When viewing file properties, the window pops up off-center on the screen, obscuring the content.
When you select a folder and press Alt + Enter to open the Properties window, the window pops up off-center in the upper-left corner of the screen, causing part of its content to extend beyond the visible area of the screen. You must drag the window to use it properly.

Open the Properties window by selecting a folder and pressing Alt + Enter.
This is usually caused by Windows remembering a dialog position from a previous display layout, resolution, or scaling setting. File Explorer does not have a setting that forces every Properties window to open in the centre of the screen.
When the Properties window appears, press Alt + Space, then M. Use the arrow keys to move the window back into view, then press Enter. Close the window after placing it where you want it; Windows will often remember the new position.
If it keeps returning to the upper-left corner, check Settings > System > Display and make sure the current display uses its recommended resolution and scale. If the PC was previously connected to another monitor, disconnect any unused displays, restart File Explorer from Task Manager, and test again. On a multi-monitor setup, Win + Shift + Left/Right Arrow can also move the active window between screens.
Avoid registry fixes for this. If the problem continues with the recommended display settings and after restarting Explorer, test with another Windows user profile to determine whether the saved window position is specific to the current profile.
