MS Project and Teams collaboration

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

I am still thinking if am doing the right thing. When I create a new project and added it to my teams channel, everyone in my channel will have access to the project. If the project is for different stakeholders who are not in my team, I had to create a new channel. This implies that for a new project with different stakeholders, I have to create a new channel.

My channels in teams are becoming numerous, is this the best way to go about it? I have tried creating a private team in my channel but MS Project does not seem to integrate with the private teams channel.

Hello @Richiee ,

As you have seen, access is based on membership to the underlying M365 Group, this is detailed here for Project for the web: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/share-a-project-in-project-for-the-web-885758f0-c216-4129...
Here for Teams: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/office-365-groups

What you are seeing is not unusual.
