Move files from Account A to Account B 165 GB data
I’ve been using Microsoft Office 365 Family for several years, sharing it with my family members. We have 6 accounts, each with 1 TB of storage. One of my accounts has now reached 985 GB, so I need to transfer files from Account A (my account) to Account B (my wife’s account). These files mainly consist of photos and videos — over 200,000 files in total. I tried transferring a 6 GB wedding shoot (.ISO format), but it took more than an hour. Re-downloading and uploading all the data isn’t feasible as my internet connectivity is limited to 100 mbps only. I’m looking for the best and most efficient way to move these files directly between OneDrive accounts.35Views0likes0CommentsOneDrive - Mass File Deletion by OneDrive
I noticed in late July/early August that files in my OneDrive folders suddenly vanished. More than 25 years' worth data gone. Close to 300 GB of both personal and business data. Only the files were gone. The folders and file structure remained untouched. My OneDrive space is 2 TB. The Recycle Bin was empty. My OneDrive account has been active since OneDrive started and remains so without interruption. Through the forum community I learned that I am not alone with my frustrations. Microsoft Support scheduled a telephone call. The gentleman who called was rude. He said the only way files were deleted was by the user (i.e., me). That suggestion is ridiculous as it suggests I went into hundreds of individual folders and subfolders to delete files but leave the folder structure intact. The gentleman said there was no way OneDrive or Microsoft could cause that to happen. News flash. It wasn't just me. I later submitted a request for assistance by messaging OneDrive Support asking my issue to be escalated to the OneDrive Engineering Team for a One-Time Data Restoration (OTDR). I'm still waiting for a response or even as much as an acknowledgement of my support request. Does anyone else recognize this issue? What other ideas have others tried that worked to fix the problem? Any ideas on how I get my files back?58Views1like1CommentSocial media links on these community pages
II don't know if this is due to my use of Firefox on my PC, but when I came here, I had to reduce the page size to 80% so those multiple social media links would not interfere with the display. Among other things, it make the past difficult for me to read. Can I eliminate those links?22Views0likes1CommentOneDrive stops syncing folders at random
Hi team I've got a couple of devices that are syncing less then 300,000 items. A couple of times a month OneDrive just stops syncing and won't start until its reset. Just to clarify OneDrive is still running, it just doesn't sync anything and the OneDrive status icons in File Explorer disappear Reset OneDrive resolves the issue but its frustrating as some of the files are shared with other people and I don't see their updates. Pause OneDrive and restart it doesn't do anything I have 100gb free on one device, 66gb on another and 50gb on the third No shortcuts are syncing Onedrive metered network option is turned off Updated to 25.184.0921.0004 No bandwidth limits applied Has anyone else had this experience? If so what did you do for a solution? Any assistance is appreciated36Views0likes1CommentAccidentally deleted ALL of my files
I was under the impression that I was saving all of my files locally. I occasionally accidentally save something in OneDrive, and would leave it there, but most things were going into Documents, Pictures, etc. I have a different OneDrive path on my computer that I could see when I saved documents in Word. Today I decided it was annoying to keep accidentally saving in the wrong place, so I deleted OneDrive. There were way too many files for the Recycle Bin, so it was a hard delete. To my shock, all of my folders vanished. It turns out Documents, Videos, etc, were all in OneDrive. The problem is that when I go online and sign into my onedrive, I only see the files that I would occasionally accidentally save there, and those have not been deleteed. The bulk of my files, the ones from my local computer, are not there. I tried resetting to yesterday and it looks exactly the same. Any idea where those files were saved/are now? Are they recoverable or am I epically screwed?43Views0likes1CommentAccess Denied Page blocked as it violates the Acceptable Use Policy

Hello, Onedrive ran out of cloud storage space for this person. It then popped up a prompt to delete several thousand files, with zero background information. Are these files simply older versions of files in the Onedrive cloud? Are they local files on the C drive? This is a pretty loaded question to ask a person without providing any background information. This information would ideally be provided in an accurate summary format, IE: "to free up cloud storage space, Onedrive recommends deleting these older version files, all of which will still have a more recent version remaining in the cloud AFTER the deletion." On a related note, it would be really nice if there were a few automated script actions that could be made available in the online web interface to Onedrive to help people clear up space, like "delete all but the most recent X versions of files within directory OnedriveRoot:/this/is/the/path" Thanks, A frustrated IT support dude13Views0likes0CommentsBlock/prevent specific folders from being sync'ed
As OneDrive admins we would like to block/prevent specific folders from being sync'ed (i.e node_modules), using policies. In the roadmap there is this item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?id=178292 that was supposed to be rolling by now, any information about its status? Thanks53Views0likes0CommentsIs it possible to restore a folder to a previous state?
Is there a way to restore a folder to its previous state? For example its state as at one week ago? I see this is possible for individual files, but not for folders. (Maybe the solution is to delete the folder and then look for a version in the onedrive recycle bin - will this work?)27Views0likes2CommentsOneDrive wanted me to set up backing up to OneDrive, again
When I logged into my Windows 11 machine here at home, I was presented with a full-window popup from OneDrive. It wanted me to set up backing up my important folders like Documents, Photos, etc. I have been paying for Microsoft 365 Family Edition for at least 10 years, so I've done this already. But I thought I'd go ahead and do it again. But now I'm wondering, might I have accidentally created a second schedule job to back up my Documents, Photos, etc. to OneDrive, duplicating what I've done when I set those things up years ago?26Views0likes0CommentsOneDrive for Business is showing I've used 700BG of space even though I've deleted everything.
OneDrive for Business is showing I've used 700BG of space. However, I have deleted everything from OneDrive and emptied both levels of recycle bin. Even the OneDrive page that shows you the biggest files in OneDrive is empty. And yet OneDrive claims 700GB are in use. I have NO files. Why is OneDrive showing 700GB used space?Solved50Views0likes2CommentsChanging to Always Keep... changes all folders
Within a folder on OneDrive, there are other folders and files. I want to have some just on the cloud, and always keep some on my computer. When I click on Always Keep On This Computer, all the other folders at that folder level also change to Always Keep On This Computer. I'm not talking about the contents of the folder (which I'd expect to change), I'm talking about the folders at the same level as the one I change. Also, I have a couple of folders and files that show the white checked status icon in windows explorer (as opposed to the solid green one). The right click list shows a check on those for Always Keep on this computer. Why don't they have the solid green status icon? They don't even change in the situation described above.102Views2likes3CommentsLooking for a cloud storage solution
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive cloud storage platform that will allow me to create/access/sync files from multiple computers? I've been using Dropbox, which is great, but it is $12 per month on top of my 365 Personal account costs. Thanks!75Views1like2CommentsOneDrive folders no longer have picture previews
ALL folders in OneDrive were just fine until I downloaded all recent Windows 10 updates. Now, the majority of my folders in OneDrive have no picture preview, just a tiny icon instead. The same goes for picture folders outside of OneDrive. Why do so many of my folders look like this? How do I get the previews back?32Views0likes0CommentsOneDrive for Business sync issues.
Hello Please i need your help on this issue. We are having OneDrive for Business sync issues. Our Client rossmachineshop.onmicrosoft.com has been having issues with long onedrive sync issues for some time. We have been working to help them move files to new libraries to reduce quantity of files being synced. Recently it seems that nearly all users are experiencing issues. We would like assistance in troubleshooting what is happening.39Views0likes0CommentsScores of foreign labels in library?
When scanning my OneDrive library, I came across dozens of screens' worth of what appear to be labels related to foreign languages or applications I don't commonly use. Where do these come from, and is it safe to delete them? I'm viewing them on IOS 15.6.1.51Views0likes1CommentOnedrive file sync issue
I just recently had an issue where my files were not synced because i had run out of onedrive storage space so i just got rid of a bunch of unnecessary files sitting around which freed up a ton of space. The files still werent synced so i resett one drive to sync them back up but when i did that it just restored the files i had just deleted. I kept trying over and over again but the same kept happening and now i cant sycn my files. Ive tried everything, restarted my computer. Reinstalled onedrive but its all not working and my files and folders wonf sync. What do i do to fix this?179Views1like2Comments
