Teams Live Event : Audience gets "Can't load the live event. Try rejoining" message

I've tried searching for information about this error but haven't found anything (one Reddit post only).

We've run Teams Live Events for many years. Several hundred attendees at a time, 8 to 12 presenters and producers.

The past two weeks 5th May and 10th May we've had some attendees (likely less than 10 per event) that have joined then been shown the following  message "Can't load the live event. Try rejoining" 

 

I thought it might be an issue due to the organiser's Teams version differeing from the Audience member's TEams version but that wasn't the case. V1.6.00.6754 on 5th May.

 

We thought it might be due to poor internet connection but on both dates, one person in our head office had the problem, even though the other staff in the same physical location didn't have the problem.

 

Given that the same issue occoured on 2 different dates AND impacted different staff (some the overlap) I believe the problem is a TEAMS Live Event bug.

 

I'll log a Microsoft ticket but wanted to ask the community if any one else has seen this issue?

    I have experienced this, and traced it down to my VPN connection.

    While I was able to telnet to servers, so the connection wasn't completely broken, I was unable to connect to the internet or teams meetings.

    So I think this is quite a general error message.

    Just experienced this on a massive scale whereabout 300 attendees got this error. Have you had any resolution on this? Dorje-McKinnon
