MS form unresponsive
hi there I have an MS forms survey's collect-responses page that keeps on being unresponsive facts abt the form: we use Microsoft 365 the form is created in sharepoint - our site - document - new - forms survey, so it auto updates its connected Excel the form's questions include pictures, subtitles; answer includes choices, free text, text restricted to URL formats symptoms: the unresponsiveness can happen when opening the link (blank page with loading sign), or trying to fill in text after loading the collect-responses page (the first answer is restricted to URL format) it happens in normal window (and after clearing cache) and incognito window, in chrome and in edge it happens to more than 1 person, more than 1 day it happens in the past few weeks, not before that what could be the cause and how to resolve it? I really appreciate any help you can provide.SolvedScarlettDec 25, 2024Copper Contributor35Views0likes2CommentsMS Forms Mandatory and Branching Issues
Hello, our group is using MS Forms for internal reporting. We started this process about 3 months ago. We have a team of over 200 individuals who use this weekly. Our form has 60-70 questions the majority of the questions are mandatory, and there is quite a bit of branching because we have separate focus areas. Currently, we have over 1,000 responses in our repository. In the last couple of weeks, we have had 3-4 different individuals experiencing the same issue where they have answered a mandatory question, but the MS Forms will not let them proceed even though they provided the required response. They do not get stopped at the same question, but the question they get stopped on is a mandatory response question. The only workaround we have found that works is to have them clear the form and then remove their save link to the MS Form and re-access the form via the original link that was sent out. We understand this isn’t the original intention for this tool, but we are trying to use it as a workaround solution until next year. My question is this, is there a known issue with MS Forms regarding mandatory and/or branching questions? Would it help to remove the mandatory and or the branching to stop this from occurring?khayseDec 24, 2024Copper Contributor37Views0likes2CommentsExcel Does Not Sync Until Opened
I created a form linked to an Excel spreadsheet in SharePoint as well as a Power Automate approval flow triggered on submission. In addition to sending out confirmation/approval emails, the flow also updates the associated Excel spreadsheet with the approval/denial. The flow was working fine until last week but since then has failed 2 consecutive times. The failures appear to be related to the flow unable to find the automatically generated submission ID in the Excel spreadsheet. When I open the linked spreadsheet, the submission is not immediately present at first but the file does sync at that point and the entry appears. When re-triggered after the sync, the flow completes successfully. Not sure if it is related, but MS form/linked spreadsheets have been updated by Microsoft recently and I was prompted to go through an update process for synced Excel spreadsheets. I completed the update with this specific form last week after the flow failed for the first time. TLDR - my form only syncs with the spreadsheet once opened. Any ideas how to get MS Forms to update the spreadsheet in real-time as opposed to when it is opened?TBrockTROCDec 23, 2024Copper Contributor21Views0likes0CommentsRoom Configurator hardware list using Forms & Excel
I am looking to create a questionnaire in Forms that asks some set questions that based on the answers would equal products and prices from an excel document. I would like to find out from all you clever people if ‘A’ its possible using just Excel & Forms and ‘B’ if it is, some guidance on how I may go about creating it. Example; What size is your meeting room? MS Forms response - 5m x 3m How many seats around your table? MS Forms response - 10 Do you want video conferencing? MS Forms response - Yes Do you connect via a laptop? MS Forms response - yes Based on the above would then look at a spreadsheet and see that the room size equalled 15m2 would then list a 55” TV with a ‘Micro-tech’ Camera cables to connect a laptop at the table and a cost breakdown of each item based on an equipment list in an excel spreadsheet. Wanting to keep the setup as simple as possible so anyone in the team could pick, so any advice would be most gratefulSomerset_ChapDec 22, 2024Copper Contributor34Views0likes2CommentsIssue: Mouse clicking can select wrong answers
Hi, I just completed an exam on Microsoft Forms and noticed that it was very easy to accidentally click the wrong answer, and one of my answers was marked wrong as a result. How does it happen? The current implementation allows users to click the whole line rather than just the radio button or checkboxes. Since I sometime click inadvertently on the screen, it will change my answer to the wrong one even if I didn't intend to click an answer. If you only allow clicking on the radio button or checkbox instead of the full line, this wouldn't happen. Thanks!37Views0likes1CommentAssign an email adress on an option in MS Form
Hi. New here. I just started using MS Form and Workflow to automate requesting study for new projects. I made a form where you will type in project name, location, system to use, etc. Two of the options in this form are the names of the Salesman and the Draftsman that will do the project that the salesman will assign to. My problem is that upon completion of the form, workflow has the flow of: when a new respose is submitted -> Get response -> Create a task in planner -> Send an email. For the create task, I want the draftsman that will be picked in the form will be the one assigned in the planner including the salesman who filled up the form. Next is sending a custom email, with dynamic content highlighting the response on the form and sending that email to the draftsman that the salesman picked in the MS Form. Is it possible to have this kind of flow? If yes, please shed some light on how I can accomplish this. I've created a FORM that has a number of questions, including the option for a user to add an attachment. Then via FLOW all answers to the questions are getting added to a Sharepoint List. Everything is working great except the attachments are not getting stored. 1. What are the steps to enable the attachment a user provides in the FORM to get added to a Sharepoint list via FLOW? 2. How do I add an Attachment column in Sharepoint List (maybe this is part of my issue) Any other thoughts? Thanks for the help.113KViews1like25CommentsSharing Microsoft Form to external users
In settings the only options I have is: 1) 'Anyone can respond' - this is too open as the information is sensitive 2) 'Only people in my organisation can respond' - this is not suitable as the user we need to share with are external 3) 'Specific people in my organistation can respond' Microsoft support have advised the following previously: On theSettingspage, under theServicestab, clickMicrosoft Forms HoweverOn theSettingspage, under theServicestab, Microsoft Forms is missing. I'm aware we can export the insights as excel, or print to PDF, but we would really like to have the Present Mode as slides, but once in this mode, there appears to be no way of exporting or saving it. Is this going to change at all, or am I missing a setting/process? We can insert the form into PowerPoint, but this is a live form, and we need the Present Mode view as standard PowerPoint slides.Jester67Dec 13, 2024Copper Contributor30Views0likes2CommentsLate response in MS Teams Forms
I took my exam last night in MS Teams Forms. It was set to end at 9PM but has a time limit of 3 hours. I opened it at around 8:30PM and ended at around 9:30 or 10:00PM. I had an hour or two before the end of the time limit. My problem is, my professor cannot see my answers and I checked the save a copy checkbox before I submitted my answers but I do not know where to find it. All I have is the session ID (a82368ea-6fd7-4859-9158-1d6637cedd8c) and the correlation ID (ab5760f3-e150-43bc-941c-dea10452023f). Please help me recover my answers.RylMontsDec 11, 2024Copper Contributor41Views0likes1Comment
