Solution To Disable the MS List Experience in SharePoint?
Has anyone identified a way to disable the Microsoft List UI that is now rolling out in SharePoint Lists directly? To clarify, SharePoint Lists hosted on SharePoint sites and accessed from SharePoint in my tenant have recently changed to the MS List UI. I am wondering if anyone has found a solution to revert the UI to the old "modern" UI (and not the classic UI). TYIA1.3KViews0likes1CommentCan My Employer View My Microsoft Teams Chat History?
https://youtu.be/GL360ot95YE I read an article in the news last week about a viral TikTok video that was urging people to be careful what they share with colleagues in Teams chat because employers can see all chat messages and chat history. As a result, I decided to create a video answering the question: Can your employer view your Microsoft Teams chat history? Spoiler alert: the answer is Yes. However, as I explain in the video, this capability is typically only used when an employer has a reason to use it and more often than not these reasons tend to be extraordinary (i.e. Investigations of unethical behaviour, whistleblower complaints, allegations or harassment or other). Further, I also explain the types of controls and processes that are put in place to govern this capability and ensure its not misused. Lastly, in the latter part of the video I also demonstrate how an employer can view your chat history as its nowhere near as simple as "pull up someone's instance of Microsoft Teams and look through there chats".- 1.7KViews0likes0Comments
Tutorial: SharePoint News For Email
Microsoft recently added an amazing new feature to SharePoint called "https://youtu.be/KmfwLMUncoQ". This feature allows you to effortlessly create SharePoint Online news posts and distribute them via email directly from SharePoint. When sharing these news posts via email, they are automatically optimized for viewing on different devices. The best part of this new feature in my opinion is that views from the news post email actually contribute to the post analytics. This feature finally provides enterprises with a lightweight email marketing solution. To learn how to use this feature check out the tutorial https://youtu.be/KmfwLMUncoQ.1.9KViews1like3CommentsTutorial: Export Microsoft Planner Comments
This https://youtu.be/1W3gi-HWuNA will demonstrate how to export Microsoft Planner comments. Specifically, it will demonstrate how to export MS Planner task comments using Microsoft Graph explorer. Microsoft Graph explorer allows you to make API calls to various Microsoft 365 apps and services. Note that unfortunately, you can only export one MS Planner comment at a time and also that the comments will be wrapped in HTML markup. This https://youtu.be/xMWDU2vIFTA will demonstrate where are MS Form attachments stored. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't easily use Tidy the ms forms file upload location directly on the MS Forms user interface. The answer is that MS form attachments are stored in Microsoft Onedrive of the author of the form. This MS form tutorial also outlines an important note about sharing access to the Microsoft Form attachments. This https://youtu.be/0PqaJPRPTFI will demonstrate how to integrate the Microsoft Milestones app with Microsoft Planner. To integrate in this context means to connect the Milestones App with Microsoft Planner so that when a new work item is created, it automatically creates a task in a planner board and bucket of your choice. Note that this tutorial does not leverage Power Automate but rather just adds the MS Planner connector to the Milestone app and invokes the MS Planner create task action when the create new work item button is selected. This https://youtu.be/VXivJSxImbs will demonstrate how to export a Microsoft Planner task list to Excel. This can be done from the Microsoft Planner web app with a few simple clicks. Note there are some limitations when exporting planner tasks to Excel. One notable limitation is that comments on the task will not be included in the export. This https://youtu.be/ShtD9hMXqNc will demonstrate how you can set SharePoint to open files in the respective desktop applications by default. To set SharePoint to open in desktop app by default means that when opening Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel files that are stored in SharePoint, they will automatically open in the respective desktop app. This tutorial is seeking to answer the question: how to open SharePoint files in desktop app by default. Note that this cannot be extended to PDFs unfortunately. Check it out https://youtu.be/ShtD9hMXqNc.17KViews0likes0CommentsTutorial: Display Work From Home In Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft recently implemented the https://youtu.be/ZInJJSHXdP8 in Microsoft Outlook. This physical work location allows you to display Microsoft Outlook calendar work from home status. This https://youtu.be/ZInJJSHXdP8 will demonstrate how to show working from home in Microsoft Outlook. With this feature, you can set your work location per day and you can also choose to expose your status to colleagues. If this option is set, when users are using the Microsoft Outlook scheduling assistant to schedule meetings with you, they will be able to see an icon that displays whether you’re working from the office or remotely. Did you know that you can finally display your https://youtu.be/Do93hgGKVqA! 🤯 That's right, with this new feature you can easily display to your colleagues whether you are working from the office or remotely. This feature is available on Microsoft Teams desktop, the web app and even on the mobile app and it is likely that this feature will synchronize in some form with a similar feature that was recently added to Microsoft Outlook. Users are unable to annotate on a PDF that is stored in a SharePoint Online document library. When they annotate on a PDF using Microsoft Edge and click save, they are prompted to select the save location in the file explorer (instead of just being able to click “save”) and confirm the changes to the file. The featured covered in this video, (https://youtu.be/hU_tYDKJsME) does not seem to be available to our users. Specifically, the "Annotate" button does not display for any user within our environment. The use case for this is that our users need to mark up specific content in PDFs with text, notes, drawings etc. In the current state, users open the file that is hosted in a SharePoint document library, annotate on it using Microsoft Edge and then when they click save, they have to select the save location. They've been instructed to sync the library so they can access it in the File Explorer but, when they click save, it doesn't automatically open the library for which the file is stored in the File Explorer. The users have to navigate back to the file destination which is sub-optimal.Solved4.2KViews0likes2CommentsTutorial: Create A Microsoft Planner Task When A Microsoft Form Response Is Submitted
This https://youtu.be/SMDavCgg3FM will demonstrate how to create a new planner task every time a new Microsoft Forms response is submitted. The approach outlined in this https://youtu.be/SMDavCgg3FM will leverage a Microsoft Power Automate workflow that takes the details from the Microsoft Form response and passes the information into a newly created planner task. The tutorial will start by demonstrating how to create a basic Microsoft Form and then will demonstrate how to create the workflow. The tutorial will also demonstrate how to conditionally create Microsoft Planner Task in different boards depending on the value selected in a choice type field in the form. For example, if response one is selected at drop down question one, then create a task in board one. If response two is selected at drop down question one, then create a task in board two. I am curious to learn what you might be using this workflow approach for. Please feel free to comment below! I believe you can click into the Manage tab and update the "update request" to push to the delegated user OR you can copy a link to the update and provided it to the delegated user. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is an out of the box formal delegation capability with this app.5.5KViews0likes0Comments
