I want to assign a person for a particular folder in Dcument library, I have added the column titled "Point of Contact". But when I upload a folder I am not able to assign a person. I am able to assign a person if i upload a document like word or PDF file.
Please help me to solve this problem

It is my understanding that folders by default do not accept metadata via the standard form. However, there is an easy workaround.
1. Make sure you are in a NON-GROUPED view
2. Click on "Quick Edit" in the command bar
3. Update the field you want
4. Click "Exit quick edit"
