Teams Webinar registration link fails
I launched a new webinar on Teams and promoted the registration link. After a few hours around 20 people had registered. However, I then noticed that the option to "Manage the event" had disappeared and the registration link took me to https://events.teams.microsoft.com/fetch-error. You can probably see it failing if you go here: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/2e217d8e-d9ae-454e-aa0a-537bde08fe68@66463a77-6eeb-44ab-bd40-97c4b42ebdd4 In the image below you can see that there is no longer an option to manage the event. Perhaps this is a short-term issue with Teams. But I am not sure what to do as I have people who managed to register and it all seems to have stopped working!James_CanningsFeb 07, 2025Copper Contributor1.1KViews0likes3CommentsTeams Town Hall - preventing meeting responses when publishing the event
When publishing Town Hall events, is there some magical switch that needs to be thrown to prevent all of the meeting replies from being sent back to the publisher? Not finding much on this anywhere. I had a person publish an event to 1500 people (via distribution list) to ensure the event was on calendars, and received hundreds of responses. It seems like that would/should default to no responses, but those features are unavailable in the Teams calendar (only in Outlook). Suggestions?sam_bridegroomJan 23, 2025Copper Contributor734Views1like1CommentPlease introduce Recurring schedules for Webinar
Hi, We're moving towards using Teams more predominantly for virtual events and teaching. In some cases, it would be useful to use the registration features available in Webinar but have that govern a course which spans 10-12 weeks at a couple of hours per week. As registration has been removed as an option from Teams Meetings, can the ability to set recurring Webinars within Webinar Scheduling be introduced? Hello! I'm trying to setup a Webinar for my company and several people have registered for the webinar, but no one has received a confirmation email with the calendar invite/join now link. Has anyone else been dealing with this issue? I'm unsure how to fix at this time.SolvedhaleyjoDec 27, 2024Copper Contributor14KViews0likes30CommentsDisable chat Join and Leave notifications
For a recurring Teams meeting with hundreds of invitees, the Chat will fill up with useless notifications such as '<Person> has temporarily joined the chat' (see attachment). Is there some way I can turn off these join and leave notifications? The number of messages makes the Chat completely useless. I use the Q&A panel during the call and have Chat turned off. After the call I will turn Chat on temporarily in order to post a message. This doesn't seem to affect the Join and Leave notices though, the notices will be published in the Chat even when Chat is off.ux0042Dec 06, 2024Copper Contributor35Views0likes1CommentAssistance on Microsoft Townhalls, Live events and Webinars

I set up a Town Hall in Microsoft Teams and invited the members of a Microsoft 365 group. This group also includes guests who do not have a business, school, or university account. All participants can open and join the Town Hall via the link in the email invitation. Once I publish the recording after the Town Hall ends, all invitees receive another email informing them that the recording of the event is available. However, only people with a business, school, or university account can access the recording (VOD) via the link provided. If I alternatively provide a link for people with existing access through my OneDrive in the “Recordings” folder (shared with all members of the above Microsoft 365 group), access to the recording is possible. Is there a way to enable access to the VOD for people who do not have a business, school, or university account?TobiasKinznerOct 22, 2024Copper Contributor85Views0likes0Comments
