Windows 8.1 ISO download for 64 and 32 bit
We have a couple of Windows 7 laptops and desktop PCs to upgraded to Windows 8.1 for software testing. It seems Microsoft no longer hosts the Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 ISO file. What is the best place to let me download Windows 8.1 ISO file now? Safety is our first priority as we will run some corporate based apps on these machine.1View0likes0CommentsWhich version of Windows 11 is best for gaming?

I need help with the correct boot order. I take directions well. I would appreciate any help, thanks!43Views0likes1CommentLatest Windows 11 Update Delete My Bluetooth Software
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 17 laptop. I have just updated the latest Windows 11 dated September 8. All of a sudden, my Bluetooth was not working anyway. I checked what software was affected by the update, it showed the Bluetooth software was removed. I tried to install the software again via Dell website and restarted, still no Bluetooth. In the Settings, Bluetooth was not shown so I cannot turn it on. What can I do to get Bluetooth back ? Any suggestions and comments are much appreciated. Thank you.26Views0likes0CommentsHow to password protect a zip file in Windows 11?
I know how to create a zip archive in Windows 11 but I don't know how to add password to zip file as the files are quite sensitive and confidential. What's the easiest way to password protect a zip file? I tested the Windows 11 built-in ZIP compression tool but it doesn't support password protection, so do I need third-party software? If so, which free and reliable tools do you recommend? Also, if there's a way to do it via Command Line or PowerShell, I'd like to try it out too. Thanks in advance for your help!28KViews7likes14CommentsThe Complete Guide to Widgets in Windows 11

So I have been trying to figure out why when I restart my PC just sits and the boot screen with the loading animation just spinning forever. When I do a total shutdown and cold boot it works fine. I know this can be a complicated issue, especially with limited information. So Im fully willing to provide any information that might help. Just not sure what that might be. Is there anyhing in the Event Viewer that would show what the problem is even though windows hasnt started yet? I do not know if this is related but it sure seems suspicious. When I look at bcdedit I get this... C:\Windows\System32>bcdedit Windows Boot Manager -------------------- identifier {bootmgr} device unknown path \EFI\MICROSOFT\BOOT\BOOTMGFW.EFI description Windows Boot Manager locale en-US inherit {globalsettings} flightsigning Yes default {current} resumeobject {7012cb0e-408f-11ec-bad2-000272a965f4} displayorder {current} toolsdisplayorder {memdiag} timeout 30 Windows Boot Loader ------------------- identifier {current} device partition=C: path \WINDOWS\system32\winload.efi description Windows 11 locale en-US inherit {bootloadersettings} recoverysequence {7012cb11-408f-11ec-bad2-000272a965f4} displaymessageoverride Recovery recoveryenabled Yes C:\Windows\System32> Yes flightsigning Yes allowedinmemorysettings 0x15000075 osdevice partition=C: systemroot \WINDOWS resumeobject {7012cb0e-408f-11ec-bad2-000272a965f4} nx OptIn bootmenupolicy Standard A device which does not exist was specified. Most all of that looks fine but I noticed the "device unknown" under the bootmgr section and at the end "A device which does not exist was specified." I dont know if that has anything to do with my boot dilemma but it definitely seems like something that could be imortant and should not be there. My PC is one I built and the basic hardware is... Any advice at all would be great and I thank everyone ahead of time.138Views0likes3CommentsTaskbar icons keep getting smaller
My taskbar icons keep getting smaller. They are getting so small they are difficult to make out. This has happened in stages. I have not changed my scale settings, which are the recommended ones. Everything else displayed has remained as it was. Only the taskbar icons have changed. There is no direct taskbar scale setting in Windows 11. What could cause this weird behavior? How can I fix it?331Views0likes6CommentsSound card issues
After updating to the 11 system, I encountered an issue with my sound card where my headphones could not distinguish between left and right channels. The stereo settings could distinguish between left and right channels, but there was an issue with the input. I have reverted back to the 10 system, but the issue persists.30Views0likes1CommentThe computer is like someone is constantly pressing the keyboard ↓.
The computer seems as if someone is constantly pressing the keyboard ↓. When you click on the login password interface, it automatically selects the network icon in the lower right corner. When you click on the network icon, it automatically scrolls down to the last WiFi.25Views0likes1CommentPreparing for a disaster
So one day, the computer is going to crash and I like to be prepare for it. What I am doing current is to image the drive using A0MEI backuppper. This has been useful in the past when I had to restore the drive after it wouldn't startup after a windows update. What else should I do though? 1. Should I create a windows recovery usb drive? In the past, this hasn't been useful because I would boot up the windows recovery only to discover that the version on the drive is too old. I also could not use a key generated on a different computer. 2. Are there encryption items that I need to record. I would think that if I had things like BIOS password, I would need to log that. I would also need to log things like bitlocker recovery password. 3. A lot of computer comes with some sort of recovery partition. I am wondering if they are still useful after a few years. That partition may contain really old version of windows.15Views0likes1CommentOld Win 10 PC died, can't find Licence Key
Had my almost 10 year old desktop killed by a power surge, PSU and motherboard were fried. I've tried finding the licence key on the still working C: but no luck. Having a new desktop built and Win 11 is being installed (not buying a licence). If I log into my Microsoft account on this new machine will it automatically licence itself? When I log into my Microsoft account it doesn't show that I ever purchased Win 10.30Views0likes1CommentWindows 7 ISO file download for 32 bit and 64-bit all in one?
My older PC, which must run Windows 7 for legacy application support, has failed to boot into the desktop. I need to perform a repair installation or reinstall the OS to get it working again. To do this, I require a genuine Windows 7 ISO file. I own a valid product key for the software. Could a moderator or community expert please provide Windows 7 ISO file download for 32 bit and 64 bit? I want to ensure I get an unmodified version directly from a trusted source to avoid any security risks. Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional are fine for me!71Views0likes7CommentsPlease, Bring Back Full Taskbar Customization in Windows 11!!!
Hi everyone, I have submitted a feedback in the Feedback Hub about the taskbar in Windows 11. Many of us miss the flexibility we had in Windows 10, and I think it's important Microsoft hears this from as many users as possible. Specifically, the feedback asks Microsoft to: Allow the taskbar to be moved to the top (and other sides) of the screen. Bring back multi-row taskbars for people who pin many apps. Support custom toolbars again (quick access to folders, files, and shortcuts). Make it possible to keep system tray icons always visible without extra clicks. If you also miss these features, please upvote the feedback here: 👉 https://aka.ms/AAxn2ht The Windows taskbar has always been one of the most important parts of the OS, and restoring these customization options would improve productivity and make Windows 11 more user-friendly for everyone. I recently backed up my iPhone to my Windows PC using iTunes as a precaution. I now need to retrieve some specific information from that backup, like old text messages and photos, but I've discovered the backup files themselves are unreadable without special software. I need a safe and reliable way to explore iphone backup file and extract my data. I found the backup folder on my computer, but the files have scrambled names. I'm hesitant to try random software from the web. Could anyone recommend a trusted method or tool for viewing iPhone backup contents? I'm open to both free and paid options if they are effective. Thanks for any advice you can offer.7Views0likes0Comments
