sharepoint site visitors do not see channels

I'm making a readonly acces in some sharepoint-sites for a user.

In Sharepoint i make this user a sitevisitor

I can see this permission is inherreted to the channels

The user can however not see the channels in Sharepoint

When searching for the channels the user can find them an access them as a sharepoint-site

Is this normal behaviour or am i missing something?

@Jurgenwh what do you mean by channels? SharePoint doesn't have channels, it has list, libraries and pages. Can you explain a bit more please.

@Rob_Elliott i mean the channels made in Teams they appear in SharePoint as channels in the main SharePoint-site. i attached a screenshot.
