Using Remote Desktop Client for Windows. For the last few weeks, our Users that have multiple monitors are reporting a problem when moving an application to the other screen, the open applications freeze. Things we tried: *We have tried updating Remote Desktop and rolling-back. I had updated my Microsoft RDP via App store yesterday. Shortly after, I cannot access my server CPU. The error message is  "Your session ended because of an error. If this keeps happening, contact your network administrator for assistance. Error code: 0x4" On my Mac, I had uninstalled the App, restarted the computer, restarted my internet, updated my Macbook version, but error still persists. Activating the "try the new client (preview)" option in AVD creates an issue with copy and pasting spreadsheet lines to Excel.   It's copied from a legacy application hosted in AVD that contains spreadsheets. As you can see using the old client it works like expected; it pastes all the lines appropriately into multiple rows. In the new client however the lines get copied into only one row instead. In the current Remote Desktop Client and also in the preview of the Azure Virtual Desktop App, it is unfortunately not saved in which state, and at which position the user has closed the desktop session.   Example: The session starts by default in Fullscreen, the user now switches to window mode and moves the window to the right of the screen. If the user ends the session or disconnects it and starts it again the session is back in fullscreen mode.   With the RDP properties you can influence the window behaviour a little bit, but not in the way that the Remote Desktop Client simply "notices" how the session was ended. Every other Windows program remembers the way (maximized/fullscreen) and position where it was closed.   Please change the behaviour to remember the position in window mode and whether the session ran in fullscreen or window.   ... We notice recently when our users open up the Web AVD site and it has the New Client Preview client turned on causing them unable to launch RemoteApp (No issue with Desktop session) at the following steps: -  Stuck at configuring Network connection,  -  Then it comes up with Sign in failed. Please check your username and password and try again. When we turn off the new client and revert back to the old web client, everything launching as expected. The Windows version of Microsoft Remote Desktop (10.2.3005.0) does not let us use a custom resolution. We can't even change the scaling if the resolution is set to "Choose for me". Giving us options to create custom resolutions would fix these issues as well.   Also, despite the resolution being 1:1 with the window, text will appear pixelated or blurry. The only apparent way to fix this is to change "When resizing the app" setting to "Show scroll bars". This will show scroll bars of course, but at least they're typically hidden automatically unless the mouse is near the window border. ... View more

Unable to shadow a users session that is using a remote app on a Windows 10/11 multi session host in Azure Virtual Desktop. When trying I just get a black screen. I am able to shadow user sessions that are on a desktop on the same hosts.   When I am shadowing and have a black screen, it will however still take keyboard input.   I am able to shadow user sessions that are using a remote app when the app is hosted on a Server 2012 host. But I no longer host apps on server 2012.   I am trying to shadow with this command example: mstsc.exe /v:<HOSTNAME> /shadow:<SESSION NUMBER> /control /noConsentPrompt   This issue is only happening on hybrid joined Windows 10/11 Multisession hosts, this issue does not exist on Azure joined hosts.   See ticket 2208100040006793 for reference. ...
