A new integration with Viva Engage is available for Teams. The integration adds communities to the Teams navigation bar. It’s kind of odd when a separate highly functional Communities app exists. It’s unclear who is demanding another point of integration between Viva Engage and Teams. The suspicion is that this work is due to internal politics rather than to facilitate better collaboration. https://office365itpros.com/2026/01/23/viva-engage-teams-integration/14Views0likes0CommentsTeams Meeting Share Button
I can't say how many times users that are on a Teams meeting have accidentally clicked on the "Leave" button when they meant to click the "Share" button simply because of the close proximity to each other. Can anything be done to put some space between the two buttons to help prevent this from happening?NewtronJan 23, 2026Brass Contributor110Views0likes3CommentsRandomly getting opt-out / opt-in in a CallQueue
Dear All, Once again one of my customers is experiencing something no other words can describe but: magical. Set-up: CallQueue "CQ1" Call answering: "Team1" (with 8 people in it) Conference mode: on Routing: attendant and not precence-based Users can opt out of taking calls 2 out of the 8 persons in Team1 is experiencing that they are randomly getting opt-out or opt-in during the day. Already deleted the cache, re-installed teams (newest versions) but this unwanted magical thingy is still occurring multiple times a day. Anyone else having or had this symptoms? Can't figure out what to do next. Thanks for you thoughts and time! BenjaminBvdL79Jan 22, 2026Brass Contributor589Views4likes8CommentsCreating channel meetings triggers emails to all Teams members
I'm struggling with a delicate and strange problem. We mainly use Channel Meetings in Microsoft Teams. The problem is that absolutely all team members receive an email about the meeting, regardless of whether they are invited to the meeting or not. As I understand it, only those who are invited to the Channel Meeting should receive an invitation. However, I should be able to choose to notify all Team members if I wish, but that is not the case. When I check the M365 groups, the setting "Send copies of team emails and events to team members inboxes" is disabled and I think this should be enough, but it clearly is not. Does anyone here have a solution to this?489Views1like5CommentsChannel Meeting Chat can only be viewed from the channel
Why can't chats from a meeting channel appear in the chat section of Teams? Our project team have decided against holding meetings in channels due to this reason because it's a hassle to navigate back to the Team. I have the view set up correctly an you cannot see the chat where we would do all other regular meeting chats. Apparently this is by design? Why...?hoopermJan 21, 2026Copper Contributor21Views0likes0CommentsGuest users removed from Teams Group Chat
Our users are sharing a group chat with an external organization, users were invited by the creator of the group chat. Today all of the external users were removed from the group, we have no idea why. We have a guess that it happened because the user who created the group chat left the organization and his user was disabled in Entra-ID. This is the second time this has happened to this group of users, last week, in a similar way, all of our users were removed from a group created by a user in the other organization. Any explanation or more information as to how to prevent/debug this situation is welcome. Thanks! I am absolutely hating the new filters that only allow you to view "regular" chats and meeting chats separately. I don't know why they didn't include an "all" tab. Is there a way to view all chats at once that I am missing?CAS98Jan 19, 2026Copper Contributor3.3KViews4likes7CommentsStrange ringtone is played through Bluetooth headphones when receiving call in MS Teams
Windows 11 22621.1413 (happened on previous builds as well) Asus Zephyrus M16 GU603ZW Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.4472 (64-bit) (happened on previous versions as well) Headphones: Jabra Elite Active 7 Have a very weird and annoying problem: if I connect a headset to the notebook via Bluetooth, I am getting a strange ringtone when I receive a call in MS Teams. I have turned off "play sound for incoming calls and notifications" option, but it is still ringing. I thought it was a feature of Jabra headphones (tried on Jabra 75t), but when I connected wife's Samsung headphones (Samsung Buds 2), I got the different ringtone! 🙂 Neither of these ringtones are MS Teams ringtones (checked all available) and weirdly enough, none of them are visible on visualization in System->Sound->More sound settings -> Playback (it seems it plays on headphones itself). Jabra support said they do not have any pre-loaded ringtones on the headphones. Additionally, when I'm on the meeting in MS Teams, this ringtone is not playing when I receive calls. Having this issue for a year already, but to be honest, was not able to understand the cause of it. When I connect a non-Bluetooth headset (SteelSeries Arctic 7) I don't hear any additional ringtone. Reinstalled Teams completely - did not help. Any ideas how to disable it?Ivan_LYJan 19, 2026Copper Contributor4.4KViews0likes3CommentsAllow muting a person only for me
Sometimes I am in a meeting where one of the persons in the meeting is actually near me in the world outside the screen. In this case the sound is a bit maddening since there is a small delay between the sound from the person and the sound through the teams interface. In these cases, I would like to mute the person only for me since I am sitting near and can hear the person fine without headphones. Right now I need to takeoff headphones when the person is talking and putting it back as the person finishes talking.er008Jan 19, 2026Iron Contributor127KViews188likes149Comments
