OneDrive Files on Demand for Mac
The relaunch fixed it!!!! I feel like I have tried everything prior to that. Your awesome!
@Ben, beside the context menu is the files on demand function working on your system?

- Cameron NielsenNov 26, 2018Copper ContributorUPDATE: So I clicked the link to download the "18.151.0729.0014" client for enterprise they say is for rolling out today...and I already installed it...so why does my client not say this version number? Ugh, MS...

So I just downloaded the MacOS 'Enterprise' client supposedly released today, from this website.
Is this supposed to fix my issues?...
I have Version 18.212.1021.0007 (Standalone).
The previous version has been hiccuping on small files and ruining my bootcamp back and forth workflow for the last month. I have 1MB jpegs that haven't synced that I created on October 30th...

Makes sense - I'll give it a go from the link you provided and report back. Thanks Ben,see page 2 of this thread if the script doesn't run you can just enter the commands manually in terminal.

Ben - Thanks for the quick reply, this is really good to know. Perhaps I'm mistakenly seeing all of the file names coming in, and it is just indexing the directories with file names/folders vs. downloading the actual file. I should look at the properties of the actual files on the machine.
On the 6 or so Macs you are testing it on, are these accounts considered in the "Insider Program" or are they standard Mac users who are pretty simple and not tech savvy (ie. would not be a beta tester). I have a quite a few of the non tech savvy users, so would like for it to be pretty painless for them if I've proven out that it works through my testing first.
Also - It appears I need to not direct these users to the Mac App Store, correct? I believe that version of OneDrive doesn't support Files-On-Demand, if I understand correctly?
Thanks!
- Ben SwabyNov 10, 2018Copper ContributorInteresting on your issues. I am testing on about a half dozens Macs now and everything is working great. Only main issues we have had is AV causing files to download and once a day having to do the relaunch command for the context menus to come back. Still haven’t figured that out. The only thing we have seen that’s a little misleading is the initial sync as it comes off as the files are physically downloading, but they are just downloading the file names and some meta type data.
- DeletedNov 10, 2018Anyone have any idea why this isn't out of the "Insiders Ring" / Beta, supposedly it's been nearly a year since it was announced. This is kind of insane they can't finish the interface and functionality to actually work. Like others have noted, I have constant problems with libraries, I even re-formatted my Mac with a fresh install of macOS Mojave 10.14.1 and the latest version of OneDrive and everything downloads.
