9 TopicsAudio quality when using Teams Townhall with rtmp-in.
Hi everyone I have broadcast a live music (orchestra) concert using Teams Townhall with rtmp-in (using Blackmagic Design web presenter). When I checked the archive recorded on Teams, I realized that the volume of the music is being ducked automatically. All my audio sources are mixed down with a professional digital mixer before streaming to Teams so basically they have a good balanced. I have another back-up recorded data and it does not have the same problem, so i think it is caused by the algorithm of Teams, and even if I am using an external encoder?? Is there a method to fix this problem? I have compared the data recorded by the external device and teams. The ducking is quite obvious. Lower: Recorded on Teams Townhall Thank you Cheers Carson49Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Live events assistance

Does a *free* solution exist to simulate Teams live event traffic from multiple machines similar to the Microsoft Teams Network Assessment tool for troubleshooting purposes? IIRC at least one of the ECDN vendors offers something, but I think you have to commit to purchasing before you use their solution.768Views0likes0CommentsTeams Live Events- External Presenter Toggle Switch not updating

Hello Everyone, I know many of you are already hosting Teams live events but might have heard different types of notifications sounds during the live events. This can very be distracting, unprofessional or disturbing. Please find some important ways to ignore these dings and pings sound during the event: 1. Go to the settings of your Teams Client and choose your status to DND (Do not disturb), by doing that you will not hear any ping sound while receiving any message , though you will be receiving all the messages from others but silently. Checkout the below screenshot as a reference : 2. Second way , If you go the right bottom corner of your system's task bar and hit the notification center and click on the below icon shown in the screenshot and set it to PRIORITY only , you could actually avoid the unexpected sounds from your system during the event : 3. And the last way would be , go to the start menu of your windows and type FOCUS ASSIST , open the setting and choose PRIORITY ONLY I hope this will help you to produce the events more efficiently. Hello, I'm producing a Teams Live event with 7 presenters and wanted to know a solution for the internal event group chat. I use the internal chat to alert presenters of the run-of-show, etc. The issue is when they're sent 'Live,' you can hear the ping of the internal chat echoing in the background. I searched for a solution (e.g. forums; YT) to this production concern and couldn't find one. Here are my questions: How do you silence or mute the internal event group chat? What solution do you propose to mitigate the chat ping? What are better ways to cue presenters w/o using chat? Thanks!970Views0likes1CommentNDI audio sync issue
Hi, I recently ran a live event using the NDI function of Teams to pull out the speakers and manipulate them in OBS (layouts etc) and then put into a public Teams Live event. The issue I encountered was with the NDI feed and audio / video sync. Each NDI feed brings in the entire audio feed from the meeting but what I have found is that the audio is only in sync with the video of that feed. To try to explain this clearly, let's say I am pulling two presenters out of the Teams meeting. NDI feed 1 has presenter 1 video and the audio mix NDI feed 2 has presenter 2 video and the audio mix If I have both NDI feeds side by side, and only have the audio of feed 1, presenter 1 is in sync with the audio but presenter 2 is out of sync with audio. If I have both NDI feeds side by side, and only have the audio of feed 2, presenter 1 is out of sync with the audio but presenter 2 is in sync with audio. I obviously can't have both NDI feeds unmuted as the audio doesn't match at all. I can work around this by taking the audio directly out of the meeting (where everything is in sync) and bringing into OBS directly and bypassing NDI. But that just seems silly. Any thoughts? I'm assuming other people see this same issue. Thanks Damien3.6KViews0likes1Comment
