognise as a thing. I can't figure out how to save an email except by choosing print, pdf, and half a dozen clicks to get it onto my computer where I can then drag it. This loses access to any attachments that were with the original email so is not satisfactory. Any ideas? I have tried numerous times to install the outlook mobile app. i have uninstalled & reinstalled it numerous times i even broke down and went to a brick & mortar tech support store to no avail i had the app on a previous phone and just purchased a Samsung S24 Ultra. it recognizes my email address but when it tries to install I get this message: "an error occurred during authentication. please try again" i would love to have the convenience of the mobile app. i have outlook on my laptop.Setting up rules, the subject line changes
Hi, I'm trying to set up a rule for invoices to forward to a specific place however, generally the subject line comes through as "Invoice 123456 from The Suppliers Name here" I can't shorted the subject line in the rule to invoice as that isn't specific enough and I can't shorten it to the suppliers name as that would include emails that aren't invoice related, but as the invoice number changes each time I'm unable to use the subject line as is. Can anything replace the number, but keep the complete subject line intact, such as; "Invoice !!! from The Suppliers Name here" and the code advises the system that any number can be here in the middle of the subject title. Help - Migrating Emails from Outlook Web to Outlook Desktop | Two Different Domains
I have two business email addresses I would like to consolidate into one. The "old" email address is only accessible via Outlook on the Web. The "new" email address is only accessible via Outlook on my desktop. Is there a way I can export all of my emails and subfolders from my old email address (outlook on the web) and export them into my new email address (outlook on my desktop)? From what I can see, there isn't a File>Import/Export option on the Outlook web interface. I have already set up mail forwarding for future emails. Really would like to fully migrate to the new email address inbox without having to hop back to the old email address inbox to reference something. Thanks in advance! Ryan
Cant move emails to pst files
A few months ago New Outlook added support for pst files making it possible to drag emails from IMAP inboxes into pst . This worked fine for a while but this week it has stopped working, now if I try to move an email to pst it just bounces back to the inbox where it was originally stored. I can still move emails between my different IMAP accounts but no lonker to pst. Has anyone else encountered the same issue and found a solution?Finding out email address from recovery email

I have a few users complaining about Outlook Classic just recently not showing the latest files saved to the computer. Users are creating PDF's from our ERP system and saving them to the desktop. When they open a new email, and click on 'Attach File' the new PDF file is not showing up and the users have to search for it in order to add it to the email. This issue appears to have just started in the past few weeks. Hi, I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue for 4 months now. I have become aware that since at least May, 2025, there are some emails which are not making it to my mailbox (neither by inbox or even my junk), Outlook is preventing them from being delivered (or perhaps deleting them before they show up to my mailbox). I have tried changing my Junk email settings, I have tried adding senders who have sent me email (e.g. verification codes from travel booking sites) to my safe senders list or contacts list but nothing is working. On one of my PCs Outlook Classic will not find any new emails when first opened, unless a different folder is selected and the Inbox gone back to. A Send/Receive does happen, but no new emails are found! All my other PCs work correctly. How can this be fixed. I have no Add-ins installed, and have removed and re-setup all email accounts, etc. Including 'Repair' of Outlook, as well as uninstalling Office 365 and reinstalling... I have Outlook 2013 Standalone Outlook and have multiple updates but unable to add emails in Outlook. When tried to install Outlook prompt to uninstall Office 365 but I see nothing installed on the device. Facings same issue on 2 other Windows user profile. Need help.
