20 TopicsCan't Pre-Assign Breakout Rooms
I've used breakout rooms numerous times, and the majority of the time I use them I pre-assign the participants before the meeting. However, one specific meeting that I just scheduled won't let me assign participants. While in the breakout rooms settings, the "assign participants" option is there but it is greyed out. Almost as if the participants aren't showing up in the Teams calendar invite. However, I can see that these users have accepted the invitation. These users are all within my organization, too. Is this another Teams update/glitch?1KViews0likes1CommentSetting up live broadcast on staff meetings on MS Teams
Hi there, For a while, the staff in my office have been doing our staff meetings all on MS Teams online, broadcasted from our Boardroom and hosted by our CEO with people listening and contributing online. There's been a discussion recently about getting our face-to-face meetings back again, but they still want to include those who are WFH. Traditionally we held meetings up on our indoor Terrace with all the staff sitting in attendance while we projected our Powerpoint presentation on a projector board, and the speakers would get up in front of a mic and podium. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to go about this would be. Whether we need to buy a proper DSLR camera and hold it on a tripod, connecting it to the computer so it can broadcast and pick up the audio?723Views0likes2CommentsEmbed 'registration form' of a Teams Webinar in an iFrame: slow loading.
Hi, I'm trying to embed a Teams Webinar Registration-form on our company-website. It's a 'for everyone' registration form, so no MS-account needed to register. I'm trying this through a simple iFrame, with as the source url the registration-link as provided in the Teams-meeting (webinar-type). But it is loading very slow (takes ages/keeps hanging?) and sometimes it looks as if it is trying to open a pop-up which is getting blocked by default by most browsers. Any suggestion or alternative methods to embed these kind of registration-forms from MSTeams?7.2KViews0likes6CommentsMicrosoft Teams Live - Presenters unable to rejoin call
Teams Live destroyed an important national public broadcast by not allowing Presenters to rejoin after dropping from the call. Attempts by multiple Presenters to join a call were repeatedly aborted, whether they attempted to join with the Presenter link, or were directly invited into the call by the Producer. Nothing worked. Eventually, it was necessary to abandon further attempts at joining the call. Instead, a Presenter recorded a short video and sent it to another Presenter who was already in the call, who then played it on their behalf. Any insight into what went wrong, or a solution, without dropping the call, which was continuing live?562Views0likes0CommentsVideos stop-starting in Teams
I need to present a session that has embedded YouTube videos in the PowerPoint deck. When I share the deck, I cannot play the video. It plays for a fraction of a second and then stops. If I click play again, the same thing happens. The same applies when I try and share any video (online or local) on a Teams call. Even if I'm not sharing my screen but I'm on a teams call, I cannot play videos.Solved2.5KViews2likes3CommentsTeams webinar 'no longer exists'
I set up a webinar with registration, which was working fine up until monday last week (7th March) - it now says that it no longer exists when you click on it in the calendar, and as such I'm not able to make any edits or download an updated registration list. It also no longer has the ability to join when you right click on it. It is still present in my outlook calendar with all of the original information, and It can be joined from here (so it does exist). The only thing that is different about this one is that you'll see in the picture above there are 6 workshops, each set up as a separate teams meeting. I created a table with a hyperlink to each of these and put it in the body of text for the meeting. Everything in one place so that attendees would know where to go next. Could this have somehow confused it by having other hyperlinks in the actual body of it? Has anyone else had this problem before and managed to resolve it? Or any other suggestions? I can't set it up all over again because 200 odd people have already registered and that would generate a new link to join. Thanks, Steve990Views0likes1CommentTeams live event "Program" NDI output
Am I the only one who is missing a "Live event Program feed" NDI output from Teams when producing live events? Sometimes we need to produce RTMP live events to a specific service instead of Teams Live events. But with all remote participants on Teams. In this scenario I would enable NDI output on my producer Teams client and then capture it with OBS or similar tool for RTMP streaming. The "Active Speaker" NDI output from Teams actually shows the Program feed branded with a Teams logo in the corner when first joining the event. But the problem is that as soon as another presenter unmutes and starts speaking, then the NDI output switches to his video feed (without Teams branding) even though i didn't send him "live". It makes sense that this happens as it's the "Active Speaker" output It would be really nice in live events to also have a "Program feed" NDI output from the Teams client. Or alternatively that the Active Speaker output in live events always showed the Program output instead.1.8KViews0likes1CommentWebinar Button Display
We have enabled meeting registration in our global policy but the webinar button only appears for those with live event scheduling enabled, a totally separate policy and a smaller subset of our users. This means that whilst users can create webinars by adding registration a meeting, most don't see the meeting dropdown with the webinar option so we can't use adoption assets like the quick start guide. Is this intentional? Are there plans to link the webinar button to meeting registration policy so that it will appear in the new meeting dropdown when meeting registration is enabled or will it always be tied to live events scheduling policy?Solved1.4KViews0likes5Comments
