Uploaded photos to OneDrive not showing location
Not sure if I'm in the right place but I have uploaded my photos from iphone to onedrive and then deleted them. I now realise that the location is not shown when opening OneDrive on my phone. If I look at OneDrive on my computer the information is there although not on every photo. Can anyone help please?2Views0likes0CommentsGuest link sharing has stopped working in the OneDrive 5tb business.
Guest link sharing has stopped working in the OneDrive 5tb business. I give all the permissions. (Share with everyone. No login required) I create a link to a folder or file.Friends and acquaintances are trying to open the link. But. They write: Access is prohibited. You do not have permissions to access this resource. And they require you to log in with an account. And you can't log in with a regular account. This is necessary for everyone to whom I give the link, in addition, I also need to give my admin username and password. So that you can open it on your computer. It's absurd!17Views0likes1CommentWhat kind of problem has appeared? I can't share files with my friends using the created link.
OneDrive is a 5tb disk. What kind of problem has appeared? I have no one to share my files with, especially with my friends using the link I created. Friends are not members of the organization. Ordinary ordinary users.44Views0likes1CommentOneDrive disk 5tb- guest link sharing has stopped working.
Hello. I've been using it for so long and everything worked fine, it worked flawlessly. Now, in a 5TB OneDrive drive, the other day, guest link sharing stopped working. I give all the permissions. And they require you to log in with an account.25Views0likes0CommentsCongratulations, Microsoft products couldn't have been worse even if you tried.
I was thinking why should I bother posting about this, who would read it, and would it make Microsoft any better if someone reads this? But the world would never improve if no one reports this kind of bad design. So here we go. Why make it so hard to sign up for Azure, register an app, set up permissions, register an app in the MDN (whatever the F it stands for), just to be able to connect to build an ETL job that pulls from multi-tenant onedrive. Why so much text everywhere that it becomes unreasonable to read and find information that matters. Why pretend you have an AI called Copilot when it doesn't have access to data and all it does is spit back information from the docs. How to fix this? Put yourself in the shoes of someone new who's integrating Microsoft products for the first time. No assumptions. No required prior knowledge. Less text, straight to the point. No weird error messages with complicated Error IDs. If no one understands them, why bother bloat the limited screen space with it? Why not have an actual AI that can give concrete pointers instead of showing a link to a generic documentation page? This could go on, but I'm gonna practice what I preach and get straight to the point with the suggestions above. The only moat Microsoft has is the heavy corporate contracts that bind stupid corporations to use Microsoft products and services. The moment a new provider with simpler/faster/cheaper services shows up, developers and people working day-to-day with Microsoft services will gladly migrate over. My 2-cent bottle in the sea.29Views0likes0CommentsCan't connect to OneDrive from my PC!
Hi there, I've had issues recently with connecting and syncing OneDrive on my PC so I contacted the Microsoft support service and they recommended I uninstall then reinstall the OneDrive app but since then I can't connect at all! I keep receiving the 0x8004de40 error message. FYI: I use an Ethernet connection on a private/home network (fiber optic), I have Windows 11 (up to date), on a desktop PC. I tried in WiFi but I get the same message. Using the inetcpl.cplI command, I also made sure only TLS 1.2 and 1.3 were ticked (as recommended by Microsoft support). Bizarrely OneDrive works fine on my laptop connected in WiFi to the same network... Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help as I'm at the end of my tether here! 🙃43Views0likes1CommentCan't stop sharing folder (no stop sharing option)
Want to stop sharing a folder, but under -manage access. I only see "share" and the folder is already shared with family and one other person. "Stop sharing" is nowhere to be seen. Why can't I stop sharing this folder? Another bug in Microsoft system again? Cheers Mags12Views0likes0CommentsUploaded files are nowhere to be found
Greetings I installed OneDrive on my computer and changed the default location. I then uploaded 11GB of data by copying and pasting into the OneDrive folder. The copy was successful. When I click on the OneDrive folder the files are there. The issue is that I can't find the newly uploaded files in office 365 OneDrive site under My Files or any other place. Where is the default location of the uploaded files in office 365 OneDrive site? I also checked Sharepoint but still can't find the files. Is there a way to find my 11GB files on Office 365 OneDrive site?17Views0likes0CommentsCan find the copied files
Greetings, I downloaded and installed OneDrive and all went well. We have a office365 Business account which I have an account. After the OneDrive install and authentication, I didn't like the default location of the OneDrive folder on my machine so I unlinked OneDrive and changed the default location from c:\users\administrator to d: in some directory. I then copied 11GB data from one folder to the new location of OneDrive (120K+ files). The speed was amazing! But now when I go to my work office365 cloud site, I can't find those files. I looked in OneDrive and SharePoint but they are nowhere to be found. My local machine OneDrive directory still shows those files in it so they must be in the cloud somewhere. Any ideas where I should look for the files that I uploaded on the office365 cloud site?9Views0likes0CommentsCVE-2024-12797 Openssl High Vulnerability
Hello Microsoft, I´d like to know if there is any status update to address the issue of the CVE-2024-12797 link https://openssl-library.org/news/secadv/20250211.txt since it is being considered as high vulnerability. I use Onedrive for Business version 25.065.0406.0002 which is the latest but according to my Microsoft Vulnerability Management Report, the CVE is not addressed yet. Any update is highly appreciated. Is it just me, but is anyone else having missing files when downloading a folder of any sort? I've been trying to download my OneDrive for an offline backup. However, keep on getting zip files with files missing, and the last file is always corrupted. It doesn't happen all the time, but is guarenteed when a folder has many (more than 50) files or you're running multiple downloads in parallel. Short of downloading all files one by one, is there any solutions to this? Or how do I report a bug? --------------------------- I also can't use the OneDrive app as I'm not using Windows, and the app keeps on getting into a corrupted state (on my Windows device) and for some reason always fails to completely sync my files even though it says it's up to date. (There'll be a few files here and there that will have 0x8007016A: The Cloud File Provider Is Not Running or it'll try to open but then stick at arbitary points during the transfer and never complete)18Views0likes0CommentsExternal Sharing in OneDrive and SharePoint
Hello, some users have external sharing permissions. I need to create a rule and policy to track which files they are sharing and with whom. I checked via Purview, an alert came through, but I can't see who the files were shared with, and the main issue is that those users don't have external sharing permissions. We have checked many ways but could not understand what we need to do.39Views0likes0Comments3 file limit error in Personal Vault in spite of 1TB family subscription
I am having issues with my Personal Vault on One Drive. Its giving me error that I have hit 3 files limit in the Personal Vault on One Drive. In order to use more than 3 files , I have to upgrade to a 1TB plan. I am already a part of the Family Subscription and have 1 TB of space. I have just used 46GB of 1TB. Support is barely able to help me. Best they could do was tell me to logout and login. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my One Drive, and after setting up the Personal Vault, I am seeing the same issue. On 1TB , I can save as many files on Vault but I cant do for some reason now. It was working fine for last so many years but just today it broke after I edited and saved a file. Family subscription with 1TB allows unlimited files on Personal vault but basic plan allows only 3 files. Please help if anyone has a solution.137Views0likes2CommentsShare a single folder with multiple viewers

Hello, I’m having an issue with OneDrive. It has been stuck on "Processing changes" for a very long time — it says it's processing 1,000,000 changes. I left my PC running for 24 hours to let it finish, but it’s still not done. What’s confusing is that some folders show the sync icon (as if they are still syncing), even though all the files inside are already marked with green checkmarks (fully synced). When I tried clicking "Pause syncing for 2 hours", the OneDrive app froze completely. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: I looked up solutions for OneDrive stuck on Processing changes, but nothing worked. I tried resetting OneDrive — but when the app reopens, it just freezes again. Interestingly, my other PC using the same OneDrive account is working perfectly fine — it doesn't show any "Processing changes" message at all. I’ve also stopped editing or saving any new files to OneDrive just in case. Could you please help me figure out what’s going wrong?390Views1like2CommentsOneDrive for all my user profiles
When I got my new surface pro I went to set it up as recommended by some articles. First set up a user admin account. And also set up a standard user account for my daily access. Supposedly that was to facilitate security concerns. Well now I see that the Onedrive access from the two accounts are different. Headman account accesses all of my 4 gigabytes of Onedrive. But my standard user account seems to only access a small portion of my OneDrive. This is not convenient because the reason I use a Onedrive is to share files when I am signed in on my various but separate computers. I have tried to figure out how to configure but cannot make it happen. As a sideline, I do not use OneDrive to back up any of my main computers. I only use Onedrive to make files and folders accessible to all my various computers when I am signed in.62Views0likes2CommentsFile close event

Hi everyone! I've been using OneDrive Photos for a while and I was wondering if there's any feature that groups photos by face, similar to what Google Photos offers. In Google Photos, I can see all the pictures of a specific person automatically grouped by their face. Is there a way to do the same in OneDrive, or is this feature planned for future updates? Thanks in advance for your help!247Views1like8CommentsWhat does the archive experience for OneDrive look like after the change to unlicensed accounts?
Based on this change, OneDrive accounts will be set to archive: Unlicensed OneDrive accounts subject to a retention policy, retention period, or legal hold will be automatically archived after 93 days of license removal. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/unlicensed-onedrive-accounts#enforcement-of-policy-changes-for-unlicensed-onedrive-accounts To test the experience, we attempted to run the PowerShell script used to archive a SharePoint site to a OneDrive site: Set-SPOSiteArchiveState https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/sharepoint-online/set-spositearchivestate?view=sharepoint-ps However, it does not appear that a OneDrive site type is supported with this script. Does anyone know what "archived" actually means in the context of a OneDrive account? Also, what will the experience be both from a user perspective and from an admin perspective? In SharePoint, there's a message indicating the site is in an archived state and admins can see a list of all archived sites via the admin center. I think a lot of confusion would be avoided if OneDrive "sites" appeared in a list like SharePoint sites do within the SharePoint admin center. Thank you!63Views1like2Comments
